We were pleasantly surprised by this place, just needed somewhere to eat lunch before meeting up with family. The chips and salsa were pretty good, and the margarita was very good and only about $7 for 12oz, which isn't bad. I decided to try a few different street tacos - 1 barbacoa, 1 brisket, 1 pastor and 1 carnitas - they were all very good but the barbacoa and carnitas were the best, and queso for cheese enchilada was very good too. My husband is super picky about enchiladas and chili con carne and he really loved theirs, so it's always a win to find Mexican food he really likes rather just tolerates. The inside is pretty simple as far as decor but bigger space than I was expecting, bathroom was basic but decent. Great service, our server was attentive and kind and food came out fast! OK, 5 stars is difficult to give for me. That said, couldn't find a thing wrong with this place. Took my wife for cheese enchiladas with chili con Carne, which has become hard to find. Wife was thrilled with the enchiladas as well as rice and beans. Salsa has GREAT flavor without burning your tongue. I ordered the brisket enchiladas with Ancho sauce. Very good flavor. We went to Tacos Regio for lunch and it was really good, surprisingly. They have some great lunch specials. I had the street tacos lunch special, it came with three tacos and rice and beans. They have options for two or five tacos. I had barbacoa, pollo asada and brisket. The salsa that comes out complimentary was also really good. I ordered fish tacos and guacamole for $32 through Grubhub with tip. I got the fish tacos and some chips but no $9.50 guacamole. I called the store and the young who I spoke with had no idea what she was talking about. I spent 4 minutes on the phone with her repeating each question and answer to someone else also in English. She started to give me a lesson on ordering hot sauce before she realized that they screwed up which was the first thing I said and took her two minutes to grasp. Had lunch today with hubby and four girlfriends (mine, not his) and LOVED it! I didn't realize it at the time, but Omar was our server and I think he's the actual owner - very cool. Greeted with menus, chips and salsa immediately - All drinks except iced-tea are in a bottle. I got the iced tea and it was clearly not pre-made, as the ice melted quickly. Very tasty. We ordered a bowl of queso to split when we were just three people and it was a big pricey at $9 but it was so rich and thick that we barely put a dent in it. It's obviously not cheese-sauce and had a good cheese flavor with pico mixed it. Yum. When the other two arrived, they ordered another bowl..big mistake! I don't think all five of us could have finished one bowl - start with a cup, trust me! Hubby got two chicken enchiladas and a legend street taco. All the girls had street tacos, including al pastor, fish, shrimp and barbacoa. The barbacoa was amazing and clearly the standout. Juicy and flavorful, almost melted in your mouth. I got mine with flour tortillas and everyone else got the corn. Overall, you can definitely pig out for less than most other mexican places and the food and service was outstanding. I had originally written I've only been here once. and wrong! Foodies! you KNOW how much I love a 'hole in the wall' restaurant! I had the Brisket Taco, corn tortilla which added a great flavor to the meat and absolutely delish by itself. Chopped onion and cilantro topped the taco. The chips were a complimentary side so I got a cup o queso and it was good. The chips are thick and I could put that dip on thick. Happy customer here. Found this place on accident because we wanted to go to Lemongrass for lunch and it didn't open till noon. I had the tacos and they were delicious! It lacked a little bit of dressing (needed more cilantro and onions) but I asked for more and was promptly given it. The salsas that came with the tacos were yummy and spicy! Got street tacos with rice and beans to go recently. The chicken and beef tacos, and sauces were wonderful. The rice was good but the refried beans were probably the best I have had in a very long time. I usually don't pay attention to refried beans but these are amazing. Customer Service is top notch. Warmly greeted when I walked in the door and I believe the owner is who helped me order. I was in and out the door in about 10 minutes. They are very proud of their food and rightly so.
