The service at Plantation is phenomenal! The technicians do excellent work, and the inside staff are so helpful. I always leave feeling like I've received top-notch work. We get our oil changed and tires rotated, and the staff will recommend additional services (alignment, replace wiper blades, etc.) only when it's necessary. My sweet Zroomy (car) was way overdue for new breaks and I was aware of this for almost a year. I went there to get a previously patched tire replaced and asked them to skim over my vehicle for other issues. They recommended that I replace my back breaks.... nothing that I wasn't already aware of, but they kindly, bluntly, logically said... it's time if you want that car to stop on command. Excellent service & prices are very good. Matched price on same Bridgestone tires that Costco had & I always try to spend money at locally owned businesses. Plantation was running on time for my appointment. I called the day before about a replacement and they ordered it and had it ready and waiting when I arrived. The customer waiting area was very spacious and comfortable (even smelled good!) and the bathrooms were clean as well. I could tell by the other customer conversations that this was a trusted and reliable car repair facility and that people were repeat customers. Our "go to" mechanic shut down a couple of years ago and we have not found a new repair facility that we liked as much but I think we did after using Plantation. I didn't realize it so much more than just tires. The young man I dealt with on the phone and in person was very professional and informative about the products and services they provided. I even heard him talk a customer out of more expensive AWD tires because he said that they would make his GMC rattle on the road. Friendly and fast service with a smile every time. I got my most recent set of tires here, and they were very friendly, fast, and fair in pricing. I appreciate a personable staff member answering the phone, and he told us just to come in. Within an hour, we were out the door. Yesterday, i picked up a huge screw in my tire and before long it was nearly flat. I am trying to stay home as much as possible during this pandemic outbreak, so i was a little nervous to go somewhere without being assured they are taking precaution. Sure enough, the gentlemen behind the counters were wearing masks, the place was clean, there was hand sanitizer, and they addressed the precaution taken in the cars. They are using steering wheel covers and keeping a clean facility. About 30 - 45 minutes and i was done! (I was behind a couple of people.) The owner Mark states in an earlier response that the black oil in my engine was due to bad motor. He also states that the oil change was at the required time which is ALL false! If that were true,, being my vehicle had prior service at this location, it is their responsibility to report sludge presence on their inspections while servicing. The fact that there has NEVER been a report of sludge before,, shows that either the statement Mark made is false or they haven't correctly inspected as stated. My engine is new. (I have all records)Secondly , the oil was changed prior to the next visit, which was not the date on the sticker.. The oil is darker due to continued unknown driving on the same high mileage oil that was never removed. The filter was removed,, not the oil contents.. Continued viscosity breakdown. Oil at 5,000 miles will look differently at 8,000miles. Mark the owner has responded to the prior posting, but has yet to contact me directly. I didn't need an oil change on March 29th because it had been changed to find the current issue! I had to endure being cursed at by an employee that told me F**k Y** after returning to the property to ask for a call back!!. That is not customer service!! You never curse a customer.... I had to continually ask questions regarding my missing wheel piece in which it took 2months to get it!! These ppl run bs thinking Noone knows better. read more

Had to go get two back tires put on my jeep. The guy at the counter was friendly in helping me decide what to get and he remembered me from three years ago. I decided to hang around and wait for them to be put on. The inside of the shop is clean and comfortable. They have tables and chairs to sit at. Coffee and vending machines as well. I waited for about an hour for it to be done because they had a few vehicles ahead of me. The price wasn't bad either for the tires and the labor. I was satisfied with my experience. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable & efficient staff. Seems like they all work together & communicate. When I used to go to the dealer, trying to get an update was an eventful task. Only one person can give you any information so you have to catch them at the right time. Plus the wait & the prices were ridiculous. Had them replace some parts for me recently. The people were exceptionally nice, and they gave me a loaner car to drive around. They serviced my vehicle same day and it drives very smoothly now. I'm taking a few stars off however, because I looked up the parts after the fact and it seems that I was grossly overcharged for them. Over $200 each for parts listed under $100 at the most expensive online. My stepdad is mad at the overcharge but the guys were nice so I'm calling it even. read more

