I recently visited a friend who was living in this community for a party, when I first entered the building, I was very impressed by how they designed the corridor; the light was bright and welcoming and made me very welcome. There are many restaurants near this apartment. We were able to order take-out from hundreds of restaurants nearby. Getting the food from the driver on the street was also easy, because it is a small street, so it doesn't have much traffic. The apartment was new, with a great-looking kitchen with LG appliances. On top of that, there is also a barbecue on the rooftop. It's a beautiful way to end your day watching the sunset over Ktown and enjoying a lovely bbq. Last but not least, is because there are, I believe, 50 units, there is a peacefulness here. I live in another apartment, and there were over 300 units. They were nice too, but there was a lot of constant activity/ noise within the building. I am thinking about moving in with Tripalink after my lease end with my old place, and I have seen their social media of a new upcoming apartment, which also look fantastic. Overall, great first impression. read more

Here's a summary of my 1.5 years at a Tripalink property. I'm luckily at the end of my lease this month and they've decided to prematurely evict other tenants, I believe they sold the building or want to fix it up and charge more idk. No warning- just an email in the middle of the month that they need to be out by the end of the month. I have lived here for a year and six months and the beginning of July they finally sent someone to fix the air conditioning. Less than a month before I move out. The HVAC crew showed up with no warning, no knock and walked in the door. They didn't explain to me that they were there to totally replace the air conditioning, the same air conditioning I haven't used since I moved in and won't be using after it's fixed. I sent the HVAV crew out the door running and they sent a Chinese student tripalink employee I've never met to sweet talk me into letting them do it. NO. Do NOT sign a long term lease with this company or sign at your own risk. I've never had a company so inept at what they specialize in. There isn't even space in the communal fridge for me to put milk and someone moved in and they threw my milk that I had in a separate part of the fridge designated to a room no one has lived in (and no one lives in because THERES NO AIR CONDITIONING). They just took my groceries out the fridge without notifying me or asking me and I'm upstairs all day like it's just so fking weird. The person they threw my groceries out for moved in for a couple months and they had to move him bc of the AC anyways. The professionalism is so mid. They will put you in rooms that are in disrepair- your air conditioning isn't working, or that you have roaches, you have no hot water and huge leaks in the walls and mold. Then when you ask them to come maintain THEIR building they ignore you or gaslight you. I tried to ask them how to coordinate my move out and getting my deposit but no reply yet. This company just took over management of my apartment building and it's not great. The move to a new payment portal was messy - at best. The staff isn't friendly or helpful. I'm definitely going to be moving at my lease end. They specialize in more dorm style/communal living usually, so I'm curious if they'd like all current renters to move out so they can convert the building. Just my conspiracy theory there, lol, no effect on this review. I would strongly advise not renting anywhere who uses Tripalink for management purposes. read more

This is the worst property management I've ever come across - our floors were rotting when we moved in and the only reason they were fixed is because we called the city inspector. Our window was also shattered when we moved in. My Internet has been going out for six months and nothing has been done to fix it. My roommate had a major leak from his ceiling and it's been five weeks and the room still hasn't been cleared for him to move back in. And he's still expected to pay rent. They barely speak english, change their names up on airbnb as hosts every month and do shady stuff to try to charge you or get collections from you. Stayed at a property for 6 months, half of the tenants are employed by tripalink and the other half are not even students or usc alumni. Random incidents of people stealing food from each other's fridges, missing apartment, dirty asf 99% of the time because so many people are in and out. Maintenance requests take weeks of nudging and constant reminding for management. Probably the worst way to live in the area. read more

The building maintenance was terrible when managed by Tripalink; none of my baseboards touch the flooring which is crazy. They also offer sign-on leases then make up erroneous reasons of why you did not qualify. They don't return calls or emails--this company is scam likely. read more

