This is a really cute coffee shop! I like the old school, vinyl vibes. The coffee is from Honduras, and it was very smooth, but a little too bitter for me. I had the raspberry fresh cold brew. Ive had a raspberry fresh latte before and really enjoyed it, but i didn't like it as much with the cold brew. Next time I come back, i would probably try their latte instead. Pay close attention to the cute decor! I also recommend their empanadas they are very good. The baristas are kind and helpful with selecting coffees.

Phenomenal coffee, lots of great options, and good variety of sweet and savory snacks. Prices consistent with other places in the area. Friendly staff, good vibes. You can get work done here with a laptop or chat with friends (ie you don't have to be quiet but also it's ok to work). Clean restroom. Great location by the bus and if you're lucky you can park.

The more coffeeshops in the neighborhood, the better. That helps keep variety, price and quality on check. Consumers always win when there is competition. I was at Rutina Cafe the day after they opened and I was happy to see the high traffic they had. That's a good sign. I had a flat white and a guava and cheese danish. The flat white was pretty good, taste and looks, both were great. However, I gotta say it was not hot enough, by the time you are half way into the coffee, it's barely warm. That's what I would have improved. Other than that, it was balanced with the perfect strength and acidity. The guava and cheese danish was screaming Miami, so good. My main problem with Rutina is the pricing. I strongly believe $7.50 for a flat white is way too expensive. With 3 other coffeeshops within blocks and one to open across the street pretty soon, this pricing won't go that far. That's my opinion. I will certainly return for more guava and cheese danish. Yum!!

The prices are a bit steep but their matcha is pretty decent. I like the vibe of this place too kinda reminds me of Dante hifi a little bit.

Such a cute little Hondurian coffee shop that opened around 2.5 months ago! Owners are so kind, introduced themselves when I entered. Been there 3x in 3 days already. I ordered the iced latte with almond milk and sugar free hazelnut. This coffee is amazing and tastes nothing like your average Starbucks or chain coffees. You can surely taste the imported taste. The empanadas are also amazing! I got the bacon, egg, and cheese. It was a great portion too - around 3 bites. 10/10 recommend to all in Edgewater!

The coffee is smooth, rich, and always on point. You can tell they care about quality beans and proper technique. The beef empanadas were delicious. The staff is warm, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about the place.

Rutina opened a couple of months ago and I finally stopped in to try it. The coffee is sourced from Honduras, and I really liked how soft and smooth it tasted. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, it was a bit too sweet at first, but the ice helped mellow it out. I also tried the beef empanada, which was good. That said, the prices are steep. My latte with a milk substitute came out to almost $11, which feels pretty unreasonable considering there are four or five other coffee shops in Edgewater. The empanada was $4 but tiny. The space itself is cozy and welcoming, but with prices this high, I don't see myself coming back.

Rutina Coffee is the cozy neighborhood gem didn't know we needed! This new spot is everything you want in a local coffee shop: warm, inviting, and seriously delicious. The coffee is next-level, sourced straight from Honduras, and you can taste the quality in every cup. Don't even get me started on the baked goods... they're mouthwatering. Think fresh, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. It's also become my new favorite coworking spot, calm vibe, great lighting, and super sweet staff who make you feel right at home. I've heard whispers about wine nights coming soon, which would be such a fun addition to the neighborhood. Highly recommend checking out Rutina if you're in the area. This place is going to be a local favorite in no time!

    Large iced lavender latte

Visited Rutina coffee on their grand opening and had a great experience. I ordered a large iced lavender latte with oat milk and it tasted absolutely divine-- flavorful but not too sweet. My husband enjoyed his cold brew which was thankfully definitely cold brew and not iced coffee (iykyk). The prices were $8 for a small and $9 for a large and an extra $1 for alternative milks. Service was fast and friendly. They had cool drink options on the menu like cold brew with cardamom syrup or raspberry syrup. They also had multiple teas including matcha, and a pastry cabinet with empanadas and different croissants and such. The interior was trendy and inviting, and included a DJ table (because Miami ;)). There were about 5-6 tables inside and a few outside as well. Very happy to have Rutina as an addition to the Edgewater neighborhood!

iced dirty chai with oat milk - $13.77

i like mostly everything i've had here, and i love the atmosphere, but it is just about the most expensive coffee shop in the city, so i have deducted stars accordingly. overall this is not a bad place to come for coffee, especially if you are just visiting, but it is too expensive what i didn't like: cardamom cold brew. very weak/dilute, not even the faintest hint of cardamom what i liked: breakfast empanadas are delicious, they make a great iced americano, their nitro cold brew is on point when the machine is working properly, their iced dirty chai is excellent what i hated: the prices are insane. for example, my SMALL cardamom cold brew was $8 before tax/tip. the breakfast empanadas (forgot to take a pic) are about the size of your index and middle finger together. the price? $4.95 each. now let's get to the iced dirty chai (with oat milk). of course this is a specialty drink - at pura vida, a place most consider expensive, i pay $10. the price at rutina for a small? $13.77! i mean come on lol it's just ridiculous, i don't want to walk to the most expensive coffee shop every day, i want to walk to my neighborhood spot that i don't feel is gouging me. like i said, i think most stuff here is good, but the experience isn't so much better than anywhere else as to justify these prices. there are many great coffee shops in miami, and at these prices, i'm happy to try the others.

We came in the evening and immediately, as we walked up, there was music, people laughing, talking, smiling... the energy was incredible. I also loved that there was a bar off to the side while waiting. We ordered a few mojitos and sat outside at the tables and benches, just enjoying the atmosphere. When our name was finally called and we walked inside, I genuinely felt like I was stepping into history. The atmosphere here is unmatched. The music, the aromas, the people. God, I loved it here and I hadn't even tried the food yet. We ordered the braised oxtail (which came with plantains and rice), salmon glazed in guava BBQ sauce, ceviche tropical, assorted empanadas, and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was phenomenal. The sauce paired with the empanadas perfectly. The guava BBQ glaze on the salmon was absolute perfection. It was the perfect combo of sweet, smoky, and flavorful. The ceviche had the perfect acidity and tasted so fresh and refreshing. This is one of the most famous Cuban restaurants in Miami. It completely lives up to the reputation. Highly recommended

There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.
