The best thing about this restaurant is the friendly service. And a quick survey of the clientele shows that it is a local favorite. Although it is in a strip shopping row, the venue inside was pure Mexican, even to the point of Telemundo on the TV in Spanish. Prices are low by today's inflationary standards but you get what you pay for sometimes. We found the food mediocre. The rice is pretty bland but the refried beans weren't bad. The street tacos were made with fresh onions and cilantro but the marinated pork was over grilled and a bit dry. The flautas were fried perfectly but the shredded beef was bland. The guacamole had been piped from a pastry bag and was far to lemony.... a trick to make it last longer before it oxidizes. But with the guacamole the flautas were decent. The salsa was flavorful but extremely mild and I can only speculate that is the way the locals like it. And the chips were fairly thick and a bit stale; I couldn't tell if they make them locally or if they come from a restaurant supply store. I tried a frozen Mango marguerita and couldn't taste or feel any alcohol but it was a nice dessert. If you are traveling, this location is quite a ways from the main services at the north end of town where old U.S. 30 passes through. This place is decent if your expectations are not too high. Ordered drinks and the server kept bringing out drinks for another table versus bringing our drinks. We were the only 2 tables in the place so it wasn't busy at all. This authentic restaurant exceded our expectations. The chicken Mole was absolutely delicious and just as good as mom makes! The pork Chile was also delicious. This is by far my favorite Mexican Restaurant. They have daily specials that include a meal and drink, always enough to leave satisfied. Everything is authentic, always cooked fresh to order, and served piping hot. Prices are good and service is always outstanding. On Friday and Saturdays they serve $1 baby margaritas that are out of this world! read more

There is very little that is authentic about this place. We were served store-bought guacamole and pico de gallo. The server was not aware of what queso dip was, but kindly offered us canned nacho cheese. There are better places in town for Mexican food, so don't waste your time here. read more

Me and my family have been going here to eat after farmers market for about 4 years. The service is always amazing, the people are amazing, and you're food comes to you pretty quickly. The fact they home make their pico and guac, really keeps me coming back along with the food. The food is great the menu is very large and you get many choices. I noticed the last review was four years ago, so I'm assuming things have changed. We really enjoy La Hacienda. The daily specials are tasty and include a drink for about $7. The big burritos off the menu are very filling and can definitely go for two meals from the portions. The staff is friendly and attentive. My wife said that while it doesn't look like much from the strip mall front, she appreciates the atmosphere inside. We definitely recommend you check this out! read more
