GET THE MEATBALLS!! You're welcome!! The first dish was too salty for me. But this is perfect!

Loved the food here. Great wine selection and service was excellent. Even though they were very busy we didnt feel rushed to finish. We ordered a calzone thinking it would be a good afternoon snack- it was HUGE and delicious!

A rather inconspicuous entrance leads to a down home ambience with available basement seating. The pasta tastes like it was made by someone's grandmother: hearty, bountiful portions, and full of flavor. Typical friendly, Italian service: no over-crowding. I'd come back at the very least to try some of their traditional Roman dishes that I overlooked for the Carbonara, which was excellent.

Cute little spot! We had dinner there on our last night night in Rome. We made a reservation so we could sit outside but they sat us inside. We got their bruschetta to start and it was tasty! I got a steak and a side of potatoes. My wife got linguine with pesto. Both of us really liked the food. The only negative was probably the service. Like I said I made a reservation through TripAdvisor. It was for 8 pm and I believe I put that we wanted to sit outside. We arrived on time and I told the waitress that we had a reservation. I don't know if she understood me but she sat us in the dining room. Later on, I ordered a side of potatoes with my steak. The rest of the food came out fine but I had to ask for the potatoes. She admitted she forgot them. Finally, when we went to pay, I had to tell them about our reservation again. Some restaurants had discounts if you made reservations through TripAdvisor. Luckily, an older woman came out from the back and I explained the reservation to her. She apologized and fixed our bill for us. Overall, it was a good place to eat.

This was our first meal in Rome the night we flew in and we had such a great meal. My friend and I spontaneously walked into La Fraschetta Romanesca for a late dinner after briefly browsing the menu outside. We sat downstairs. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and warm and pretty much exactly what I'd expect an Italian restaurant in Italy to look like. I had a white pizza with mozzarella, sausage, and truffle oil. My friend had the tripe in tomato sauce. We shared fried pumpkin flower for a small appetizer. The fried pumpkin flower came in one piece, so we split it in half. We ordered it because we had never tried it before. It had melted cheese inside and tasted like a cheesy tempura. Not bad! My friend's tripe dish was very good. The tripe was really well prepared and tender, and the tomato sauce in the dish was really fresh. My pizza was amazing! Not only was the truffle oil absolutely delicious but the sausage was also really tasty. The whole combination of ingredients was perfect. This was definitely one of the best pizzas I had ever had. I finished 7/8 of it. (My friend had a slice!) Definitely set the standard for the rest of our Italy trip! We are now a few days into our Italy trip and so far no meal has been better than our meal here. Taste | 4.5 Atmosphere | 5 Presentation | 4 Service | 3 OVERALL | 4.5-5

Best meal since the Agriturismo when we first we got to Italy. Started with porchetta, then I had the Rigatoni alla Grigia and my wife the Pasta e Fagioli... what a meal! Add a Coke and a glass of Valpolicella wine and it's hard to believe it only came to 35€!!! 5 stars well deserved.

Dinner with my wife was excellent - pesto pasta - fried meatballs - Quattro formagi pizza Private, romantic, sit downstairs

Very good food and large portions. The Carbonara was great. I'd skip the Roman style meatballs next time.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem.
