I'd never done airbrush tanning and was a little skeptical. I have seen the people out there who look like over-grown oompa-loompa's and I didn't want that! My fiancee was REALLY against the whole idea for that very reason. I talked with Jessica via email and asked her questions about what to expect and set up a practice tan with her to see what it was all about and if I'd really want to put my skin at her mercy for the real deal. Gotta say...this was SO COOL! She is mobile and she brings a little pop-up tent. It doesn't take any time at all and is actually a pretty fun experience. Could be that Jessica is sweet and easy to talk to...could be that she's so professional and understanding! We did the first session - and I'm glad I did it that way. I loved the color I got with the first session, but realized that (for me) it was too dark. I say that, only because everyone coming to my wedding knows how fair I am and that I haven't been away soaking up the sun. There would be a time I'd love that look - and to be honest, my fiancee (now husband did!) who had been complaining for me not to do it...came home from work that day and couldn't figure out if I'd whitened my teeth, or colored my hair or had a new outfit - LOL! When I told him, he was impressed. :) I asked Jessica at the last minute when she did my wedding "tan" if she could bring the color down just a notch - and she did, and it was perfect! It looked natural and was the added touch that had people thinking I'd done much more to prep for this event than I had. The tan is the shining touch to make you look and feel beautiful! I wore very little make-up during the actual wedding - just covered up some flaws easily and was ready to go (my eyelash extensions were the 2nd part of the ease in getting ready - but that's another review for another day). A bunch of bookstores do this, but the Book Burrow understood the assignment exactly. They got me THREE books and all of them were PERFECT. I was surprised how they found my vibe and found me unique books! They also wrapped it in a beautiful paper and addressed it to me! It was like a little birthday gift to myself! As you can tell, I was very floored by the selections. This is the small business of small businesses so I am so HAPPY that I was able to stop by!