Tried to get an inspection sticker here twice. First time I called. They said they were doing them. I make the drive, give them all my information for them to come back and say that they didn't realize their inspection guy had left early from work. Stopped in this morning for an oil change and state inspection. Didn't take long at all, but when I was ready to pay, they informed me that my total was $107.11 for a Toyota Venza. I asked why it was so much for an oil change, I was told that Toyota recommended synthetic oil. I checked my owners manual and it recommended using 5W30, which is not synthetic. When I asked them about it, they told me that the manual was probably generic, and I should follow the instructions on the oil cap. So we walked out to the car and looked at the cap, which read "Use 5W30 oil". The guy then tells me that he can only go by what his computer tells him to use. He shows me his computer print out that reads "Use 5W30 or synthetic oil". Once he realizes this, he tells me "Look, we are not a discount oil change facility ". I didn't ask for a discount, but I do like honesty. I would stay away from this place. read more

Brought my vehicle in because I had a sudden vibration coming from my drivetrain. Asked them to check it out. Left it with them.. about 45 minutes later the call me and tell me I "Need new tires." I ask them, what tires need to be replaced? Why do they need to be replaced? They are fairly new with less than 10,000 miles and have been regularly rotated. They tell me, "there is uneven wear and they all need to be replaced." Should I mention I have $500 tires on this vehicle? What I did not mention to Plantation is that I had already had the tires checked on the vehicle and also had them balanced. Needless to say I went back and said no thanks. When I arrived, it looked like the vehicle hadn't even been moved from the spot I left it in... the engine wasn't even hot. In the end, when I brought it to someone who wasn't trying to rip me off, I needed a new universal joint, and my tires are still fine. Go to Plantation Tire and Care Care if you are looking to throw some money away. Otherwise, stay far, far away. read more

3 Strikes and your out! This place lacks the staff of mechanics to do the job right. Strike 1. I purchased 2 new tires for my BMW. They damaged both custom wheels installing the tires. Wheels are discontinued and non repairable. Did compensate me for the damage. Strike 2. Had my front end aligned on my SUV, 2 weeks later had to hit brakes hard to avoid accdent. This knock the front end out of alignment causing hard pull to right. They realigned and I had to pay for 2nd alignment. Had checked by other shop. I was told that first alignment was most likely not done properly. Strike 3. Had some custom wheels installed (purchased elsewhere). They over tighten the lug nuts to where they were almost impossible to be removed with a regular lug wrench. They also destroyed the special locking lug nuts (used to prevent wheel theft) by installing it with the impact wrench. They have agreeded to replace the dmaged parts. read more

I have taken my car here three times for an oil change and once to plug a tire. I always was treated indifferently, not exactly rude, but not friendly and happy that I'm spending my money with their business either. Anyway, when I had to have the tire plugged a few weeks ago, my truck had been sputtering and the check engine light was on, so I got them to give me an estimate on repairs - over $1500. Thank goodness that I got a second opinion. I took my truck to another, more reputable place (I read some of the reviews on here and saved myself some heartache and money) and they properly diagnosed the problem, fixed my truck and changed my oil for $865. BUYER BEWARE HERE - get a second opinion. Better yet, don't do business here. read more

I have had service here since they opened and before that at Highland Rd location. Can't describe how good their service in all aspects has been. Buying tires at incredibly good prices and they fix any automotive problems you can think of. I say that because I had new cars that were covered by warranty but coincidentally I was in close proximity to Planation Tire when a problem developed. Although they got me going they told me it was under warranty and dealer could fix it permanently for free. There was No charge to do this . Now cars out of warranty and they do a fantastic job at most reasonable price. Always give best price on best tires for my vehicles. No hard sell. read more

I needed brakes for my car and I brought to Plantation Tire. They told me that I needed front and back brakes along with new roters and the hydrolics flushed out and would cost me $758!! I told them I wanted to take it somewhere else. My car had just started making a grinding noise the day before so I didn't think all that work needed to be done. I took it to another place and the man said all that needed to be done was get new front brake pads and my front roter turned and it only cost me $150 and my back brakes needed the same thing in about 3 months. I guess those guys at Plantation saw a young woman coming in and felt they could rob me! BEWARE! read more

Brought car in. Asked for the same tires that were on the car. Parellis, they put cheap Bridgestone tires on. I noticed the horrible way the car was driving and called them back. They said oh yea, I guess we can order them for you. When the parellis finally came in my husband was in the Hosipital so I told them never mind. I didn't have time to leave the car with them. The front tires kept loosing air. Every 3 days I had to inflate them. I took my car to several places to have the tires repaired. 6 different places checked them and could find no leaks. (Apparently faulty tires). My husband passed away and after 2 more weeks of having to reinflate the tires I called plantation and told them I wanted the tires I had originally asked for. They put the tires on my vehicle and charged me for the full price of the tires. No refund for the wrong, faulty, leaking tires they tried to stick me with. read more
