When I asked about it, the bartender gave a vague explanation about water not being allowed upstairs, which honestly didn't make much sense. I get that there may be policies, but offering bottled water for purchase seems like a simple fix--and that wasn't an option either. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're just looking to grab a drink and hang by the pool, and the vibe itself is nice. That said, I want to stay fair--this is just my experience, and I'm sharing it so others know what to expect. Since it's part of a hotel, it does feel like guests may be prioritized, so if you're not staying there, just be prepared for a potentially slower, less organized experience.

Leah also followed up with me on certain vendors after our appointment and was always willing to help. The only downside with The Bridal Bar is that they only recommend vendors that pay them to advertise their services. Since they are in La Jolla, a number of the vendors are on the pricier side. There's no expense to you to use their services though, so I definitely recommend them to anyone planning their wedding in San Diego.

Their sign about picking up a bucket of trash and getting a free coffee honestly blew my mind. Even little details like having real small towels in the bathroom instead of paper towels show how intentional they are about being eco-friendly. The coffee is also amazing! They have in-house flavors (always a plus), and I got the banana bread latte half sweet. It was so good and perfectly balanced. The setup is unique - it's more of a coffee kiosk attached to a surf shop, with a cute outdoor deck/backyard-style seating area behind it. When I went, most people were grabbing drinks to go, but there are benches where you can hang out and wait. There was a small line, but honestly it makes sense. I hope that more options, as in vendors, will be parking their kiosks or butts here to have more to offer. It was a lot of fun making a mess with dirt and different succulents. The succulents are healthy and there's a wide variety of pretty cool-looking ones. I fit about 12 succulents into my box and it looks beautiful. She also provides colored moss, stones, even ideas. I feel like it's a pretty good bang for your buck, considering that your arrangement is pretty much however many plants you can stuff into your box. Tip: If you want your succulents to pop out, fill your box to the top with dry dirt before arranging your plants on top. I left about an inch of space and my succulents are sunken kind of low into the box.

Wedding planning is nerve racking enough and Lindsay was so sweet and helpful throughout the process--this made us feel more at ease. She is also easy to communicate with. We have met a host of wonderful people and enjoyed numerous activities throughout the years. At last count, I think there are around 14 activities available each month. The club acknowledges many interests such as hiking, book groups, wine socials, golf, happy hours, Mah Jongg, etc. Special events such as outings to the Padres, a St. Patrick Day special dinner, whale watching and even a hockey game round off a list of fun times for everyone.
