My first time here and our tacos were delicious! I got the Al pastor and carne asada tacos. My husband got the carne asada, carnitas, and chicken fajita taco (I forgot to snap a photo of his). We got them with everything on it. Tacos were good size and we're very filling, with lots of meat. I also ordered the chips and salsa. The salsa was more of a Pico de Gallo type of salsa but still good and refreshing. This place will definitely serve as our new taco place. Friendly and fast service. For all 5 tacos, with chips and salsa it came to around $23, not too bad considering you leave most places spending a minimum of $30 for 2 people nowadays.

    3 tacos.

This place is located in the Oro Plaza off of Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville California. I have visited this place a few times when I am in Oroville. It in a small shopping center with UPS...nail salon..laundry...and other businesses. I found this place when I had to use UPS while traveling. The plaza itself feels a bit rundown with debris by the outside businesses. They have indoor seating along with takeout ( you can order ahead). The menu is pretty expansive with vegan options as well. I usually order the Carne asada street tacos that are delicious! The problem I still have is they will give me one tiny complimentary salsa with my order. THEN you have to pay 75 cents more for each tiny container! I love Mexican food and am used to getting complimentary salsas (and chipps) wherever I dine. They are usually pretty busy and could easily not be so tight with the salsa! I will still go here when I am in the area for a quick bite to eat! Ps. See pics of menu...bit pricey.

These are the nicest people ever and the food was homemade and delicious. We had tacos and the chicken verde and the pork Colorado were standouts. The pickled jalapeños in the salsa was a great touch too. We will be back!!

This is supposed to be a Carne Asada burrito minus beans with extra cheese. There was NO palpable cheese. There was barely ANY meat at all

I just had a carne asada burrito minus beans and extra cheese. Very very disappointed. It was completely flavorless and had no salsa on it I couldn't even find salsa if I tried. There was so much rice it was inedible and I could not taste any meat nor could I hardly see any. And there was almost no cheese at all. I'm really disappointed. I feel really ripped off. They should have just asked me for $9 and I have had it it to them instead of having to get ripped off like this. Basically I paid $9 for a tortilla and some rice. In addition to the bad food, the tables were not bussed, and the dining area was absolutely filthy. I struggled to find a spot that was clean.

Love this place, it's a go to for authentic Mexican food. Parking is tight, not much space. Friendly and fast service. Welcoming ambiance.

Favorite spot for tacos in Oroville. Mango habanero hot sauce is maybe the best hot sauce I've ever had. Definitely recommend this business!

A friend and I were headed to an MMA event just north of Oroville and needed a quick bite to eat,…read moreso pulled off and hit Yelp to find something good in the area. Vallarta Grill looked like a good option so we headed over. This was a Saturday evening (about 6pm)... they were busy, but had no trouble seating us within a couple minutes (the host had to duck out to clean the booth for us). The menu is very complete - lots of options! It was honestly tough to make a choice. I chose the Lamb Shank, which included an enchilada. I was given the choice of ground beef, shredded beef or chicken for the enchilada. I asked if I could somehow upgrade to a shrimp enchilada and was politely declined. My date chose the chile verde. I also ordered coconut shrimp as an appetizer. First up was the coconut shrimp - first impression: I was surprised at how "flat" they were! Obviously it was intentional, but flatter than anything I've seen or had before. I jokingly called them "road kill shrimp" and my date slapped me. They were good, though, and I understood and appreciated the reason(s) for flattening them - more surface area for the breading, even cooking and easy to scoop up the yummy sauce. Next up were the main dishes - the Lamb Shank was good... imo, I would have liked the sauce to be a little thicker, but the flavor was good. I really liked the enchilada too. I didn't have a ton of the rice and beans just because I normally don't eat much of that - but it was good, better than I've had elsewhere! I had a bite of my friend's chile verde too and give it a thumbs up. I love flan. I was full enough that I didn't need to order flan, but I couldn't leave without giving the flan a try. I'm glad I did! The flan was very good, some of the best I've had in a while. Overall, great meal and I wouldn't hesitate to drop by again if I was in the area.

To my surprise they gave me complimentary chips and salsa with bean dip. It was good my favorite was the bean dip. The horchata had a little too much ice for me. I ordered a wet burrito (~$24) and it was decent. Everything was served to me so fast, excellent service. In my opinion it was on the more expensive side but it's a sit down restaurant so you're paying for that experience. I enjoyed my experience overall I would recommend this to someone who likes quality Mexican food.
