What I can say about this restaurant it's very amazing There customer service is extremely nice they have never been rude to me, or anyone that I have seen in front of me. There Rice and Chicken special Is amazing as well, it's cooked just right not over cooked or undercooked it's just right. As Well as there tortillas shells they never been bad under my circumstances There Cheese dip is also very amazing as well it's hot and it's delicious, however one or two times it has tasted off but the customer service did handle it and was very sorry about it happening to me. if I could give this place zero stars I would. I came here with my boyfriend and our gf. I ordered a large cheese dip which is watered down and a Texas fajita with corn tortillas they brought out flour tortillas then my fajitas which were cold I literally touched my hand to the food and the skillet. I asked them to remove it because it was cold and I didn't feel like waiting for them to remake the host at the door told me I had to pay half price because I ordered it and it was warm but it wasn't even warm she proceeded to argue with me telling me I had to pay half price even though I sent it all back with out eating any of it. I took my grandkids for dinner around 6pm on Friday ! The fajitas are awesome and we have dined here often ! The issue I had totally blew my mind , I went to use the restroom and the entrance to the men's is outrageous , but as I exited the restroom I found myself trapped between the doors and a male employee gave me an ass massage trapped between the doors ! I was too shocked to think , I should have called the police, but was just in shock ! I am 70 and never experienced anything like this in my life ! Seriously the best salmon and veggies I've had at a restaurant in a while. It comes with a la crema dill sauce and it's fabulous. The salmon is pan seared and lightly crusted. The veggies are el dente with a slight very minor crunch. Broccoli squash and carrots oh my. Lol. And... and... the price is super amazing for such great taste. I'm not a fan of Mexican food. Although I came in here one week ago and ordered the fish tacos from the side menu. They were good but it left a lot to be desired. I asked the server for crema sauce. She gave me the dill sauce that normally comes with the salmon special. I figured if the sauce was that good the salmon special must be amazing. It was and is so much I am getting an order of it to go for my mom. One big issue was the rice... It was not good. It was clumping and dry. I was excited when I saw the rice had brown pieces as though they may have toasted it. (Readers... Must try toasting rice) The rice was just overcooked and underwhelming. I need to preface this review by saying I've been eating here for over 30 years. This means that I am going to have to do my best to not be biased and be as objective as possible, but I think it goes without saying that if I would keep coming back to a place, naturally, it's one of my favorites. As such, dear reader, I humbly ask for a grain of salt. La Fiesta has basically been THE Mexican Restaurant in this little town for as long as most of us can remember. There have been others that have come and gone to little fanfare. Is it because of its long established reputation or is the food really that good? In my opinion... a little of both. It's been very rare that I've ever ordered something from this place that I haven't liked, and everyone who has worked there has always been hospitable and ready with a smile. Of course, if you looked at La Fiesta now and looked at it as it was perhaps 25 or so years ago, you'd barely recognize the place. What used to be a video rental store next door was bought and used as an expansion for the place, which I would say was definitely a smart move on their part. However, as a result, the decor went from a somewhat stereotypical if charming Mexican decor to something more akin to a sports bar, with HDTVs displaying the current runnybouncyball game of the moment. I want to say this was perhaps in response to when a Chili's opened up here which has something of a sports bar motif to it, but I always found that change a tad unnecessary and they could have instead stuck with what was working before and allow the food to speak for itself. That's just me, though; tastes and designs change over time. Every meal comes with chips and salsa; you can also order the house cheese dip, which I like. The salsa, however, tends to be hit and miss. It can either be rather bland or pleasantly spicy. I suppose it depends on who made it that morning. I may never know. I think most people have eaten at a Mexican restaurant before and know that such places live and die by their selections and what they bring to the table, so to speak. La Fiesta has quite the menu, from tacos and burritos to tostada salads and carne asada. If you've eaten at other Mexican places but never here in particular, these are my personal recommendations that have been my family's go-to for a long time. Nachos Al Carbon - Chips, beans, monterey jack cheese and your choice of meat and toppings. I like to get the fajita steak and chicken, and top it with either the house pico de gallo or sliced jalapenos. You can get a half order or a full order, though I would recommend getting the full order if you're choosing to dine in; it's hard for them to pack a full one into their take-out trays. Enchiladas Supremas - Feeling hungry? This has almost everything you could possibly want. Four enchiladas filled with chicken, beef, melted cheese, and refried beans, topped with enchilada sauce, melted cheese and a salad. Add some pico de gallo to this and you're good to go, amigo. Mexican Sandwich - Considered the signature dish of La Fiesta, this looks like a pizza done Mexican style in a way that makes Taco Bell cry itself to sleep at night. Seasoned beef and Spanish rice between a blanket of two flour tortillas, topped with the house chili con carne, salsa, and melted cheese. Hot and Spicy Burrito - ... well, it's basically the Mexican Sandwich, just served rolled up rather than flat, and with Sour Cream. Both are good. Bistec a la Mexicana - I ordered this by accident once, but I don't consider it a mistec (see what I did there?) and it quickly became one of my favorites. The main entree is spicy steak strips with bell peppers and onions, with a salad, Spanish rice and refried beans. Chimichangas - You have two options here. One is a large chimi topped with a salad and cheese. The other is a smaller chimi with a salad, rice and beans. You can get these with either beef or chicken. And of course, fajitas. Because if a Mexican joint can't do fajitas, it may as well be a hot dog stand. Ordered in the restaurant, these always come out sizzling and hot with an assortment of condiments like cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salad, with tortillas to pack it all in. You can get them to go, but I highly recommend you get them if you dine in instead. They have fajitas for one or two depending on how hungry you are, and a selection of three varieties. You can't go wrong with any of them, in my opinion. Most every experience I've had eating from here has been pleasant and disappointments have been very rare indeed. Their tables, floors, and dining-ware are always kept clean and I've always walked away well-fed. A pepper-belly such as myself has never found their food especially hot, but your mileage may vary in that regard. Flavor is king, and I've always found their food delicious. read more

