They had both a Spanish and English menu for convenience. I tried the al pastor ($24 MXN), lengua ($34), and suadero ($24). My favorite was the al pastor that they shaved freshly off the trompo. As we continued to order more tacos the food came out blazing quick. Of all the taco places we went to this was my favorite. It was the closest to what I'm familiar with but the meat was also more tender and flavorful. It might not be known as a top-tier taco spot, but it was simple and the tacos hit the spot.

The al pastor de trompo tacos were quite flavorful though the al pastor with cheese rendition they offer was rather laughable (see photo). The LENGUA here is most revered and comes pristine -- raw and whole. It does make it quite the adventurous eat, in the end, since although it is JUICY, it's also got a gamyness to it. A satisfying late night meal was had here though! A surprisingly worthy top and more so than the polished, touristy destination next door.

We ordered right away and once the food came out the waitress who took our order stated that the tacos were coming out were "costillas". We had only ordered the Al pastor tacos and the chorizo tacos so we were confused and told her right away that we didn't order that. The waitress immediately became defensive and told me that that's what I ordered. I told her calmly, no mam, I know what I ordered. I would never order this and yet again she sternly states no you ordered this so if you don't want it that's on you. I looked at her all crazy in disbelief so she then asked the cook what tacos are these and he states chorizo. The lady then turns around back us and says oh here you go it's what you ordered with a smile. No apology, no nothing. I was in disbelief. Since I'm American, I guess I'm use to customer service and clearly this lady had 0. The chorizo tacos ended up being horrible, would rate them a 2 out of 10. However the Al Pastor taco was delicious! I would rate those an 8.5 out of 10. If I'm in the area, I would probably only pick up the Al pastor tacos and TO GO. I would gladly avoid being served by ignorant waitresses there. I would advise you all too. :)