My daughter has been living for a year in an apartment in LA owned by Tripalink to pursue her education in UCLA. Tripalink delivers an extremely poor customer service. They never answered maintenance requests. They never delivered the cleaning of the apartment as they were engaged to as per the contract. The lease is now over. I recently moved into a Tripalink-managed unit at 1515 Colby Ave and was shocked by the conditions. The apartment was dirty and unhygienic upon move-in: Shower head and glass covered in rust and grime Bathroom and kitchen cabinets dusty and dirty Toilet and sink not cleaned Floors so filthy that my Swiffer pads turned black after one pass (photos attached) Bedroom door with no lock and a broken handle (serious safety issue) Washing machine absolutely disgusting and unusable To make things worse, I informed management early that I was arriving from out of state and asked if I could move in before 3:00 p.m. They refused to accommodate me, so I had to wait from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.--only to finally enter an apartment that had not even been cleaned. I submitted the official move-in review form and sent multiple emails to the property manager and Tripalink corporate. No one has responded. Being completely ignored while paying full rent is unacceptable. Tripalink hides behind mountains of clauses in the lease that allow them to treat tenants unfairly, while leaving tenants with absolutely no protection. I renewed what I thought was a 12-month lease, only to find out later that they secretly changed it to 13 months--with zero verbal or written notice about the switch. Jesus where do I even begin. Rented a place near USC. The day i'm supposed to move in, the place i'm supposed to be moving into wasn't even cleaned from the tenants before. Everything was there, trash from last year, toilet wasn't even cleaned. It was disgusting. After i told them they so called "cleaned" the mess but when I came back the toilet was still not cleaned and all the trash was left??? So what exactly did they clean? I'm extremely disappointed with my experience renting from Tripalink. I lived at 1315 North 15th Street in Philadelphia from August 2023 to July 2024. A few months before I moved out, Tripalink sold the building to another company. They sent us a written notice saying our security deposits would be transferred to the new management -- but that turned out to be false. Neither I nor my roommates ever received our deposits back. I contacted Tripalink multiple times with polite, professional emails, and they completely ignored me. The new management also claimed they didn't receive the deposits. It seems like an entire building of tenants was deceived, with no one taking responsibility. I always paid my rent on time and kept the apartment in good condition. It's unacceptable and unethical to treat tenants this way. Based on this experience, I strongly warn others not to rent from Tripalink. read more

RENTER BEWARE: They incentivize "good" reviews (see my photo of the raffle) with expensive prizes. Looking at the reviews here should tell you why they have to do so. Let me start with my 2-year experience Tldr: -Mold problem -Roach problem -Stolen packages -Poor maintenance -Very hard to contact (unless it's about renewing your lease, then they'll never stop calling) -Left my front door opened and unlocked multiple times. -I got locked out, and they responded to my emergency by hanging up twice -Poor washer/Dryer quality and always broke down -Only good thing was location, and that is how they get you. Now, let me give a full review here. I chose Tripalink because they were close to the USC campus, and the price seemed okay. Within not even 2 months, there was mold everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Everything under the bed, everything on the windows were covered. Since I was constantly busy as a graduate student, I would basically just use the apartment to sleep in, and didn't notice until it got bad. I called maintenance and told them everything. Because I had thoroughly cleaned it (hours and hours of work) they said it must not have been a problem. Like are you kidding me? It could very much be in the walls (which it was) and it could return (which it did for months). This same behavior from maintenance was repeated countless timed between me and my roommates. Never taking it seriously. Finally, AFTER 7 MONTHS, they check the walls for water and mold AND WOW IT'S IN THE WALLS. This whole time, we also have little guests in the form of cockroaches and ants constantly around. ABSOLUTELY atrocious behavior. Then they randomly had maintenance over to paint and clean, and both times, when I was living alone mind you, they left the door to my apartment completely open and unlocked. I got back home at 10PM and had thought someone had broken in. Imagine having to worry about this kind of thing happening. Once again, Tripalink never acknowledged the problem. Then once I got locked out during a holiday and so I called the emergency number they gave me for help during the holidays. I asked the guy on the line when someone would come reiterating I had work to do soon, and he was of no help. When I reiterated this point, the guy hung up on me. And then they came TWO DAYS later. I had to wait until a random tenant by chance came out 3 hours later, and when Tripalink came out two days later, they fixed the door. Fantastic. Lastly, they always try and bribe their tenants. TL;DR: Don't lease units at the Audrey or any Tripalink managed properties. It's poorly managed, they lease out broken-down units, take forever to get anything fixed, and do not value making things right. ------ We moved in on Jan. 27th and it was a nightmare for 3 days before things would become somewhat normal. It was very apparent that this unit was not ready to be leased at all. For 3 days straight, we had to constantly hound the manager with emails/calls to be urgent about what was wrong with our unit because for 3 long days, we didn't have any of the following basic amenities: -The toilet was broken. Can ya'll imagine not having a bathroom in your place of residence? Every time we had to use the bathroom, we'd have to go into the lobby and ask the security guard to use their bathroom. -The only water that came out of any faucet was super hot water. -The fridge was super dirty and was broken. -The washer/dryer was broken and had a pool of dirty water sitting inside of it. -AC/heater was broken. -The shower was not only dirty but missing the handle/trim making it useless. -The balcony screendoor was missing. -Sink disposable, you guessed it, BROKEN. While all this was going on, we didn't have our parking spots either because the remote key card maker was, DING DING DING, broken. A myriad of other things to add to that list but ya'll get the point. I gave up on anything else and did it myself. When things were finally fixed, we were looking to be reimbursed for 3 days of rent for the unit being uninhabitable and have the parking fees be prorated since we didn't have parking. To this day, all the manager says is management is still going through legal to see if we're warranted anything. AKA they don't care. Now we're dealing with one of our parking spots having a ceiling leak. The manager gave us another spot but people keep parking in that new spot so we have to switch between the old spot and the new spot. Meanwhile, the leak is leaving so many white stains on the window and roof of the car. Here are some other things to note. If you guys tour this place, ask to see the package room. Good luck receiving and finding your packages in there. Mine have gotten lost so many times already since it's a small closet for 200 units. The elevators here are constantly broken. They keep sending people in to repair it to have it work for only 2 days. As you can see, anything that needs repair, will most likely take months and months for anything to be done but only if you keep badgering them to do it. If upper management is reading this, ya'll need to do better and check to see how your properties are being run. read more

