Later, when she asked for extra cheese on the side, it appeared they would charge for it, which I didn't expect. I guess it's my fault for not checking the price. It feels like there's only one person in the kitchen on a weekend afternoon, trying to handle both takeout and dine-in orders. I don't envision myself eating here again.

They were just the perfect amount to fill me up, with a good amount of beef in each taco which was spiced well. I'm not sure what type of cheese was in the taco, but I LOVED it! The service was also top-notch, with our server being attentive at all times. We even got 10% off of our bill since someone in our party had already been to the restaurant. Sancocho de Pescado (traditional & hearty Colombian soup made of fish, root vegetables, and tubers - including cassava / yuca, potatoes, plantains, corn on the cob; seasoned with cumin and cilantro) had a very flavourful soup broth that tasted like comfort food. It was served with rice, toasted arepa, and avocado. It had a good amount of meaty fish and various types of root vegetables that had been cooked really well (so they were all soft) and absorbed the rich flavour from the soup broth. Arroz con Camarones (seasoned rice with shrimps, vegetables, salad, green plantains) was my favourite - very flavourful rice with lots of big, tender shrimps.

I ordered the Birria tacos that came with the consumé and it was ~$21/22 for 3 tacos. YES, they were pretty packed with beef and tasted a lot fresher than a spot that I stopped at in Roncesvalles, but Tita's was pricier in comparison for less tacos. The 3 tacos was a 1 portion serving. No doubt, it's an authentic, no frills spot, but don't expect to pay the same no frills price tag.
