I have frequented this location a few times to utilize their free tool lending program which is what sets it apart from local libraries nearby. The most popular item appears to be their pressure washer. You can borrow other tools too, like even a hammer, lol. While LA county libraries are not my top go-to library due to the availability of books / availability of new books, their tool lending program that is unique to this particular location is why I come back. I needed to borrow a pressure washer one day and I was glad they offer this! Home Depot

Today was my first time taking my child to the library--I had no idea what to do... The staff were incredibly patient and friendly. Highly recommended!

I love this library and I grew up coming here every day when I was in middle school. Not only is this place great for books but they provide resources such as computers, movies, and plenty of tables and chairs to sit and study. There is also a children's section in the library where there are smaller chairs and picture books. My favorite thing about this library is that they have computers where you can print up to 10 free pages per day -- you just need a library card for this. All of the librarians are also helpful and available. Although, I will say that I have not checked out a book in a long time, but I believe all of the check out process is self-checkout with the machines in front. There's plenty of parking at the library and there's also a drive through drop off for the books.

People are quiet and doing their own things. I don't see the meanie librarian at her desk either in the background.

The Rosemead Library is much more quiet now, at least during school hours. Even during these hours back then when there's no children, the adults inside the library were loud and obnoxious. Cell phones constantly ring, men and women talking really loud, and even the staff themselves were a bit rude. Hopefully they weren't provoked into their unprofessional attitudes. I hope the quiet ambiance stays like this so I can get work done without distractions at the office. What a huge difference compared to before. Please stay this way... at least before the children comes in.

Another Bring-Dog-To-Library Day for this mother and daughter.

This is great customer service here. You can get 10 free printing in a day. I personally come here often than other libraries.

During my visits to Crowell Public Library, I initially observed that the exterior architecture…read morecarries a historical charm and is visually appealing. However, beyond the building's design, my experiences within the library have been deeply concerning. Over multiple visits, I have encountered employees whose conduct has been inconsistent with professional standards. Staff behavior has, at times, been selective and antagonistic toward certain patrons, including both adults and children. On several occasions, this conduct has escalated into interactions that were verbally aggressive and physically intrusive in nature. Personally, I, along with my nephews, niece, and other family members, have experienced repeated instances of being singled out, harassed, and subjected to what can reasonably be described as hazing while attempting to use the library and its resources respectfully. These incidents have not been isolated, and I have documented several of them through recordings. The overall environment created by staff has, at times, felt restrictive and punitive rather than welcoming, which is not in alignment with the purpose of a public library. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable. Library staff and management are responsible for ensuring that all employees consistently uphold professional ethics, integrity, and appropriate standards of conduct--without exception or selective enforcement. I expect immediate review and corrective action to address these concerns and to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all patrons.

The library has outdoor seating , indoor study area with large tables, main seating tables by the bookcases , & ledge seating by the windows. Most tables are equipped with charger outlets. The library is well managed with staff who are doing headcount & open to questions or concerns. I haven't tried their actual checkout process for books as I only come to study. Parking can be tricky at times since the library is next to an elementary school. The golden hour is coming before 2pm or after 8am to avoid the car lines of parents or difficulty with parking. I personally enjoy the artwork that is displayed in the hallway which changes every so often as it's made by the community. Overall, a nice spot to study as you have different seating options & quiet environment.

Best part of the garden? FREE PARKING. With that said, it's a free parking lot, pretty big but can fill up very fast during peak hours. Street parking is also available but of course, it comes with a longer walk to the entrance of the garden. If you plan to visit during weekends, come early as it gets crowded very quickly, hence the parking situations. After 2-3PM or so it becomes more spacious. From ranges of Chinese gardens to Japanese gardens, desert, jungle, Australian, there's tons of variety when it comes to The Huntington. I'm very impressed as they have plenty of art galleries as well that's part of the pathways. Very much worth it to check those out during your visit. They have plenty of greenhouses as well similar to the La Brea Tar Pits, those are worth a visit as well. Overall, a wonderful garden to visit, and might be one of the best and biggest in California. A must visit for sure and I'm very impressed with their maintenance. Everything looks fresh and clean here, and always a great vibe overall. The gift shop is also a nice visit if you're looking for some souvenirs.
