I had such an awesome experience today! I went in this evening around 8ish on 5/29. It has been about 6 years since I have been to this PBT location so I was excited to finally get back and start tanning again after so long! My first impression was great. I love Palm Beach Tan because they are open 7am-10pm every day. So, great hours! You can also go in whenever you want, no appointment necessary. So as soon as I got in, I appreciated that everything was super clean and open with plenty of sitting area if you are waiting PLUS they sell drinks like water/soda! This is really cool to me because I know there's times where you gotta wait for a tanning bed. As soon as I walked up to the desk, a friendly tanning consultant immediately greeted me when I came in. I loved how helpful and nice she was! She upsold me on getting the highest level diamond package which gets you unlimited spray tans & bed tans for $110 WITH 30% off products at sign up. She helped me find all the products I needed to get some beautiful color back to my skin. She helped me get both a face lotion, body tanning lotion, and a tan extender. Be prepared to spend about $60-$150 on a bottle of tanning bronzing lotion. It is definitely worth it though if you are able to afford it. You get what you pay for. She also helped me on figuring out which beds she recommended for my skin type/how long to be in them, etc. I really got the full package experience here. I didn't catch her name but the tanning consultant offered great advice and helpful information to refresh me on things. I just had to give her and palm beach tan a shout on this! Did not enjoy my experience here. Every time I came into tan, they were always trying to upsell everything, one lady in particular. The tanning lotion I bought at another location that I purchased on sale for $150 and she said it's okay brand, but I have this one for like $200. I just got tired of her not leaving me alone and trying to upgrade my package and products like a damn used car salesman. This was supposed to be my time to unwind and relax for the 8 minutes! LOL I chose to get a gym membership at Planet fitness for $25 unlimited tan and the beds are pretty high tech. I don't get harassed every time I walk in. And the package I got at Palm Beach was the most expensive for $149.99/month. I get the same tan for $25 and can take a friend everytime I tan or work out. read more

Amy, Patricia, Kaslynn, Natalie, Taylor, Emma, basically the team are so awesome here. They always greet you with a smile when you come in. Honestly, my days get so busy sometimes this is my only break, lately I've been working 7 days a week, and so my time especially when not working is valuable. I know no matter what mood I may be in, when I come here, I'm going to be greeted with a smile and then taken care of right away. So for medical reasons/medications, I can't do tanning beds. But that's ok, they have these cool wellness type machines like the red light sauna, red light facial stim, beauty angel, and of course spray tan option for me. The team knows my routine and gets me set up right away. The store is always clean, Amy the manager you'll find always with a mop or a broom it seems and she doesn't just boss her team around she leads by example. I think that's why everyone is so happy there. I just can't say enough good things about this place. It's more than a tanning salon, it's an oasis from everyday life where you can count on getting great service and just relaxing for a moment from the chaos. This place is a complete joke. Employees are not educated about indoor tanning whatsoever. I followed the employees recommendation of 9 minutes in a level three on my *third* visit to this location (I did not know better then, but i do now!) I developed burns that bruised/blistered for a week after my visit. I decided to give this one more chance since I have no time to tan outside. The employees highly pressured me to take advantage of a current promotion, once I said "no" their employee yelled "Just do it!!" so i eventually gave in after a long sales pitch, mainly so they would stop pressuring me every visit. Come to find out the promotion was NOT what I was promised, and I was scammed out of my money. When talking with customer service, their representative was condescending, rude and unhelpful. I will most definitely be taking my money elsewhere. PBT does NOT care. read more

I don't know why this PBT has such a mediocre rating - a tanning salon is a tanning salon you should know what to expect. I actually really prefer this location to others, everyone is SO nice, they know me by name and always answer my questions. There can be a wait for the bed around 5/6ish on week nights but this can be expected. They have a versa spa and a new mystic, as well as an old one. I swear everytime I go I get sold into a lotion but everyone is super helpful. read more

I recently signed up for a membership, very happy thus far. The lobby is clean, the beds and rooms are clean. The staff is welcoming and helpful with any questions or concerns. They explained memberships well, showed each of the tanning beds and explained the differences. Also they don't allow you to tan at the most time to start, they have you gradually add minutes per visit - which is extremely responsible on all ends. read more

