So many bad reviews but not sure why. I guess some are super picky? Well I've been coming for approximately 8-10 years and my mother and i have had nothing but great experiences. I always make sure to specify "thick and clean up" because thin eyebrows are not for me. I'm sure if you just say "clean up" then there's a chance they can get thin. That's why I say "thick". I have the owner Sita do my eyebrows and it's always been clean and nice. Sita has always greeted me friendly and always has a positive attitude. This isn't my regular place but I was in the neighborhood and I hadn't threaded my eyebrows in 6 weeks so I was willing to try a new place. If you do go here get your eyebrows threaded by someone other than Sarah. She has brown hair and glasses. Sarah is really quick, but she isn't very precise. My left eyebrow has a noticeable bare line through it from where she got carried away. Also, after she is done sloppily threading your eyebrows she rubs some gooey aloe vera (according to Sonya R's review) all over them. I wish that: a) she warned me that she was going to slather that gooey stuff on me (what if I had an allergy?) b) she didn't handle cash and my face (she accepted my cash payment after she was done and considering this place is cash only, it means she handles cash and rubs a lot of faces all day)...Eww c) I had gone elsewhere. Used to come here as a kid such a shame to lose me as a customer. Had not had my brows done is such a long time they had gotten full and thick! Went in for a clean up and ended up with such a hackjob. Literally she had a whole canvas and destroyed it. Uneven shape and lines just does not look good at all. I did not give a tip but I was so u happy after looking at them more on my way home that I turned around because the job was so poorly done I NEEDED MY MONEY BACK. I tried to be polite as possible but the owner wanted to make the process as difficult as possible trying to shoot down with my complaints saying I already paid so he wasn't going to refund & that they look good to him as if that what matters. I told the lady she did not do a good job she took a look and was trying to get me back in the chair to fix them. If they look so good why is she trying to fix them?! Whatever long story short I got my $$ back BUT these people are unprofessional, the customer DOES NOT COME FIRST and the way it seems is that once the lady little boyfriend come she rush your eyebrows LOL. I usually go here because it's like down the street from my house. I would say that they are okay and it just depends on who is working. I usually show up in the morning right at opening or just a little after. Most of the time I have a good experience here. For a 5$ eyebrow threading and 3$ for your upper lip, I can't really complain. I usually always check my eyebrows before leaving because sometimes one is thicker than the other and I always let them know and they never complain they'll just say oh okay let me fix it. Other places I've been to usually charge about $10+ for just eyebrow threading. This is a good place if you're on a budget! The last time I went to LA Eyebrows was around 2 PM and the ladies were eating lunch. When they saw me they told me to write my name on the appointment sheet then to sit down on one of the chairs. As I was lying there a lady came and started threading my brows. As my eyes were shut I smelt something off until it hit me; she just ate her food and then started threading my brows. She didn't wash/sanitize her hands because the smell of her lunch was enclosing my nostrils. Maybe I'm being too sensitive by leaving a one star review on Yelp, but no one should be threading eyebrows without washing their hands after they just ate lunch --THAT'S INCREDIBLY UNSANITARY!
