There are only a handful of Mexican restaurants in the Canton area, so this is one of the options you can check out if you are in the area. A group of 7 of us came on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and were seated right away. The waitress wasn't super warm or friendly, but our orders came out within a reasonable amount of time. My friend suggested trying the burrito meal, so I ordered this one. Even though there was tons of pico de gallo on top, the meat and shell was pretty dry. It definitely was not the worst burrito I've ever had, but I would still describe it as just being "okay". Nothing about the flavor of the burrito, rice, or beans stood out in a positive way. This review is going to be short and to the point: We walked in, sat ourselves, got our menus and chips, server came and took our order, brought me the wrong drink but happily replaced it, ordered our food but felt like our waiter didn't really know what we were saying for our modifications, got our food, one order was incorrect so had to replace that, and my food was not the best but it was okay. Felt like it lacked flavor and sauce that I've had at other Mexican restaurants. I'd give them a solid 3. Service was okay, food was okay. I didn't get sick from it so can't complain much! Average spot for Mexican food. Came here last night for a friends birthday dinner. Food was so-so and the quanity was s pretty good. Some things were nice and well seasoned, other things needed a little work. The pico had some heat and some nice pieces of jalapeno, which added some nice heat. I ordered the Roger Special, which was plentiful with chicken and steak. Not a lot of shrimp, but the shrimp that was on it, was well seasoned and had good flavor. Margaritas had a strange after taste, but they were strong, so that is always a plus. Service was so-so, and prices were again, so-so. Not the best place, but for small town Canton food, fairly solid. read more

Growing up, La Fiesta has always been a mainstay in Canton for our family. My friends and I LOVED heading here on a week night or weekend to enjoy chips salsa, queso, and chicken quesadillas with friends. They have had their ups and downs and are now back in business! I came back here the other weekend with friends to relax and have a few frozen margaritas on a slow Saturday. Wow, were those good -- and strong! The redesign of the space is welcoming and open. Been wanting to eat here for a long time. The building used to house an A&W drive in many years ago. Ate lunch here today. Salsa was some of the best I've ever eaten. No disrespect to the restaurant, just specifically the waitress, Paula (the blonde woman). My friends and I have been going to La Fiesta our whole lives. In the past few years, customer service has gone downhill. Our waitress (Paula), whom we've had several times without a doubt, greets us with disrespect. When we're ordering, every time she sighs or mutters under her breath, She's made one of my friends cry in the past because she simply didn't want beans and rice with her fajitas and refused to let her order it. She made my friend get something else she did not want. She laughed at her and embarrassed my friend. This was awhile ago and is not our experience today. Today my friends and I weren't that hungry; we really just wanted some queso, but we decided to each just get a chicken quesadilla so we would at least have something. When we ordered the food, she mumbled under her breath, "Oh my god," and walked away. We ended up waiting about 40-50 minutes while families who got there after us with way larger and more complicated orders got their food way before we did. She did not apologize for our wait or come and check on us at all during the wait. Every time she came to our table, she did not say one word and was loudly throwing silverware into the bus tub after picking up our plates. Again, we've been coming here since we were kids and have never had any issues with any of the staff or the restaurant before. I have been eating here on a semi regular basis since the place opened, several years ago. I have never had an issue with the staff being anything but polite and friendly and I have never had an issue with the food being anything but delicious. Claims of authenticity may vary, but the place is owned, ran, and operated by Mexicans. Does that make it authentic? I don't know, but it is certainly nothing like a Taco Bell, that is for sure. This place is quite similar to many other Mexican restaurants in Central IL. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. My favorite thing on the menu is their Nacho Fajitas. A large plate of chips covered in queso blanco and then piled high with either beef or chicken plus peppers, onions, and tomatoes. They also have excellent margaritas. All in all this is a restaurant that I enjoy eating at and I am always up for going here. read more

Food barely above average did arrive fast. Biggest issue are the comments about women the employees makes in spanish. TERRIBLE way to run a business. After hearing comments repeatedly from two of the servers we left VERY disgusted and will not return and definitely don't recommend anybody going there quite the opposite we steer people away from this place. This place started out good! Nice and friendly clean good food!! But went down hill shortly after! Make Employees started talking about female customers inappropriately!! Wife and friends would go for drinks and would fee harassed!! Very dirty, cockroaches have been found in food more than once!! We use to visit frequently, but will not longer step food in there!! My husband, daughter and I went there on a Thursday night(4-30-15). And behind us in a booth were a group of 4 young ladies. They were drinking and screaming, hollering, and then proceeded to discuss their sex life in great detail. My husband said something to the ladies and they just laughed and kept discussing their sex life and let me tell ya, they were going into GREAT detail. So we had our waiter come over and he asked if everything was ok and we said NO They are using very foul language and we have our daughter with us and its not appropriate. He said sorry but he cant say anything to the ladies. Well I am sure he can, but didn't want to since they kept asking for his phone number when he came to their booth. We have been going there since the day they opened, but I will NEVER go there again!!!!! And we ended up not eating our food, we just paid and left. read more

Great food! Very quick service, even when busy. Very consistent food and drink quality.

Wife got Shrimp Mojo de Ajo (peeled and fried with garlic). It had lettuce, tomatoes, and a decent amount of guac with it. I had Carnitas tacos. Soft corn "shell" with tender, very flavorful, no visible fat, pork tenderloin. I asked to have cilantro and onions with it. Both had rice and refried on the side. Inexpensive and definitely worth it. The only tap beer they had was a watery Lite, but that was overlooked. We'll be back. read more