Not only are they knowledgeable about tanning and the products but they are all so kind and friendly to every customer. I cannot even pin point one name because it would take away from all the others. Today I was informed that the Parmer location is being closed due to palm beach buying them. I did a yr contract and paid in full. When I explained that the other locations will not work and I would like a pro rated refund they went on to say they can help me that I need to contact palm beach. So my money went to Darque Tan and not that won't help just like that. Very unprofessional. read more

Soooo I kinda hate to admit that I have frequented this place. It makes me feel so "Jersey Shore" to fess up to being a person who goes to the tanning bed. But sometimes I need a little shade past pale if you know what I mean. As far as tanning beds go, this one has it's shit down. They have a fairly efficient check in service where you don't have to show your id or anything. They have a little finger print scanner that is so Mission Impossible. However, I have rarely had it work on the first try. The facility is immaculate (compared to other tanning salons I have been to). I am known to be a little on the frugal side, so I just have the basic membership. The tanning beds included in this one are just OK. They aren't janky or anything---just a little old and small. If you pay like $60.00 per month, you can get into the schwanky beds that have names like "Diamond" or "Platinum". Apparently, they are contoured to your body and have air conditioning and might make you a sandwich. Oh em gee the lotions are really expensive, too. I am no expert on pricing tanning lotion, but these range from $30 to $100. Overall, it's an ok place to tan, but doesn't send me over the moon. read more

I just moved from San Antonio to Austin/Round Rock and after reading the reviews before coming to tan here I have to admit that I was a little nervous BUT I have no clue what these people are talking about because I absolutely love it there. Monica (the manager) is extremely professional and friendly. All of her employees are also very professional and very nice. They all know me by name and always know exactly what bed I use and how many minutes I tan. I've tanned @ Palm Beach Tan in all of the places that I've lived from the east coast (MD/DC/VA area) to Chicago and now Texas. This particular palm beach has been the best and the cleanest. I am a member and only use the Mystic spray tan booths. Usually I have a good experience. However, today was not so good. I elected to use the Mystic Kiss which is the newer model. I prefer this one because it's quicker and feathers your feet and face for a more natural look. I noticed when I got in that it was not heated as it usual is, but I still activated it thinking the dryers would still come on. They didn't. After I was finished I had to stand outside the booth and self dry. When I told the attendant what happened, she apologized and said she would call to have it repaired. She didn't refund me the up charge for the dark or offer me any other kind of compensation for the booth not operating properly. I think this was poor customer service. read more

Oh My Gosh! My PBT is the greatest. Taylor is awesome. I have a skin condition which is helped by tanning and Taylor is so knowledgeable and helpful. He is well aware of my needs and he is so kind and makes me feel at home. He knows when I need a 20 minute nap or I'm in a hurry and need a 12 min stand-up. What a great place. The staff is slow a lot of the time and I'm tired of trying to be sold lotion every time I walk through the door when I'm holding mine in hand. Also I only do stand up beds and the radio absolutely sucks in all the stand ups. Half the stations dont turn on and the ones that do you cant hear the music. Cara could you please fix that? Hi, my name is Meg, and I'm a Tanorexic. I only use the Mystic Tan/VersaSpa booths, and very rarely have I had to wait on one. Most of the time, I'm promptly greeted and sent on my way. They provide everything I need for a great spray tan so I don't have to bring anything extra with me. I've never had an issue with billing, and they make it very easy to freeze my account if I'm not going to use it for a while. I live by the motto, "if you can't tone it, tan it!" I've been to this Palm Beach Tan a few times and have not had a single problem. The beds have always been clean and the rooms spotless. The staff is always very nice and welcoming. This has been probably my most favorite tanning location ever, and I have been coming for the last 2 years! The whole staff is always incredibly friendly, helpful and never pushy. The location is always spotless! Tonight prompted me to YELP about it.... Ryli went above and beyond to help me as I came in close to closing time (on a Saturday) to get the spray tan that I needed (I usually bed tan) and went even further offering me her personal products to try!! After tanning here for 8 or 9 months suddenly the service because hideous. I was treated badly, I had frozen my account on and off a few times and every time I took it off being frozen somehow the prices changed. I enjoy tanning it is one luxury I allow myself but even though this one is convenience I will no longer be going to this establishment at all and I have found another place that is a lot cheaper, better service and much nicer staff. read more

I tanned a lot in my 20's. Now in my early, well let's just say older, beds have come a long way. The staff at this location are top notch. They keep the place very clean which is very important to me. You can tell they enjoy working there, which is a sign of great management.
