I especially loved adding the vanilla wafer cookie to my coffee. We tried both the chicken and beef empanadas. Both were good, but we both agreed the beef empanadas were the standout. The flan was also delicious and definitely worth ordering. The staff were friendly and welcoming each time we visited. One thing I'd note for first-time visitors is that it seems easiest to order at the register, especially when things get busy and there's a lot going on. I found this place online rated as one of the best Cuban coffee spots in Miami so I had to visit while on vacation. It is right in the heart of Little Havana so there is plenty to walk around and sightsee before or after your visit. Now let's get into the real review, the coffee drinks were strong and delicious, just how it should be. We had no clue what to get but the customer service was top tier. Our waiter just asked about our coffee preferences (hot, cold, strong, sweet, alcoholic, etc.) and chose the perfect options for us. The only reason why I am rating 4/5 instead of 5/5 is just because of the prices. We had two coffee drinks and a small tiramisu that costed $35. I had a double espresso, a ham sandwich (called "tentempié," which means "little snack"), and a beef empanada. My wife and I split a guava cheese pastry and tres leches cake. Everything was delicious and my favorite food items were my little sandwich and the tres leches. The guava cheese pastelito was good, but we are spoiled to have Porto's at home, which is unbelievably good and an unfair comparison. The empanada was loaded with meat and the flaky pastry dough was delicious, but the meat was lacking complexity, but that's a personal preference and not a criticism. Maybe I should have tried the chicken instead? No surprise, the coffee was amazing. I had a sip of my wife's tres leches latte and it was great, if you don't drink black coffee. When you are done, you can head to the cash register to pay your bill or else sit idly at your table wondering "where is the check?" like us! We were looking on yelp for somewhere to go have a great coffee. I found this little place so we headed to little Havana. Parking was a bit rough at first but we did find a lot behind the McDonalds that is free during the day. If not they do have paid parking spots along the street. I can't remember everything we got as we ended up visiting this location 3 times in 2 days and even took friends here who enjoyed it equally as much as we did. If you're lucky while visiting you will be able to see some of the roasting coffee bean process as the machine is right there in the main seating area. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help you decide on what to order and they eager to talk about the roasting process. I highly recommend giving this place a try. We do, and wait for someone to come by to take our order, but nobody ever does. I go back up to the counter and say I just want a coffee to go.
