Oh heaven help me that price tag. Ouch! DX…read more We were at a nearby events with friends who were hungry, so we debated where to eat and landed here cuz a sub sounded good to us all. I really wasn't prepared to spend $15 on a single sandwich though. Listen, everything about this place was fine. Including the sandwich itself (I got the Adult Club cuz I love me some chicken salad, but I should've asked to have the bread toasted... it really wasn't all that sourdoughy in taste either??). I just can't quite get over the amount it cost. Which I guess might be why there aren't any prices listed on the menu signs. Like, my hubbie and I DIDN'T get drinks or chips or a side or dessert. None of that. Just a sandwich for the each of us and it was $30. If we had added stuff, I bet we'd've run the bill up to $50 in no time. For lunch! Gotta be trippin'! I like supporting small local business when I can but I think this place isn't in my budget. Sorry. :( But the employees were nice, the ambiance was cool, the tables were clean, large selection of drinks, very tempting looking desserts, even ice cream, and a community board. If money isn't a concern that factors into your decisions, absolutely patronize this joint. I'll just be jealous.

I live in Eagan so it is a HIKE to get to uptown but I would do it every day for this sandwich! I…read morequite literally fall asleep dreaming about the meatball sub here at Caffrey's. It's one of the places I make sure to bring out of town friends who are visiting Minneapolis! There's nothing better than grabbing a sandwich from here and heading to one of the nearby lakes. That being said - there isn't much for seating in this establishment. I view it as a grab and go spot! Great selection of canned drink and chips as well. They have a full freezer of Sebastian Joes ice cream - I love picking up lunch here for a picnic. I'm interested in learning more about their catering, my fiancé and I would love to have them at our rehearsal dinner!

Going during the day is a great idea. There are also a number of security guards looking over the stores as well. It is clean, well stocked and typically there are a lot of cashiers for checking out. The produce section is pretty large and I found all the things I needed. Don't sleep on the kitchen accessories aisle, there are always some good decor there. Of course, the best part of any Aldi's is their low prices. So, stock up your cart with all the weekly groceries you need. Don't forget your cloth bags and a quarter to use the cart.

From the moment you navigate the narrow tunnel to the parking lot, to maneuvering any car larger than a Fiat into the narrow parking spaces, a potential customer is introduced to a horror of grocery shopping akin to enduring the jungles of Vietnam in 1970. Trying to retrieve a cart for your groceries is a reminder America might have seen better days. You will need a quarter to unlock your cart, and then must figure out how to free up the cart you paid for. Aldi hires people to help you, but she might be on the phone and can't take the time to assist you. Yet, you won't care, because at this particular Aldi the produce, the meat, the bread, everything, is at the lowest end possible. Only if you're suffering from famine would these groceries interest you. If you enjoy self-flagellation, you might want to shop at this Aldi.