This was my second experience here at La Fiesta. The first time I visited was for a medical personnel gathering when I started at new position in town, and I ordered the shrimp fajitas which were absolutely delicious. This time I ordered the Texas Nachos with a side-serving of a Fajita, and it was quite good. A few shrimp were overcooked, the chicken was delicious, and the stripped beef can occasional be kind of tough to chew. The beef fajita was hot but was kind of dry because there is a paucity of sauce served with it. My recommendation is to ask for extra salsa or cheese sauce to dribble over it to allow for some liquefaction. The food is decent at best and is always served hot. They have a delightful cheese sauce that is served with traditional red salsa with starter tortilla chips. This is a large restaurant for a rural town and it is a favorite among locals. They have an extensive menu with a variety of fajitas, quesadillas, and nachos. It is full and is completed by traditional Mexican desserts. The atmosphere is good for lunch or dinner, and it is great for the family. Children love it. The waitress who served our food did mistakenly drop one of my nachos on the floor and when we asked her to deduct from the bill because of that, she looked at us as if she was confused, and everyone there speaks stellar English. So, be cognizant of those practices. I do quite like their food and will always be interested in coming back. read more

Recently had a decent lunch here with my mom. Although the food is nothing close to authentic Mexican, it's okay considering it is in a small town in GA. The decor was nice and the staff friendly and prompt. Came on a Sunday afternoon when it was packed with church folk but did not have to wait for anything. I've got nothing to complain about which is a plus, but nothing stuck out as memorable either, hence the 3 stars. That said we would both come back in the future. They've got a small full bar with TV's which you cannot enjoy on a Sunday. Also their Sunday hours are weird. They open and close a couple times throughout the day. LaFiesta has been a popular restaurant in Thomaston for years. I rarely go there because I'm not a big fan of Mexican. I do, however, go with friends who want to go and I manage to enjoy being there. One word of advice though is not to go within an hour of their closing time. No one understands better than I do being ready to go home after a long day, but they vacuum all around the tables where customers are sitting, and mop with Lysol all around while people are trying to eat. I felt sick the entire time I tried to eat. My opinion is that if they want to go home earlier they should close earlier. This absolutely ruined our meal, unfortunately. read more

Always see the parking lot packed so despite some of the not so great reviews, we decided to try it. Best thing I can say is that we made our first and last visit at the same time. Drinks and chips came fast. Salsa was more of a seasoned tomato sauce than a real salsa. I ordered the chicken enchilada with chicken taco plate. I asked for salsa verde on the enchilada and for a flour tortilla taco. Husband ordered the beef chimichanga. Less than 5 minutes, I saw the waitress pick up our order and then hand back my plate so the chef could change out the crispy taco for the flour one I ordered. My enchilada and taco were full of shredded chicken, plain shredded chicken. There was plenty of it but it had zero seasonings. The replacement tortilla for the taco was cold and lacked any softness. Beans and rice were barely warm and very lackluster. Husband was underwhelmed with his food as well. He was braver than I and asked for a to go container. I declined the offer. We got on a back road and chucked out his food for whatever brave critter found it. The place is packed out with people for lunch and dinner so I am suspicious about the 1 and 2 star reviews by some here because you do not pack out any kind of restaurant that serves any kind of cuisine without being able to cook food well and have friendly service. Far as some bad reviews here speaking to the food being authentic Mexican food? Well evidently they don't know what authentic Mexican food is then because the only thing La Fiesta does differently is that they cater to the American taste palette which normally can't handle the extreme hot spicy chili's seasoning that is a stable of Mexican cuisine in Mexico. I been there and done that several times and the only difference is the spicy XXXHot part.
