    Bathroom on the weekends

In such a big corporation , how is it possible that they run out of wipes? First of all, they took all the hand paper rolls that they had installed when the gym first opened and replace with wipes. Who is running the inventory control ? It's a very busy location and cleaning that equipment is a must . They have to do better !

This is the worst LA Fitness I ever been!!! I can't wait to leave town just to forget that places like this still exist and charge people for their services. You will find all types of issues, for instance the machines are missing all the pins!!!! You also can find a sign on the machine (schedule for maintenance) for the weeks I'm not kidding.... Customers service have a lot of place to improve!!!! If you have the option go to another gym!!!!

    Mats are quite dirty

This could be an A rated gym but unfortunately with the way it is currently being run it will never be. I give it two stars as it is a big gym and equipment is still newish. Let's start with the word Signature. I was recently stopped from entering the gym and told that since it was a Signature gym I was not allowed to use it (my original membership was previously purchased at another location). I was told I could either upgrade my membership or use a non signature club. The person at the front desk explained that Signature clubs had saunas, pools and towels. When I asked where the towels and sauna were I was told they are coming soon (based on previous reviews they have been selling this story for quite some time). I explained the club I joined had all those amenities when I signed and there was no way I was paying more just because they slapped the word Signature on a window. No one has since tried to stop me. Cleanliness is not next to godliness here. This gym is too big for just one person to clean. They need a minimum of at least 2 cleaning at all hours. Used paper towels on the floor. Mats can be just down right disgusting. Dust balls the size of rats. They moved the stair climbers not too long ago and there was a big thick black line from all the hair, sweat and dirt that had formed from never being cleaned. They had to bring in an industrial buffer to get it out. Just plain old who gives a sh*t. The alarm on the emergency door beeped for SIX MONTHS. Maybe if someone up front actually made their way to the back they would have heard it. Looking for a certain hand held weight? Good luck as you'll need to search the whole gym for it as at very best only 50% are put back on the rack and of that 50% maybe 1% is in the right spot. Once again, they should have an employee stationed at the rear of the gym to lay down the law about putting things away. People who designed it must not work out. Ever try to heave two 100 lb dumbells onto the second tier rack that is right against a mirror. You won't here, they just put them on the bottom rack where it is marked for the very light weights thereby throwing the whole set up off. They need to reverse the set up. I am not against bolting the benches to the floor but you take your life in hand trying to get a weight off the rack. Move the benches back 2 feet so people can get to the rack if someone is using the bench. Those huge windows up front. When the sun comes up you are completely blinded staring straight into it. GET SOME BLINDS. Take pride in the gym, it'll payoff in the near and long term (sorry for going on and on).

Machines never work. Six stair master machines, only 1 works, for months. Terrible, it seems as if they have no plans to fix them at all.

I used to attend hot/warm/non hot yoga & cardio sculpt classes with co-owner Rebecca Frezza and many other talented instructors pre-Covid.. Like so many, the community was heartbroken when they had to close up back in 2020, BUT: Rebecca, Ilene, Sabratha & Beth have teamed up to do the incredible: pivot and begin again. I cannot imagine the strength of character and creativity it takes to rebuild such a unique community, but these fantastic people are doing it! Alas after enduring incredibly, Zura Bloom reopened right by the Food Town near 6 Points. Their new space is a haven from the outside world: walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor to see that the walls are decorated with John Atura's original paintings, vaulted ceilings and bar studio mirrors and large windows that allow for streaming morning sunlight while maintaining the privacy of those in class. When I step inside the studio.. my mind is put at ease, and I feel welcome. I almost wish I could just hang out at the studio when working remotely just to enJoy the atmosphere some more. There are showers, bathrooms & lovely lavender oil infused towels in the mini fridge to cool down post class. The instructors genuinely care about the people that come to classes, and this is not the kind of place where you will accidentally get hurt doing something that's not right for your body, i.e. classes or "brands" that push you to the point of improper form. Zura welcomes all students of all ages and ability levels, and the instructors are knowledgeable about body mechanics, music and dance, teaching pedagogies and the various philosophies associated with different styles of yoga. I highly recommend any person in search of exercise, health or a bit of peace to attend. Some of my favorite classes are for mindfulness, building strength & excellent instrumental *music curation/choreography* are: - Rebecca's 2:30pm Sat. (Rhthym & Fire*) - Dante's anytime / any day ! (Fusion*) - John's 5pm Friday - Cassie's Hot 26 - Tabitha's* Hot 26 * Many classes (mainly Hot 26) are silent to help students focus, meditate & connect with their breathing, but a few classes use instrumental/percussion & light Sanskrit vocal based playlists that are extremely well paired to movements. I'm talking about musical selections that flow and transition through genres like tribal hand drums from around the world, classical & New Age Indian rāga, electronica from music producers like trip hop L.A. based DJ Bonobo, and the hauntingly beautiful melodies of double bassist and composer Garth Stevenson.* Favorite classes for soothing the body & developing better posture: - Ilene Sunday PM - Beth's early morning - BobbiJo's early morning Favorite classes for vigorous movement: - Rebecca A's Vinyasa - Jeffrey's Power Hour There are still a bunch of instructors that are new to me, and I haven't had the chance to take their classes yet, but I hope to soon!! So happy this studio has reopened in my own backyard. info@zurablooms.com Call: 973-531-6912 71 Washington Street Bloomfield, NJ 07003 https://zurablooms.com