Worst ever property management company, it was a mess when we moved in, a lot of appliances and furnitures were damaged, and left unrepaired. Super slow maintenance responses, we had to keep calling them in order to get things fixed. Ceilling leaks when it rains. No mailbox keys were given to us at all for a year. Promised weekly cleaning service and only got it for like two months, then no cleaning after that. When we moved out, we got charged a third of the security deposit, which is a joke, cus it had all the damages when we moved in. read more

I too would give these scams artists a zero star if I could. My step daughter moved out in July 2024 and we are still trying to get the $1000 deposit back. I have called at least 10 times and the customer no service says it's processing in accounting. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau because it's law that deposits be returned within 21 days if vacating the property. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT RENT HERE. This leasing company is the worst. Long story short, I had to get lawyers involved because they continued to charge me rent after my lease had ended. During my 10-month stay, I was locked out multiple times (the smart lock digital code didn't register) and had to sleep in my car because the contact number provided was unresponsive. Additionally, the toilet was clogged from day one, and I constantly dealt with maintenance issues. On one occasion, I waited 72 hours for help with no other toilet available. Please, especially if you're a student, do not rent here. The property management's communication is not just poor--it's nonexistent. I am a current tenant. I imagine the company will give a generic, meaningless response but just know that It's truly terrible living at their "co-living" buildings. Somehow they have higher ratings on google which seemed really weird but yelp seems more accurate. There is one thermostat that controls the HVAC for the entire building. Tenants can't control their own heating and air conditioning. The AC had been on but last night I came home and my room was extremely hot. This morning I realized the heat is actually on. The manager controls the thermostat and it seems like they may be retaliating because of this review. Not sure, but regardless, it's miserable The building I live in has 16 units. They allow multiple people to live in each. The building has two washing machines and two dryers. One washing machine is currently broken and someone removed the lint traps from the two washing machines. So you can't do laundry currently. This is very much just the beginning... Also, I just got back home after two weeks. Who knows how long it's been like this. The property management claims to provide a cleaning service, yet in the time I have live here there have regularly been lapses of weeks or months when no one cleans. On top of this the management regularly issues warning to tenants to fine them for things like doing laundry after quiet hours (seems like something that should be available 24/7?) they have also now stopped the cleaning crews (who rarely show up) from taking out the trash. The reason why this is an issue is because the building is extremely small and has 16 units. So, there is only space in the kitchen for one garbage can that the property management had in the kitchen when I moved in. After stopping trash removal, tenants have began to use shopping bags to collect trash (as there is no room for additional trash cans) resulting in numerous grocery bags full of trash being hung from counter tops for as much as weeks at a time. It's disgusting. I live in one of their co-living locations. If you were to calculate the amount you pay per square foot then it would actually be among the most expensive housing in the county. That's because the units are so small you can barely fit inside them, let along storing any of your belongings. These are only some of the veryyyy mannyyyyyy issues I have had with this company in the time I've lived here. I'd hate to take even more time out of my life to try to address the many, many flaws with this building and the company's approach to property management. But, I wanted to at least get a few things down so I could warn anyone who is looking, DO NOT RENT FROM TRIPALINK. It's gross. Very uncomfortable and not to mention many of their buildings are in areas that are not considered to be very safe. Which is a whole other thing, security issues. Don't get me started. Ok, well yeah. Absolutely worst management company. My package was stolen and emailed the management. Sent them a screenshot of the tracking, my package was delivered on Dec 19th. First replied saying that they do not have access to recordings prior to Dec 9th, asked them to read my email again that my package was stolen on Dec 19th. Then they replied that they do not have footage for Dec 19th. Honestly, I don't feel like their employees wanna assist the tenants with anything, just quit the job if you hate it so much. Tripalink give your employees a raise. Plus, heard from a friend in the industry saying they illegally moved tenants' deposit to do highly risky investments. If you can avoid anything associated with this company at all cost. I have put in 10 separate maintenance requests for 3 problems none of which have been solved. Some as easy as getting a battery for the smoke detector. There are bugs all over the kitchen and half of the amenities have been closed for two months for an issue that should take a week tops to fix. Place typically smells and is just overpriced. Went through 4 managers, nobody lived on site, so if anything ever happened, there was nobody to call, like the day my friend and I got stuck in an elevator. Just terrible management. I was also living in an apartment that wasn't to code and had to live the remainder of my lease with a wall they knocked down in the middle of my apartment. We also had no ventilation in kitchen so when we cooked we had to leave door open or alarms would go off. It was truly awful! read more

