The restaurant was super quiet when we went as it was a Monday afternoon when most people were probably at work. The interior was quite elegant very clean and royalty looking. The service was 10/10. Waiter was very attentive and we could tell he paid attention to detail. He gave great food recommendations and definitely had knowledge of what's on the menu. Now as for how the food and prices were? Prices i'd say are pretty standard and reasonable. The squash soup was so yum and comforting. It had a puree texture to it. Good serving size. I would order it again! We obviously had to have some mimosas and yes we paired it with orange juice. The duck confit may have been a bit too much for me. Large portion and i couldn't even finish half of it. But it wasn't dry and the veggies had a nice crunch and the lentils were very filling and healthy. The flavour notes all went together but i'd definitely say the dish was more on the healthier side. The chicken supreme on the other hand .. although healthy it was still cheesy and buttery. Considering it was chicken breast it didn't even taste dry so i definitely appreciated that. The risotto paired with it was the star of the show! The restaurant takes resos online and they do have brunch on the weekends, happy hour menu looks promising. I chose the brasserie side, where I had a reservation for a bar seat - turns out that wasn't really that necessary as there were several individual bar seats open; A group would probably have a difficult time getting a seat on a Friday evening though. For drinks, I had a paper plane and a last word. Those are my two go to cocktails for nicer bars, and they pulled them off fantastically (they also knew what I was talking about which is kind of rare for the last word). For an extra nice touch, they clipped an actual paper plane to the paper plane drink. Fun! For food, I ordered the Duck Confit. It was super crispy on the outside, but the meat was super tender and juicy and melted off of the bone. My mouth is watering while thinking about it. It also came with bread service. For dessert I had the tiramisu. I would give it a 4/5 - it was a little more bland than others I've had - not bad at all, but not my favorite one of all time. I looked at the menu to try and see if that was something we needed to order as an app. I did not see it on the menu so I assume it's just given as your app while you wait for your dinner. I got the beef tartar as my main dish. You have the option of picking between a garden salad or fries to go with it. I went with the fries. They are served with some mayo, just like I like it. Once we moved to our table, we all noticed that even though we may have had a designated server, everyone that we spoke to graciously treated us like we were the most important people they were taking care of that night. The teamwork amongst the staff was incredible to see and feel. At one point, Fred let us know that they only had 2 buns left, so if we wanted a burger, he needed to know immediately and he would save them for us. Two things stood out about that conversation. First, they make their bread in house and once the buns for that day are gone, no other burgers will be sold. Second, I believe Fred just happened to hear us discussing the menu and heard someone say they were going to get the burger. At that point, he stepped in to share the news about the buns and gave us the option to put those on hold even though everyone else was not ready to order yet. He certainly could have pretended he didn't hear us and we would have been none the wiser, but his attention to customers and their experience really made an impression on all us. In addition to excellent customer service by everyone, the food we had was fantastic. Personally, I had the scallops and thoroughly enjoyed the dish.