BELIEVE IT. I should…read morepreface this with a disclosure. I have never done yoga and while I was interested and curious about meditation, I never committed to anything beyond an app. My wife did YogaCare's FULL CIRCLE program and was so impressed by her experience that she booked me into their URBAN MEDITATION RETREAT and essentially commanded that I was doing this. I am a cynical sarcastic person, and had a worry that this would be slow torture as I'd been sent 'under duress' -- I couldn't have been more wrong. What Candice and Ulises have built is a truly warm and welcoming community. One where a complete (out of shape and sedentary) novice like me felt absolutely comfortable and all doubt evaporated in seconds. This three-day experience was absolutely invigorating and eye-opening. Ulises' approach to meditation is grounded in the "real" world without sacrificing a profound sense of the spiritual. His openness and encouragement made the three days resonate and they continue to. All of this is done with no dogmatic right or wrong -- it is all presented with a 'just try it' sense that made it inclusive and all the more impactful. Our group was made up of a newbies like me, as well as a number of returning students -- they shared the same kind and open tone that Candice set. Over the course of the retreat, we did all manner of breathing exercises, deep meditation and some yoga movement. While the movement was wildly uncharted territory, I remained open and thoroughly appreciated it. A highlight for me was after a morning session of breathing and meditation, Ulises led us down Fulton Street to the bustling South Street Seaport to see if we could maintain a meditative consciousness while surrounded by the relentless chaos of New York City. If there is any proof needed of the value of the practice -- this was it. I have returned to Yoga Care for a number of weeks now to do their breathing and meditation workshops and am beyond grateful for my 'forced' weekend in their kind care and have been inspired to make meditation part of my life as I've already begun to see the results.

Let me start off by saying, I LOVE THIS STUDIO!!! Dedicated yogi instructors wif hawt bodies and…read morelovin the extreme heat!!!! Yay sweating is good! My one caveat is this, although I appreciate the full circle pulse classes, there's are just too many being offered and it is not nearly as good/beneficial as a reg bikram yoga class. I really think they should just offer it once or twice a week because it is a complement to hot yoga but when they add it in all the time during time slots that are convenient for me when I would rather be taking the regular hot yoga, well that really sucks big time and it makes me upset. And sad/mad combo if that is a thing. People who are on the same page probably get what I'm saying. Please I love the studio. For the love of Bikram yoga and normal people who want to advance in yoga and who also are not overweight or have any Heath body issues, please limit the fcp classes since I'm comming for a workout/detox generally and the fcp class just isn't doin it for me, although yes it is beneficial to take once or twice a week to keep my body in check with the alignment. Ok I have said my peace and I hope you take this into account. Gracias. UPDATE!!!!! Ok yes, yes Candace you are right about those classes just being offered twice a week and I'm sorry I wrote how it was way more times a week and how I didn't like that at all. I guess I just wish the Friday evening class was just a regular ol bikram class if I really had to gripe about something. But no biggie cuz I ended up taking a dance class at that time slot so it worked out fine. I don't know who you are but I love you Candace, thank you for clarifying and ok yeah I think you are definitely running things extremely well there! Yoga people are the best!!! I hung out wif some losers once at a comedy club who said they hated yoga people and went on and on about it, but they obvi have major issues. Weirdos. I def don't talk to them anymore.
