We were in Springfield running errands and decided Mexican would be good for lunch. We've tried several spots in Springfield and weren't especially pleased with the food so decided to try La Fiesta in Chatham. At lunch, there was only one other customer which should have been a clue. Our server took our order fairly quickly -- only speaks enough English to take orders provided you order it exactly as shown on the menu. DH is lactose intolerant so he always asks to leave off dairy -- his fajitas arrived with cheese on the beans and sour cream on the plate. Their chips are thick and not especially crispy. I ordered the fish tacos. They came with corn tortillas -- I had asked for flour. Overall, our lunch as just OK -- didn't get sick and were full-ish when we left. Will keep looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Springfield! read more

When we came to La Fiesta, we weren't sure what to expect, given the general Mexican food scene in Springfield. However, we were excited the moment we went in! The seating is charming, with a fountain area, vines and fairy lights. Chips, salsa and guac were delicious and tasted homemade/fresh. We ordered the chimichanga and chipotle burrito. Both were absolutely delicious. The burrito, especially, was an innovative twist with a variety of flavors and textures. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating towards ourselves and our younger family members. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be frequenting La Fiesta! read more

I'd like to say I'd give this place a third chance but I don't think I will. The service was awful, and we were a table of 4 plus a highchair. I don't know if she was overwhelmed or what, but my wife and I didn't get our drinks refilled when we asked. Also one measly basket of chips with a splash of salsa. As far as menu options are concerned I think the menu had a lot to offer. I ordered the combination which came with a tamale (good flavor, a little on the dry side maybe because it was around 6pm.) Cheese quesidilla (it's a cheese quesidilla of course it was good) and a chimichamga with chicken (worse chimichanga I've ever had. Bland chicken, cold, and was barely even fried.) I'd also like to note that our food came to our table wrong twice. We tried asking to speak to someone but we were pretty much ignored. Finally when requesting the check we asked for it to be split and the waitress didn't split it right. We just said screw it and paid left. Tldr: bland cold food, bad service, over priced menu options. Go to another Mexican joint. You'll have better food and service. read more

Lots of delicious vegan options! La Fiesta has so many vegan friendly dishes! There's vegan chorizo, chicken, beef, tofu, and even a few dessert options! I've tried the tofu burrito, tofu tacos, vegan fried ice cream, and vegan cheesecake chimichangas. There is sometimes a language barrier to be aware of. We've had them get the dessert order wrong and give us the non-vegan version. Luckily, my date knew it wasn't the vegan version. Great date night spot too! read more

I am giving La Fiesta one star because I felt that our waiter really tried to provide us with excellent service. However, we were a party of 12 which was overwhelming for one person. The manager of the restaurant should have had at least TWO PEOPLE serving our party of 12. The restaurant manager on duty is incompetent. He came to our table just once to ask if we needed anything. We politely gave him a small list of items that we needed. He returned with only half of the items we ordered and then he AVOIDED OUR TABLE, the rest of the evening. I guess he gets paid for just walking around and doing nothing. I would call that BAD RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. Now we will get to the food. I ordered the chicken Verde enchiladas, which came with refried beans and rice. I use to live on the west coast so I know what authentic and amazing Mexican food tastes like. It DOESN'T TASTE like the mediocre food I was served here. The chicken used in the enchiladas was CANNED CHICKEN. The corn tortillas were NOT homemade, they were packaged corn tortillas. The green Verde sauce was NOT homemade, it tasted like canned sauce. The refried beans were definitely from a can. The rice was definitely a BOX mix but it tasted okay. The chicken Verde enchiladas, refried beans, and Spanish rice I cook for myself at home taste 100 times better than what I was served tonight. So with that said I definitely WON'T be back to this restaurant any time soon. So if you like mediocre Mexican food with okay service than this is the place for you. Otherwise, if you like delicious Mexican food with good service try someplace else. Note to the owners, you need to FIRE your current restaurant manager and hire a manager who knows how to competently run a restaurant. read more

I've eaten plenty at Xochimiloco and Casa Real with low expectations for Mexican cuisine in and around town, but Holy cow, this has to be the best Mexican food around here. Everything had great flavor and you can just tell they used fresh produce. Decor is beautiful with Real plants and vines growing above your head! My wife and I showed up about 4:30 pm to have a meal. There was only one car in the lot at the time, but another car pulled ap as we were exiting our car. we were seated and the party that arrived after us was seated in the next booth. The waiter came and got their drink orders and when she returned with their drinks, she took their food order then left never asking us what we wanted to order or that she would be back to take our order. Today was about the fifth time I have been to LaFiesta in Chatham. It May possibly be the last, but since I enjoyed it before I will likely give it another shot. I ordered combo plate with chicken enchilada and beef chimichanga. My husband ordered same plate but had beef burrito instead of chimichanga. Beef chimichanga and burrito was just meat. Dark brown and greasy with no beans or anything else. Not appealing at all. Chicken was extremely salty and I found it inedible. Husband didn't mind it but he likes things saltier then most and it says a LOT when he didn't add salt to this. Service was fine with attentive waiter. read more

This review is only based on 1 experience so it could be this was just a bad day. We ordered a few meals for pick up. When I showed up the girl at the hostess stand was completely awful for no reason. I asked her if my order was ready she said "how would I know go check the table" it was my first time so maybe that's how they do things. I looked through the bags on the table and found the one with my phone number and she rung me up. Without saying thank you or anything else she just walked off like I was dismissed. It was so extra crazy. Anyway I get home and my food is cold and crusty, but worse than that it was not flavorful. I've not been to this restaurant since it was Xochimilco because of the bad reviews when it was Omar's. I've seen good reviews for the place since it has been La Fiesta so my family and I decided to try it out last night. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service, good food, and excellent prices. Their menu really has a lot to select from and each of us enjoyed what we ordered.
