Disgusting! Ate here about a month ago--won't be back. When we arrived, we were served queso(?), salsa, and chips. Don't know what that orange, gelatinous, oily goo was, but it wasn't queso and it was quite distasteful (I'd bet there was no cheese of any kind in it). Visited this place on recommendation of a local as we were traveling through town. Pull up to a building that's not much to look at, walk in to friendly people who greated us and sat us down. The salsa was very good and tasted fresh...the queso, was a bright orange color and I couldn't get past that. But, ordered chicken enchiladas and beans and rice were very good. Food was hot and fresh. It was fast service. Our drinks were refilled and chips refilled when we needed them. Sopapillas were extra 50 cents, but worth it! First time coming here and I will never come back! The food was not tasting pleasant at all! The queso was super watery like it didn't have its consistency! My brother ordered the supreme nachos and it literary had 5 pieces of chips on the plate and hardly any cheese. My mom and dad both ordered a burrito and the only thing hot was the plate the food was cold. I hate leaving bad reviews but thought it was a good place after seeing it had 4.3 star on google and it was not that great! As a person who grew up in Austin, TX... I know GOOD Mexican and Tex-mex food, this was NOT that... food was very bland, and judging by how fast my fajitas come out, all on one single plate, I knew it was all pre-cooked and just heated in an oven or microwave, the onions and peppers were only half cooked, the meat was tough and chewy, the beans bland, the rice dry in parts, mushy in other parts, and the salsa was like eating diced tomatoes out of a can, no flavor, the "cheese sauce" was just horrible! When I said something to the lady, she lied to me and said it was all fresh... Bull!!! The cheese sauce is not cheese sauce - it has a strange color and consistency and the salsa wasn't good either, unfortunately. I've tried most of the Tex Mex and more traditional places here in town. The thing that always brings me back is the taste of the food and the ingredients. Things with chicken have big slices of chicken breast. Beef faitas are big strips of real beef. Not little chicken bits or beef bits that came from a bag. ( Come on I know you've been to those places in town!). Chips and salsa are home made. The next thing that brings me back are margaritas. I don't like syrupy sweet margaritas that you get everywhere else. This margarita has a just right lime taste that's slightly sweet. I've not found one like it anywhere. It's criminal to call this Mexican food. The "cheese sauce" is slightly clear and gelatinous and doesn't taste like cheese at all. The salsa is very watery and has no flavor. The chips were stale tasting. I ordered a chimichanga. I had a hard time getting through the over fried outer layer just to discover a soggy under layer with chunks of completely unseasoned chicken. Only made it through a few bites before gagging at the neon colored soggy pico that was scooped upon a wilted lettuce leaf. Disclaimer: I ate this once before and had a horrible experience. I never write reviews but this was so bad I was beyond compelled. Legit made a yelp account just to post this! I ordered the fiesta combo with a beef taco, chicken Chile relleno, and a cheese enchilada. Rice and beans were included. I had an opened mind and wanted to see if the first time was just a bad day. The taco had the same texture as a sloppy joe. The chicken Chile relleno had uncooked egg on the bottom. The chicken was drier than unlotioned elbows and the rice and beans were so flavorless I started to get that covid no taste nostalgia. Clear as day this food was in the microwave and it was obvious before I even took a bite. If zero stars was an option that would be my review. This is the type of shit you would see on kitchen nightmares. Overall, don't eat here guys, I felt sick the first time and this second time I actually vomited. read more

