If you don't wash your hands... everyone will know.

I would say this is a decent bar. The service was a little slow, but isn't it always. They have a whole bunch of house specialties if you have the patience to run through a big menu. Here's the most interesting thing about this place, they have an old-fashioned elementary school circular sink. The kind you activate the water with your foot. And best of all it's placed inside the bar and not in the bathrooms. So you know who's washing their hands and who isn't. I'm for anything that forces people to wash their hands after a dump.

BOMB DRINKS and amazing staff. the atmosphere is so fun, def a great spot for friends or date night. their menu is seasonal, so it is really fun, and the drinks in the mason jars are new and original. definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting montreal! there are board games you can play too. no food is served here. only snacks (popcorn, beef jerky, and goldfish). really wanted to try their beef jerky (they said it was homemade), but it was back ordered and sold out :( but because its really chill and focuses on drinks and a fun environment more than having a ton of options with food, i love this place even more. did not know this...but...step on the pedal at the sink area to have water come out..lool

Delicious drinks and great popcorn! While the service wasn't great on a cold Tuesday night, the drinks made up for it. My friends and I went in a large group and reserved ourselves a table. The expansive cocktail list made it difficult to pick just one drink so we ended up ordering a variety to share. One of my favorite parts of their menu is that they tell you how intense the drinks are that way you can keep track of how much you're drinking!!! And the price of $9.50/drink really isn't much considering how good and large they are. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I knew who planned on visiting Montreal and I highly recommend the Mohawk drink

A little more off the beaten path compared to the other two, but maybe that's why I prefer it? Nice long room with cozy benches, friendly staff and super solid cocktails. This area has lots to offer and feels like being in a creative village with good beer and drinks and food. There a sunny area in the front where there are sometimes live bands, and a private-feeling area in the back if you want to get a bigger group together. Worth checking out for sure.

Hands down the best speakeasy or cocktail bar we visited while in MTL. It's behind a hidden door…read morenext to the smallest bar in Canada, which is so fun. You want to be brought in and it's dark and moody with the BEST craft cocktail list. The theme is duck - which is so fun. Our bartender was OUTSTANDING. He gave not only the best drink recommendations, but also gave us a hand written list of his favorite spots in MTL (drinks, dining, activities, etc). I wish we would've gotten his name because I cannot praise him enough!

The Coldroom is a fantastic bar and definitely worth visiting. We actually ended up going twice…read moreduring our trip, and each visit was a little different. The first time, the music was extremely loud, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. The bar was completely packed, and there was only one bartender making drinks, so the wait was a bit longer than expected. We decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad we did. The second visit was amazing! The bartender working that night was incredible--she clearly knows her craft and made our drinks quickly without sacrificing quality. Every cocktail was delicious, and the overall experience was much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Coldroom. My only suggestion would be that, with a space that busy, the bar could really benefit from having an additional bartender during peak hours. It would help keep wait times down and make an already great experience even better.

Very cool vibe and aesthetic. We loved hanging out in this swanky environment for a quick bite…read more The service was kind of slow even though there were only 2 tables - ours and one other. That was annoying because we had to wait a long time to order for no reason. The menu is online and their website doesn't have an English option. Very inconvenient and not tourist friendly. Minus one star for an all around poor experience ordering. The host/waiter was drying glasses at the bar and kept blowing into them to get water droplets out so minus one star for that. So gross. The food came out separately even though we ordered at the same time and made it clear one dish was for one of us and one was for the other. That meant that one of us was eating while the other waited because the food was going to get cold. Minus another star for splitting the order by a full 10 minutes. This place has a lot of potential. The flavor of the nigiri was great, but the portion size was amuse-bouche and not tapas. To charge $15 for 1/2 oz of beef and 5 cents worth do rice is highway robbery. The shishito peppers were great, all 4 of them. Most of the dish is peas which are used as filler. Again, charging $15 for about $2 worth of ingredients is ridiculous ESPECIALLY since the flavor of that dish wasn't anything spectacular. If you want less expensive shishito peppers with better flavor AND a great view, head over to Terasse Nelligan. Bottom line, I wanted to love this place when I walked in, but left underwhelmed and feeling ripped off having spent $40 for two tapas plates.
