I was hungry and saw this place out of the corner of my eye. I stopped to check them out in yelp quickly and decided to check them out. Walking it the indoors dinning area is a little small but they make the best use of their space by adding a bar seating along the window. There is also several cute colorful tables for outside seating. At first I just went in for tacos and ordered my go-to breakfast potato, egg, cheese taco. Then after I ordered and paid I started looking around and saw they had a brunch breakfast and they had menudo in their buffet. So I asked if I could order menudo to go since I didn't have time to stay for the brunch in house. The ladies taking the orders are nice and the buffet looks amazing, I'll have to come back and try it out. I did feel like they took a little while to get my to-go order out. It would have been faster for me to eat in house. They brought my order out and good thing I looked at my order upon getting to my car because I noticed they had forgotten to give me the breakfast taco I had ordered first. They were pretty nice about it and I appreciated their apologetic and positive attitude about it and bringing it out as quickly as possible. So now, the first bite of my taco...OMG DELICIOUS! the tortillas are fresh and home made (made sense why it took a little longer) and it was piping hot! Also, the potatoes tasted fresh and not frozen, which makes a huge difference! The salsa was also very flavorful with the right amount of kick and I just wanted to drink it! I still haven't taken my first bite of the menudo but I'll come back and update the review once I do. Overall, I liked the atmosphere and the tacos...I'll be back again to try their brunch buffet and write a review on that...you should join me in checking them out! Our neighbors recommended we visit La Guera for their weekend breakfast buffet so, as you probably guessed, we went the very next day. Located across from The Neighborhood Walmart on Park Springs in SW Arlington in a strip shopping center. This place is tiny! But they do have outside seating. We arrived before 11:00, as advised by the neighbors and we got the last table. I was stunned at the beautiful buffet setup. Gorgeous clay pots atop matching heaters. It didn't look like a lot of stuff but there was a TON of food packed in. At least 6 beef dishes plus pork and chicken items. All with the original names in Spanish. Wow they were delicious. The chicken mole was my favorite. They had pozole, menudo. A LOT of sauces and salads and they tasted homemade to me, pickled onions-just tons of condiment type things. But wait-theres more. Then the breakfast dishes-eggs with every meat you can imagine and my husband said they were fantastic. I think the flour tortillas were homemade but whatever, they were good. But wait-still more!! You can order from a special menu that had waffles, pancakes, quesadillas (with steak!) enchiladas Rojas and verdi, and a couple of more things. It was just overwhelming. Real Mexican food! Good Mexican food. And it was hot! Most buffets can't seem to get this goin but they need to invest in these beautiful clay things (chafers?) I highly recommend this place. The ladies running the front were so sweet. Service was great. They offer bottled American and Mexican drinks. Coffee is on the bar and is included with buffet. They offer can and bottled beer and agua frescas. Only complaints were -it was a wee bit warm due to small size and lots of hot pots. But it didn't bother us. Everywhere in Texas is hot this time of year. The other complaint was -we need cheddar cheese. It's a must for those wonderful egg dishes. Maybe even some sour cream. You can get it cheap across the street. Lol. And, a margarita machine would make money like crazy. But I'm aware of the license situation in Arlington. What is their problem up there at City Hall (everything!). You MUST try La Guera's weekend brunch buffet. It's fabulous. I have a feeling they will be expanding soon! It's getting very popular. The place inside has very limited tables. Its small inside. They have tables outside too. Food is serve in a clay pot. Everything is small. There are some food that you can order that is still included in the brunch buffet. They have pozole, menudo, fideo, borracho beans, chicken & beef fajita, etc. They also have choices of salsas. You can also order for waffles, pancakes and french toast and they are still part of the brunch buffet which cost 16,99$ without drinks. They have aguas frescas, soda in bottles and coffee which you pay separately. They do not have enchiladas nor chile Relleno which are our favorites. Their breakfast is soft tacos. They have chips for the salsas. Churros is the only dessert . Food tastes bland need more seasoning salt for scrambled egg, more oregano for the menudo. Place is neat. Enough parking. read more

Yummy, fairly new taco shop in South Arlington! This shop is close to the dry cleaner and CVS we frequent so we finally made it a point to stop it. La Guera is in a great, out of the way location with plenty of parking at the end of a small strip mall. Their menu is small and their drink selection is large. They have a selection of agua frescas and lots of bottled choices as well. We tried a large selection of their tacos and we agreed that our favorite was trompo. They have a yummy salsa bar that included chips, pinto beans, and soup. Everything was delicious! It's cute and a little small inside but they also have outdoor seating. read more

This place just isn't it 1) $3 a taco is even steap for California, wouldn't mind paying it if it was groundbreaking good, and.a bit larger. These are really small. So let's get to that part 2) I ordered the carne asada, chicken and pastor tacos, all flavorless. No marinade or flavor. The pastor was full of pineapples. Rice and refried beans were also flavorless. 3) salsa bar is abundant. I got almost one of each, they all needed salt. One was good and it's the chunky roasted Chile type. 4) you can grab chips to go, they're just okay. They also had the beans, but I couldn't grab any of those to go. 5) tortillas for the tacos were good, but sooooo greasy. All in all, im still on the hunt. Will def not be back here. read more

Outside seating is available too. There is a super cool painting on the wall. These are street tacos and they are kind of small but, the corn tortillas had a little bit of crispness to them, which made them pretty good. My daughter got steak tacos and I got Barbacoa and carnitas. We asked for grilled onions and they added them on the side. That was a very nice touch. They have a great selection of sauces, chips, beans and all that to put on your tacos. I guess the bottom line is they're OK. The Barbacoa had a decent flavor but the others are just OK. I'm thankful to finally have a spectacular taco joint in this area! When you enter you'll note the amazingly colorful atmosphere and was the lady who greeted me had a contagious smile, I would find out later in the meal, she is also the co-owner! We had the carnitas, chorizo, beef fajita, steak, chips and queso and the queso birria. Not only were they all very good, they also had a salsa bar! They had salsa for everyone, spicy, mild, and even a green salsa that tasted amazing! We can't wait to come back and try the breakfast next week. read more
