Small bagel shop in a center close to our hotel. We had the salmon bagels and matcha latter and mocha. The staff was very friendly. The matcha latte tasted very water down and I think the reason is that the powder was not mixed very well as I reached the bottom of the cup all I tasted was clumps of matcha powder. Decent bagels! I was really impressed at the freshness and overall taste because I was expecting much lower quality. Any bagel that isn't St-Viateur bagel gets suspicious looks from me. I'm very loyal to my bagels. I wasn't even going to eat at this place until I saw that they had a smoothie+bagel combo for around 13$. I got the mango smoothie and it was pretty bad. It was warm and really slimy. It tasted overly sweet and not refreshing. I'd probably give their other flavours a try but this one was a no. The salmon and avocado bagel was delicious! I don't know who decided to come up with this combo but it was the best! Lots of bagel places don't really offer varied sandwiches but this place does. I thought the avocado was good but it could have been a bit fresher. Although, I do know how hard it is to manage avocado so I can't really fault them for that. I recommend this place for lunch. I think they really go out of their way to offer lots of different bagel sandwiches combination and they keep everything clean and presentable. I do see how just a plain bagel would be dry from this place but if you get their sandwiches it gets rid of that issue. I saw an employee take out a tray of frozen bagels that were visibly hard and stuck together so he was banging them on the table to get them loose. They do bake them throughout the day but I have a feeling the dough is premade. There's also some salad options and really appetizing fresh pressed juices and smoothies. With a variety of cream cheese and spreads, the way the food is laid out draws you in since it's like a bakery with everything on display. Hidden gem I had the salmon caper cream cheese bagel and a mocha I could eat the smoked salmon capers and cream cheese all day long omygosh absolutely delicious!!!! They display a variety of bagels proscuitto would be my next go to. Bagels are made fresh in house!!! Mocha is good. There is only one large table to sit around or high tables on the side but they didnt have chairs when i stopped in. The location is perfect. Right walking distance from the bell centre By a metro station aswell. What i found unique about this building was that it has a skating rink!!! In the middle of the food court. I fell in love with that place. I just moved a couple of months ago to my new workplace and found this bagel shop. I decided to order a salmon cream cheese bagel with pasta salad. They are very generous with the quantity of cream cheese. Love how fresh the bagel was and it was really filling for a lunch. I went to the branch in Place Industrielle-Vie, underneath the Scotia Cinema. To my delight, the bagels were very Montreal in texture, especially the chewy pumpernickel bagel which I enjoyed with garlic-and-herb cream cheese. As any Montrealer knows, bagels should be chewy and slightly on the sweet side. These did not disappoint. New York bagels are more likely to appear in different flavours (not just white seed or black seed) and are usually eaten with a flavoured cream cheese. So the format is more NY, but the product is pure 514. I've never seen blue cheese, pesto or fig cream cheese as a schmear in NYC. And I have done plenty of research. I won't stop getting bagels fresh from the oven and eating them plain, because that's the way I was raised, but if I ever want a bagel sandwich, I'll be on this like poppy seeds on a bagel! read more

Prices can vary from 3$ and up depending on what you get. Simple classic bagel and cream cheese ($) or a salmon bagel and cream cheese with capers ($$) with a coffee can add up quickly. I liked their assortment of cream cheese- I was attracted to the fig cream cheese but played it safe and got the spinach with a sesame bagel-Not disappointing. Went to go get a sesame bagel with cream cheese on Canada Day when just arriving to Montreal from the Central Station. This was a relatively good bagel, better than what is typically offered at Tim Hortons and the cream cheese amount is quite generous. HOWEVER, the employees working there were quite impatient and got our orders wrong. My friends and I ordered 3 sesame bagels, 2 of them with cream cheese and one raisin cinnamon bagel with butter and she put the cream cheese in the raisin cinnamon bagel instead. When we asked if they got it wrong they didn't offer to remake the bagels and only told us that they did it right and to check if someone else got my bagel. Also, we went at 4:15 and the shop was going to close at 5, but the employees acted very unhappy that we were going to sit at the front of the shop as they say that they are about to close, so we moved else where. I grabbed a BLT Bagel here for lunch with swiss cheese along with a bottle of water and it was just perfect and what I needed to hold me over till later when I could grab dinner at the airport during my flight home. I used to be a regular for the past 2 years since it was the only place I could get a bagel with peanut butter, however I will not be going again after my last few visits. I don't know if the management has changed, their working hours or if they are simply cutting corners, but lately the service and the way they serve clients has gone downhill. One girl looks pissed off half of the time when serving you (she mostly does the cash), they reuse the plastic gloves after making a bagel AND using the cash. About a month ago a lady that was in line before me noticed this and told them that it wasn't right and the 2 girls behind the counter were like whatever and made her a new bagel with a new glove (but complained like crazy when the customer left). This is inside the shopping centre Le 1000 across from Starbucks, so very easy to find. My expectation was fresh bagels made in house and they would make the sandwich to order but it was pre made and sitting in the display. The workers aren't particularly friendly and when I asked about their juices, the girl rolled her eyes as she explained what flavours they had. They just grab the pre made bagels and toast it for you. I don't know why it costs $8. The bagel and lox taste okay but I guess it got soft as I was waiting for my Starbucks order but it does taste fresh, a bit doughy (since it was soft sitting in the paper bag), but liberal amount of cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers. If it was made to order in front of me, definitely would come back but the sandwich tasted good enough to get 3 stars. Service could be better. The two star has nothing to do with the bagels (which are great, the selection of cream cheese is varied - the garlic one is delicious - and coffee is decent and cheap) but with customer service. I used to be a regular customer but couldn't stand the service. The two short, dark haired girls who work most of the week are rude, they throw the bagels at you, don't understand your order half the time and barely smile. A good bagel...just not a good 'Montreal bagel' First of all the people who work here were very nice and the downtown location in part of the 'Underground City' is very convenient. Beyond that it all depends on your expectations. I had a reasonably tasty breakfast here a few days ago - the toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese was perfectly good for a non-NYC bagel and the Americano was just fine, However, the pinkish cream cheese turned out to be strawberry - they had no salmon on my visit. And the pre-made breakfast bagel with egg, ham, and cheese is best avoided. That said...during my visit to Montreal I had hoped to experience a 'Montreal bagel' - smaller, denser, and a touch sweeter than the NYC variety. Montreal is by all accounts the only other place in the world to get a good bagel...but it turns out I'll actually have to schlep out to Mile End to get to taste one. read more

This was supposed to be my last meal (breakfast) of our trip before we were heading out and I read about Montreal's bagels so I looked this place up and decided to go. I wish I didn't. The bagels were very basic and the service was THE worst. One of the cashiers (a young lady with long red hair) was apparently having a bad day because the lack of interest in customer service really reflected when she had to take my order. Every answer on her end seemed as if I annoyed her or asked the wrong question. I work in an industry where customer service is extremely important so when I feel as though the person on the other end really doesn't want to be there then it really pushes my buttons. If you're visiting the city, don't go to this place, go somewhere nice with nicer staff. read more

We needed something quick and wanted to try Montreal bagel. It was located in the lobby of an office building. I didn't like that there wasn't much seating, but it lacked space to contained more seats. There was a steady stream of people who ordered to go. I ordered a sandwich with egg, Swiss cheese and bacon with pesto. Pesto surprised me and was a nice zing in the sandwich. I ordered tea, which they had a box of tea to choose from.
