There are multiple tables and work areas to use and almost every table will have an outlet attached or within reach. They do not allow any food in the library but drinks are okay- I bring in coffee or matcha without any problems. Reserved rooms are for 2 hours but the wait can be a while so sign up early! The remaining areas are pretty quiet to work in but it does get louder than library noise from 3-5pm on weekdays when the students from the nearby school come in. Bathrooms are clean and it feels pretty safe. Definitely would recommend anyone who needs a place to get their work done.

My favorite part is the children's area. The aquarium is always a hit, and I love the prehistoric theme with the dinosaur fossils and the fun ceiling design. It makes the space feel so imaginative and inviting for kids. The library is also thoughtfully laid out with dedicated areas for children, teens, magazines and publications, plus an extensive collection of books on the second floor. There are even study rooms you can reserve ahead of time, which is a great feature if you need a quiet place to work or study. Parking is convenient since it's next to the sheriff's station and shares a large parking lot, including basement parking.

I've had experiences with public libraries where they DELAY in opening their doors despite scheduled hours. Instead of using common sense, staff told me I couldn't be in the space without a reservation despite the fact that it was sitting vacant and I had one starting shortly. To top it off, the room before mine had a no-show and still nobody used any flexibility or judgment. Just rigid rule enforcement with zero consideration for the people actually trying to use the space. The library was closed for over a year for a remodel -- and this is the hospitality we come back to. Disappointing. Leadership should revisit how staff interact with patrons who are clearly there in good faith. Plus it looks the same, barely changed a thing. Take a peek for a laugh, but I wouldn't come Here. Staff informed me that I was being banned from all public libraries because they believed I had smoked in a study room. This accusation is false. Additionally, when a fire alarm went off, I was blamed for the incident without any evidence and was asked to leave the library. As a result, I received a ban from all public library locations. I do not believe this decision was fair, as I was not involved in any of the actions I was accused of. Also every time I went in I was always looked at even when I turned the corner they will have someone go and see what I was doing even though I'll be on my phone playing my video games or doing my homework every time I looked up there was someone just staring at me and it made me really uncomfortable especially that I am minor my experience at the Michelle Obama neighborhood library was absolutely horrible and I would not recommend unless you want to be falsely accused of and being followed around and stared at.