First of all, who change the lock to the apartment without notice the tenant? Don't give the tenant the new key. Ask about it and they don't take any actions. Since I'm working from home this almost cause me my job. No apologies either Now I can't even reach them. Now it's the weekend and I can't get home. Since they don't work during the weekend and don't have an emergency number, I can't get this resolved. And this isn't the first time such unforgiving thing has happened. When I first move it the room is dirty and the dryer is broken. It took them 6 month to fix the dryer. Half of a year! And their parking gate constantly breaks. It close automatically and hit the side of my car and made a dent. Again, never an apology from them, no action taken to result my lost which is clearly their fault. You can find out more from a review I did on google 7 month ago. And since their contract is not technically rent, is an installments, you are less protected by the law in California and I couldn't get out of it but to suffer. Oh, and if you rent from them, read the contract carefully. One of the clauses states: "If any legal action or proceeding be brought by either party to this agreement, the prevailing party shall be reimbursed for all reasonable attorneys' fees up to but not more than $500 in addition to other damages awarded." So if you rent from them, expect the worst management, no respect to the tenants, cheapest materials, and in a unsafe area of Los Angeles. read more

It was actually dirty because that day someone came into the apartment trying to steal the furniture. It's about me having all my moving boxes that day in the car and, even though you guys put me in the other apartment, I would have to leave my TV with all my stuff in my car that night. It's about after I paid 3,294 for Tripalink to rent the room, my room's door was broken and had some handprints from the thief on the wall. Yes, I got someone to subleased my room. Thanks God! But even so, Tripalink's communication leak made the process more difficult. Yes, I was instructed to talk to the person who subleased the room and so I talked to her and she said she didn't get her deposited checks back from you guys (The leasing finished and she left on October 2021). My experience with this rental was terrible. The company took money from my deposit for a hole in the wall that was there originally, and they simply stopped responding to me about this issue and didn't provide any evidence. It's also worth noting that they will deduct a cleaning fee from your deposit, even if you've cleaned everything until it shines. To best describe my time with Tripalink, I'd like to give an analogy. Imagine, you book and put down a deposit for a 4 Star Hotel. As you arrive into the gated parking lot, you can't help but admire how modern the architecture looks compared to the dilapidated motel and gas station that is right next to it... As you become acquainted with your new room, you suddenly realize that you're paying $1700 a month for a view of an alley and gas station. You start to realize there's a hole in the ceiling that will never be fixed, a door lock that can be opened with any 6 digits (that also will never be fixed), and a property manager who is about as useful as a rock. The months go by, and you start to realize that the elevator permit has expired over a year ago as it dangerously shudders every time you use it. The wifi was out for over a month even though all the bills were paid. The monthly cleaning service outlined in the lease was not honored. The property manager won't give us a copy of the utility bill. The tandem parking spot that I paid for extra monthly is insanely cramped it's difficult to park without hitting something. They expect move in day and move out day to be M-F: 9am-6pm, which doesn't work for people who work or go to school. Walls are super thin. The front gate to enter the complex wasn't working for about a week until they fixed it. 0 stars. read more

Absolutely the worst housing company at USC. Avoid at all costs. Took them 3 months to respond to safety concerns regarding locks and a gap in our fence. Did not have air conditioning or hot water for the first 3 months as well. It took 2+ weeks of calling every single day to get these issues resolved. Some of the maintenance workers are rude and unprofessional. They do NOT help with subleasing at all - no prorating and they return your security deposit to the subleaser who did not pay it, leaving you to negotiate that yourself. Customer service is difficult to get in contact with and never seem to know what's going on. I would give them 0 stars if I could read more
