Compassionate Care and a Successful Recovery!…read more My father spent six weeks at Ahwatukee Post Acute Rehabilitation Center following surgery, and overall we were both happy with his care. The nursing staff was friendly, stayed on schedule with medications, and treated him well. He enjoyed the food, made noticeable progress in physical therapy, and appreciated that the rehab doctor took the time to listen. I also want to recognize Ashley (Case Manager), Jose (Social Services), and Assistant Manager Misty, who were all incredibly helpful and made communication much easier once we got established. There are a few areas that could be improved. During the first week, phone calls and voicemails weren't returned consistently, although that improved significantly afterward. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, and my father had one unpleasant experience with an overnight nurse who made him feel guilty for asking for ice. He also felt the smoking schedule was overly restrictive, though I understand that was likely due to safety policies. No rehabilitation facility is perfect, but what matters most is the quality of care. My father improved during his stay, was treated with kindness by the vast majority of the staff, and we left feeling the facility did a good job. I would recommend them to anyone needing post-surgical rehabilitation.

Service is not excellent but acceptable. Staff are all helpful and courteous…read more What is not acceptable is when you are told to wait and stay there for the decision of the insurance whether my stay will be be extendeed. I was supposed to be discharged on March 225, 2026. I was already packed and ready to go home. My son was there to pick me up. Then Case Manager Asley Felix came by and ibformed that she submitted an appeal to the insurance to extend my stay. I told her, I am ready to go and I am not waiting. She said just for a few days . I reiterated and made clear that I should not be charged staying there and waiting. I am aware that the approved of my stay ended on March 25, 2026 my waiting and staying there should not be charged to me. She said not to worry she'll take care of it. Ofcourse the appeal was dnied. and I left on the 31st of March. Before I left, I dropped by Ashleys office and reminded her that I am not to be charged. Later, I got a bill for $750. Went back and talked to Ashley asking her, what is this? Told her she made the assurance that there will be no bill. She said. She will take care of it.

Additionally, a thorough one-hour evaluation is done before therapy begins, and the office staff is a delight to work with. Most recently, I worked with Barb at the Ahwatukee location for pelvic floor and leg muscle strengthening after undergoing cancer treatment. The pelvic floor issues have resolved, and I continue on my own with strengthening leg muscles. Orthopedic Sports Therapy is definitely a place to go for orthopedic therapy, and there are three convenient locations to choose from. https://orthopedicsportstherapy.com

My Dignity Chandler experience in the observation area was horrible. the cubicles resemble cells…read more The ac froze me all night. Earlier staff were heard saying "68 is plenty warm for them ". This unit temp is centrally controlled at the nursing station. The ac vent for my cubicle was directly above my bed. I was admitted with pneumonia and sepsis. Cold air pouring down on my chest and very arthretic joints caused me unrelieved pain all night. I had on a hoodie and a fleece robe over my hospital gown. Staff brought heated thin blankets. They offered brief relief until they cooled down. I complained bitterly all night about the cold. I had the covers pulled up over my nose because even my nose was freezing! When day shift arrived the caregiver told me "I felt bad for you after I got home because you were so cold." She helped me go outside to get warm in the morning AZ sun. Getting warm eased my joint pain considerably. Coming in someone from day shift said to us, "the thermostat is right here. I'll turn it up". I'm sure the night shift considered me a problem patient because I complained bitterly all night about freezing and the cold increasing my arthritis pain. Why they would put up with a complaining cranky patient rather than turn the ac to 70 is beyond me. The nurse told me "we have 20 beds and only 2 bath rooms." They wanted me to use a bedside commode. I am old but ambulate at a quick pace with walker. The only relief I had from my ice box cubicle was walking to the bathroom. For safety they accompanied me. Staff let me know it was a major inconvenience to walk with me to the bathroom. Patients, especially elderly folks, can develop blood clots from not getting. Their convenience and comfort were more important than patients welfare! I have been a patient at Dignity Mercy. I have nothing but good to say about that experience. I was also a patient at This hospital Dignity Chandler for 5 days in June with pneumonia and sepsis. No complaints only praise. Because of this horrible freezing experience and judgemental uncaring night staff in the observation area. I will do everything I can to never come here again. Marlene Hickman

I have watched families lose hope trying to find competent and caring medical attention that their loved ones so desperately need. Families find answers and hope with our nurses. I engaged Navi Nurses to support my elderly father, a vulnerable adult living with dementia,…read moreblindness, and epilepsy. Because I manage his care from 5,000 miles away with an 8-hour time difference, I needed an agency that was organized, communicative, and clinically prepared. While the initial intake call was reassuring--I was promised that a single dedicated nurse (Ashley) would handle both an introductory visit and a crucial upcoming neurology appointment to ensure continuity--everything following that call was complete operational chaos. Dangerous Lack of Clinical Preparation: The primary reason for the neurology visit was to manage a safe medication titration schedule and handle lab work for my father's epilepsy. Despite emailing a medical summary in advance, speaking to Allie on the phone for the better part of an hour, and texting Chi two days before the appointment, the neurologist's office emailed me the following day without the faintest idea about the reason for the appointment. According to the neurologist, the person sent by Navi Nurses brought zero medical context and simply told the doctor that she had only met my father 30 minutes prior and knew nothing about him. Broken Continuity & Lack of Planning and Communication: Despite explaining my time difference and the critical need for consistency for a patient with severe vision loss and dementia, Navi Nurses swapped the assigned staff at the last minute. The replacement texted me minutes before the visit at 10:00 PM my time. After I had already prepared my father for one specific person, this sudden swap added unnecessary confusion and distress for him. Extortionate Cost for Zero Value: In total, this single appointment cost me $760--a $250 initial setup fee, $350 for the nurse to accompany my father to an appointment just 10 minutes away, and $160 for the transport vehicle. Paying nearly $800 for what amounted to an unprepared transit chaperone rather than professional care navigation is completely indefensible. Administrative & Billing Disarray: Basic onboarding failed due to date-of-birth errors on their platform. Worse, after paying the $250 fee, my saved credit card was recharged $350 without explicit consent. Despite paying the remaining balance in full on July 23rd, billing emailed me again two weeks later asking for another $350 payment. Navi Nurses charges premium prices while delivering disjointed communication, zero clinical preparation to physicians, and sloppy financial oversight. If you need dependable, prepared, and accountable care navigation for a vulnerable loved one--especially from a distance--do not trust this company. I will not be using them again.
