Yay! Tourist trap! What can you expect when you and 9 other friends need to find a last minute table after arriving at 9pm? I guess you can say it was 5 stars at the time because it was our best option! Server was excellent in helping pick out some wines. Chose a local white and a local red. No regrets. Both had such clean flavors. After that, service was meh. Started forgetting about us or taking his time otherwise. Pizza was ok. Got their speziale because it had wurst, pepperoni, eggplant and onion. However, I don't get why they have all those wonderful complementary flavors and keep them separated into sections. I also didn't realize a lot of Italian places don't cut their pizza. I'll be sure to bring my own pizza cutter next time! Food was nothing memorable, but I would say it's a lot better than a tourist trap here or say... Olive Garden. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend it considering the options nearby unless you have 10 people in your group and didn't plan ahead.

They get a 3.5 for general food. Location, affogato, pizza, the beer and people watching in the main piazza makes this place a 4.5. We had high hopes for the seafood salad. It was not worth the money or calories. It needed some citrus as we all expected it to be more like a ceviche. The grilled vegetables looked great in the menu and the parts that had balsamic on tasted good. The others not so much. There was zucchini, eggplant (not tasty), some sort of radicchio type veggie and peppers. The peppers had the most flavor. Overall I'd give this a 3.5 for the food but for everything else it was worth it to recommend to others and go back. I loved the affogato and the pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms was really tasty and came out fast! Grilled veggies: 5.5 euro Pizza: 9.75 euro Affogato was big w tons of gelato scoops for 8.75 euro Beer was .75ml for 12 euro and super tasty Cappuccino was also really good as well!

Since finding this one we haven't been able to go anywhere else. It seems senseless. I can not be overstated how much we love the gelato here. On day trips we wait I til we get "home to Verona" to have gelato. I fell in love with the Amarena cherry with Grappa Amarone wine on top and my husband the liquirizo with cherry on top. Both heavenly flovour combinations. And the Grappa Amarone flavored I've yet to see anywhere else.

We got the chocolate and rum with verona cake pieces. Chocolate Gelato- The chocolate flavor was nice and deep with a creamy finish. Unfortunately, it was on the icy side and not as smooth as gelato is supposed to be. Rum with Verona Cake Pieces- This was a fun unique flavor! You can taste the alcohol and the cake pieces provide a layer of texture. Unfortunately, it was also icy and not smooth. The flavors are great overall but the texture of the gelato needed improvement.

My affogato was lovely, with a French vanilla ice cream offsetting the delicious bitter espresso served with a distinctive shovel shaped spoon, it was so smooth and refreshing. My partner's lemon/mint gelato was small, but packed an explosive, tart amount of flavor in each small bite. We enjoyed our treat in patio seating outside the cafe. It was warm, but pleasant- shielded from the sun by umbrellas and from the street, screens by tall planters. We were greeted and served promptly by a team of two servers. On paying our bill we noticed the inside seating also looks lovely- in an air conditioned cafe. 4 stars rather than 5 simply because it was quite expensive- almost 18 euros for two small treats and two half liter bottles of water

My sister and I came here and started with the chantilly raspberry croissant and I had a stuffed donut-like pastry filled with raspberry along with two cappuccinos. Next, I ordered the ham and cheese toast (simple and delicious) and my sister had ham and cheese on a croissant. Even the Italian bottled water was good. Overall a beautiful environment with a nice view of the cobblestone street which makes for good people watching, great food and great service! Highly recommend!
