The gym is clean and well kept, although the front door setup allows a lot of grit to be tracked onto the gym floor-so maybe not so good for doing floor exercises in certain spots. They have a lot of equipment and various cardio and resistance machines. Jacob's ladder and the vertical rope machine are two unique but challenging machines not commonly found in a gym. Momentum does a lot with the community and has 'people perks' that provide members with discounts at associated businesses. We got in with the 'opening' membership price which is locked in for life, so that is definitely a bonus! Darren was originally the coach only here, but Steph joined as well once the membership numbers came up. Both are exceptional, with a genuine concern for goal setting, proper form and focus on weaknesses or injuries. They do offer package deals a few times a year that let you work one on one with the coach during half hour or full hour sessions. That is definitely a bonus if you have specific goals. Other locations do offer a selection of group classes, but those are an extra cost on top of monthly membership. There are also 'clubs' that members can join for more social interaction with other members. Also, they do organize social events to bring members from all locations together outside the gym environment. Overall very happy with Momentum, its coaches and the involvement they have with the community.

They will have 5 locations as of 10/15 and are opening another one soon. Pros: -24/7 (as mentioned above) -Access to all locations -Price appears to be reasonable at $49 month, no contract, no initiation fee but they will do the standard and take first and last month payment. -This location seems pretty nice. The upstairs appears to be your typical gym with some cardio machines, assisted weight machines, free weights and a studio. -The studio has 4 boxing/kickboxing bags and a good floor as well. -Within the $49/month, it includes all classes. -From what the manager told me, this specific location is planning to have all types of fitness classes (Kickboxing, yoga, bootcamp, etc) whereas some older locations only have limited classes. The classes won't start until December 1st though. -Now the basement area is where it's at if you're a hard core gym rat. A few more squat racks downstairs, a turf area, sled, kettle bells, and battle ropes. Basically the functional fitness area. Cons: -I can't really say anything bad, but I don't think they have or will have tires to flip, but it has pretty close to everything. -Only two personal change rooms. Verdict: TBD, but I'm pretty impressed. They seem much better than Planet Fitness, at least in concept.
