Tons of gorgeous gemstone beads, shells (a must since they're literally at the ocean), amazing charm selection, and lots of findings. There's a variety of styles and vibes, to make a simple beachy piece or something more elaborate. I love that there are lots of beautiful finished pieces for sale throughout the shop, they help with ideas and inspiration to make your own. Staff is available to help you with ideas and expertise, and they also offer a variety of group or private classes you can take by request. Beads and more has created a happy little beading community, which is the sign of a great bead shop. This place is a Pacific Beach treasure, don't miss it.

My only other complaint (which is more so my fault) was that we sat at stools at a shorter table so I was hunched over for a while. I'm just old. The staff was really friendly, and I like that there's a BYOB policy. I would probably suggest going later in the evening to avoid all the birthday parties as it was pretty quiet when we came to pick up our piece near closing.

Usually it's ribbon to make money leis. The selection of ribbons, is okay. Not too spectacular- which ends up leaving me having to go elsewhere for the colors schemes and the type of ribbon... I needed a ribbon that was firm, not flimsy, and maybe an inch or so in width . No ribbon this time around. Found some wide eyed threading needles, which have been on my list for awhile. Different color options for twine. Now, for the artificial flowers... I think it's Ashland (?) that has the flower name labeled to the product. THANK YOU! And then, there were a few other artificial flower products that weren't labeled on the merchandise itself or on the shelves. The shelves had the SKU numbers- which doesn't help the consumer at all. Bummed on that- so, I had to order this specific item on Amazon. I do thank one of the employees for having a friendly approach when I asked for the twine- which saved me time from circling aisles.

The MORNING of the party when I'm running to pick up cake, ice, etc. I called Michael's from my car & asked if balloons were ready. This was approx. 2 pm. The man on the phone said " we can't find it". Not sure what that means so I asked what I should do next? He gave the phone to a woman who said, "bring your reciept to prove you bought it." When I purchased the lady said, "you're all set, you don't need anything else, just show up and we'll have it ready for you". I have no idea where the receipt is 2 months later!! I had to drive home turn my home upside down & found it. Sped to Michaels where they had my ballons by the register. I walked up and said "hi, are those my ballons"? She said "yeah, here" AND WALKED AWAY. Because I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet rather than run out I wanted a reason for all this so I asked "do we know what went wrong" to which this lady who looked like the manager replied, "the lady who took your order was crazy, she doesn't work here anymore". What?!?! Super unprofessional. Manager didn't even look at my receipt or at least apologize. Horrible experience.
