We needed a DOD (Date of Death) appraisal for a property that was in a trust. I did a little bit of research for an appraiser that serviced the area of the property and read up on a few that had good to great overall ratings (and not fake reviews). I made an inquiry with LA Home Appraisal, they were quick to reply, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and when we made our deposit, they were quick to complete the appraisal (even right in the middle of the holiday season). Everything about the appraisal of my condo unit by Jeff Eum was good. (This is my first experience having a property appraised.) Jeff Eum gave me a report that is detailed. It contains description of the unit and the whole property (with photographs), data on sales of comparable properties in the area as well as descriptive numbers about my unit, with analysis of the data justifying his conclusion-that is, the appraised value. Everything about the process was easy and satisfactory. I found Jeff Eum by searching the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers web site for Certified Residential Appraisers in the area. I called him and arranged to have the walk-through appraisal a few days later. The quoted price seemed fine. We met so that he could do the walk-through appraisal.