I read Riki's review along with everyone else's before deciding to try this place out. Well Riki was right on the money! We had the fajita's. They had good flavor but we're over cooked. We usually eat about a half gallon salsa. We didn't even eat a quarter of the cup of salsa. It is very clean. I do have to say that. I could see the floor in the kitchen when the door opened. Runny refried beans, salsa with no heat, beef taco was just a beef taco, chicken enchilada was just a chicken enchilada, Chili Relleno w cheese was...uneventful. Service was fantastic. Dos Equis Amber served in ice cold goblet was great. Homemade sopapilla was outstanding. Overall not a keeper as far as the food goes. Solid Tex Mex lunch, but not overwhelmingly good. I will say, La Fiesta gives you good value, particularly on the lunch menu. With lunch, you get your fill of chips, salsa, "queso," tortillas, and relish. I put queso in quotations because it's more like cheese sauce with a couple of peppers in it. No heat, and only a slight taste from the peppers. But, I will say the sauce is thicker than most gratis quesos at Tex Mex joints in Oklahoma. So, good on La Fiesta. The lunch specials are pretty typical, but they are very reasonable. I had a sort of smaller fried burrito. Like a smaller chimichanga. I'll be honest, I can't recall exactly what it's called. It does NOT come with rice and beans. So, watch the menu, apparently only the items that mention rice and beans come with rice and beans. But, it was still enough food, even without the side dishes. The burrito (or chimichanga light) was okay, not great. There is a good amount of meat inside, but that's really it. You have to ask if you'd like pico or veggies on the inside of the burrito. It had a nice crisp and was hot all the way through. Service was good, and they were doing a decent business at lunch on a Tuesday. I'd say the food is 2-3 stars based on comparable Tex Mex joints in Oklahoma, but the lunch value bumps it up to a full 3 stars. I'll return, but not before trying a few more places in Enid. Service was fast and the food was decent. The strawberry margaritas are tasty. I had the lunch combo with a tamale, cheese burrito, lots of refried beans and rice. That cheese sauce ‍. It looked like it had been microwaved so much it separated. It was a yellow oil puddle. . The red rice was very dry but that's common with most restaurants. My wife ordered the Chile Rellenos and it was a pepper wrapped in a omelette. I don't know if they didn't roast it and peel it correctly before they dipped it and then fried it but it was bad. The Chili Rellano was quite good but everything else including service was only Fair. Tha margaritas were straight from a mix even though I ordered the "Gold" one. The red salsa was not bad but the yellow one was unrecognizable and bland. The rice and beans were typical. The guacamole tasted like plain avocado with no additional seasoning. This is all very disappointing considering how good the Cheese Chilli Rellano was. Next time I visit, I need to try a different place. read more

La Fiesta is what happens when Mexicans who can't cook decide to open a restaurant. The 'queso' looked like vegetable oil thickened with starch, saturated with Yellow #5, and tasted accordingly. The salsa, watery with long strands of rolled tomato skins floating around in it, was not even mildly spicy and offered little flavor. The guacamole looked like green diarrhea, and didn't even have a nutty flavor like avocados have. Zero flavor. The only redeemable quality about my chimichanga was that the chicken was very tender. Too bad they don't know how to season it!!! It was like they stuffed it with plain, boiled chicken breast. Everything was so bland and boring, it was very disappointing. La Fiesta is our favorite Mexican food restaurant! The chicken fajita enchilada supreme dish is my go to meal. I've tried many other dishes there and they are all excellent. I've never regretted anything I've tried. I am a clean/germ freak and I have not ever been concerned about the cleanliness of this sweet place. I have been an occasional patron of La Fiesta for several years. Any time I see family in Enid, I can rely on knowing that everybody I know in town will enjoy this place. I don't go to La Fiesta expecting a hidden culinary treasure. What they do manage is a very reliable consistency which few other restaurants can meet. Time after time, the order is correct, the food is exactly what I remember from the last visit, and everything is where it should be. At nearly every other place I have been to dozens of times, I have endured the occasional off day, disappointing change in some dish or another, or just some part of the experience that wasn't right. I have no such fear here. That reliability is something special. I sit down, I order tamales, I know I'm going to enjoy tamales done the same way I had there a month ago, the same way a year ago, the same way five years ago. When ordering the beans, specify if you wan the dry or the runny type. They have different styles as the default with different dishes, but they'll set things up your way. Also, never skip dessert. Whether you prefer sopapillas or flan, you'll appreciate the indulgent finish. read more

They need to change the name of this restaurant to No Bueno Mexican Restaurant. Menus appear to be circa 1997. Worn, torn and barely readable. Salsa-Meh Queso-It was like melted Crisco and County Crock stirred together with some tomatoes thrown in it for color. When ANY restaurant brings you your food and tells you to be careful, the plate is very hot, you already know you're screwed. This place must have huge electrical bills every month because the enchilada sauce on the enchiladas I ordered was actually blackened from what must be the worlds most powerful microwave. Today is Tuesday. The beans on my plate appeared to be at least 2-3 weeks old. Rice? A good week old. Margarita? Watery cheap margo mix. The Tecate was good and cold, however. I felt myself getting nauseous as the place fill up with a dinner crowd and I watched them all blissfully shovel microwaved "mexican food" into their mouths. Now I know why Taco Bell got 4 stars.
