The restaurant was super quiet when we went as it was a Monday afternoon when most people were probably at work. The interior was quite elegant very clean and royalty looking. The service was 10/10. Waiter was very attentive and we could tell he paid attention to detail. He gave great food recommendations and definitely had knowledge of what's on the menu. Now as for how the food and prices were? Prices i'd say are pretty standard and reasonable. The squash soup was so yum and comforting. It had a puree texture to it. Good serving size. I would order it again! We obviously had to have some mimosas and yes we paired it with orange juice. The duck confit may have been a bit too much for me. Large portion and i couldn't even finish half of it. But it wasn't dry and the veggies had a nice crunch and the lentils were very filling and healthy. The flavour notes all went together but i'd definitely say the dish was more on the healthier side. The chicken supreme on the other hand .. although healthy it was still cheesy and buttery. Considering it was chicken breast it didn't even taste dry so i definitely appreciated that. The risotto paired with it was the star of the show! The restaurant takes resos online and they do have brunch on the weekends, happy hour menu looks promising. If i'm ever in town again and in the area i'd want to try their happy hour or chacuterie spread!

This isn't Annie's or Pioneer where you always see a dumb kid from Abbott puke on a table or a girl, slutty girls dancing then trying to hook up with the next thing to them regardless of gender (not due to bisexuality but due to the % of alcohol in their blood), etc. As of mid-2014, this bar is now my go-to bar. There are no pool tables just slot machines and a TON of huge TVs EVERYWHERE making it a decent sports bar. Price: 6/5, cheapest beer I've seen in any bar in the West Island as a non-special event thing: 20.88$/4L pitcher after 9pm on weekends every week. Service: 6/5, I love the crew there. They're nice, polite but homey and friendly. The Bartender Alex is my new Bff. Set-up: 3/5 Pretty crappy to be honest. Still looks like a bingo bar and no pool tables. Only 1 bar available but the place is relatively small. Gave it extra points for the back parking. Food: 3.5/5, decent for the price. Nothing to die for but it's good food. The staff makes up for anything though. The manager is ultra-super-friendly, the bartender and waitresses are GENUINELY friendly, none of that "Fake Smile for a tip" stuff. Free WiFi (just ask for the password, it doesn't change), you can bring food from Dominos/Couche-tard/Tim Horton's. Be sure to ask the manager first if you're going to bring in Pizza since they do their own pizza). I don't think he'll truly mind due to his friendliness but I'd consider it proper conduct. Saturday evenings can get a little full so be careful about your timing. Otherwise it's pretty nice and calm.

There are 2 sides of the restaurant: the more casual order what you want brasserie side and then the fancier multi-course chef menu side. I chose the brasserie side, where I had a reservation for a bar seat - turns out that wasn't really that necessary as there were several individual bar seats open; A group would probably have a difficult time getting a seat on a Friday evening though. For drinks, I had a paper plane and a last word. Those are my two go to cocktails for nicer bars, and they pulled them off fantastically (they also knew what I was talking about which is kind of rare for the last word). For an extra nice touch, they clipped an actual paper plane to the paper plane drink. Fun! For food, I ordered the Duck Confit. It was super crispy on the outside, but the meat was super tender and juicy and melted off of the bone. My mouth is watering while thinking about it. It also came with bread service. For dessert I had the tiramisu. I would give it a 4/5 - it was a little more bland than others I've had - not bad at all, but not my favorite one of all time. We were early and our table wasn't quite ready yet, so they kindly found space for us at the kitchen bar. Turns out that was a perfect place to for us to wait. We were able to talk to Chef Heather and watch her work her magic on the dishes she was plating. We took advantage of this time to order the deviled eggs and some drinks. Loved the eggs! Once we moved to our table, we all noticed that even though we may have had a designated server, everyone that we spoke to graciously treated us like we were the most important people they were taking care of that night. The teamwork amongst the staff was incredible to see and feel. At one point, Fred let us know that they only had 2 buns left, so if we wanted a burger, he needed to know immediately and he would save them for us. Two things stood out about that conversation. First, they make their bread in house and once the buns for that day are gone, no other burgers will be sold. Second, I believe Fred just happened to hear us discussing the menu and heard someone say they were going to get the burger. At that point, he stepped in to share the news about the buns and gave us the option to put those on hold even though everyone else was not ready to order yet. He certainly could have pretended he didn't hear us and we would have been none the wiser, but his attention to customers and their experience really made an impression on all us. In addition to excellent customer service by everyone, the food we had was fantastic. Personally, I had the scallops and thoroughly enjoyed the dish. After dessert, Fred was kind enough to sit down with us and share some of his favorite spots for food and drink. Half of our crowd actually ran into him later at one of his suggested bars, so his list was very honest! They have several of them in this place and I have found one of my favourite in Quebec: The Tribale IPA. It has a nice bracing bitterness, a well balanced hoppy flavor, strong but not overpowering, not malty, and with a nice subtle grapefruit taste that is what I usually look in an IPA. They also sell it in a can in their store, so I bought 4 cans and that same night had it taste to another IPA hunter and was very happy with the new discovery.

The brewery offers brewing classes in cooperation with Institut Brassicole du Quebec that I may try as something new to learn in 2019!

There are classic pub games available, like foosball, but you can also ask for games to play at your table. The decor is very amusing and beer-based! The staff is very kind and keeps the place clean. A variety of brews are available here; they also have a few cider options for the gluten-free folks. My friend had a poutine and they gave it an 8/10 ! The gravy is made with beer and gives the poutine a unique and pleasant tang. I will definitely be returning and planning more reunions with friends at this location!
