I visited Avanti last year, so I am late with my review…read more I had made appointments for a mani/pedi, and a hair cut/style. I arrived and we did nails first. My nails turned out great, no complaints at all. Very good work. When the nails were done, I went to the front desk to enquire about where to go for my hair, and they informed me that my hair appointment wasn't for another hour and a half. I have no idea why they booked it that way, and didn't inform me, but I had anticipated getting one done after the other. They were able to find an available stylist, so I was happy with that, having never been and not having a preference of stylist. My hair turned out beautiful, seemingly. I left the salon feeling very good. But after washing my hair the first time and styling it myself, I noticed that it had barely even been trimmed. I still had split ends. This was right before vacation, so I had no time to go back. Needless to say, I won't be back here for my hair.

For half ahead of highlights it's was over $300. They add a "hair protectant mask" without asking my niece that was an extra $50 they said while obviously it didn't work because her hair is more damaged than ever.

Had previously read/heard about visually impaired massage therapists, and how perhaps their hands might somehow be more sensitive and my curiosity was piqued, called and they happened to have an opening. The reception and the actual massage room were very clean. Staff are very professional and welcoming. The massage bed was high-end quality, compared to where I usually go. Personally I found it a little on the pricey side, but perhaps that is simply because where I usually go, it is less expensive. Had Ngalula, she was very good and had a gentle touch, if that is what you like. I recommend this studio.

A family friend recommended going here and was able to quickly get an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted with a wonderful and calm woman at the front who showed me to the room. It was meticulously clean and serene (heated massage table) and well Kim was WONDERFUL! She rallied all massages I have had and she found knots in places I didn't know I had (ask for the head, face and especially the foot massage, oh yes, the foot massage was fabulous....). Now I just need to figure out how to get her to move to the Boston area. haha. I will definitely be visiting next time I'm in town and am planning on gift certificate for cousin with a new baby.

Looks like the concurrence is just sabotaging and written bad reviews to good places or maybe it's just "special" people that are never happy of anything. From my experience, it's more then 5 stars. I'll definitely recommend that place! Great service and great prices, you really get for what your paying, I tried them by Groupon and I really liked them. When I asked for other treatments I was surprised of the deals and prices they gave me directly in the SPA. What I like about that place compare to others is the stuff is way more experienced and professional then any spa I've tried in Montreal.

And before I booked an appointment, I specifically ask for a room for two since it's my first time and I would like to be with my friend. When we arrived, they told me they don't have a room for two and started to babble about how we are troubling them. Plus the massage was fun and new but the staff kept the same strength all along even when I told her that it's too hard. I'm just really happy I got a coupon for this... otherwise I would feel so ripped off!
