Lots of Negative Reviews but you need to remember that this area isn't the greatest and worrying about your car being broken into is not fun. I came here for a Kings game and paid $40. Yes parking is expensive but you need to remember that its really close to the venue, its well lit and has some cameras, and i saw some security rolling around in bikes. Overall i don't come here often but i'd gladly pay the $40 when i do. Other small parking lots are much less secure and not much cheaper. I do wish they lowered the price to $30 read more

LA LIVE's Best Parking SPOT! My family and I always feel safe parking here when we're heading to an event at Crypto or in LA Live. It's got plenty of security, it's well-lit, and there's always people around. Why don't I give this five stars then? Decided to see a movie at this theater during an Independent Film Festival and have dinner before. We parked in the suggested parking lot for the theater. The movie was about longer than we expected and we went over the validated parking price by 39 minutes. When we went to pay for the parking we were shocked to see that it was $40. We called the attendant to ask because we thought that there was no way that that was correct and was met with an attitude and she hung up on us. Never again. I feel scammed. read more

I parked here on a Saturday night and my car window got broken and a few things were stolen out of my car, despite it being a very clean and well-lit garage. Of all the parking lots around LA, this parking garage had good prices, wasn't crazy to get into to, and the staff helped us with finding good parking. Went for Anime Expo and we had events around the convention center and the hotel. So, we parked down there and the escalators and stairs weren't too bad. It felt comfortable and safe, and that's very important since we would leave the car for a few hours to enjoy the events and activities. The staff, again, super helpful. And I found the spaces to be comfortably wide enough for most cars. Paying for the ticket is also easy before you leave or while you leave. So convenient. read more

It's a shame that after 2 hours, parking in this hot a** garage costs $30. Whether you're here for a game, concert, movie, food, or hanging out, self and valet parking are the same price. Most places no longer validate and that sucks. This is probably why the lot isn't full to capacity as often as it used to be. If you're a lady in heels, the pros here are that you're in an underground lot centrally located to venues and won't have to walk far. There's also plenty of spaces. Otherwise, your best bet is to circle around and find cheaper parking down a few streets or in some squished lot. Bring some flats or wear comfy shoes! Lol read more

Yes I have to agree with many of you guys that this parking does make my cringe when I come to this area. I hate the fact that it is super expensive and that having a great time does cost an arm and a leg here. I wish they were more like Pasadena and somewhat cheaper for the rates! I know it is a new place but I feel like having to pay $25.00 every time you want to go out and eat a good food and watch a movie is a little bit on the crazy side. If you're here when there isn't an event going on, it's great. Other than that, plan on spending a lot of time searching for somewhere to park. I wish they had installed the light system other LA structures have installed so that you can easily see what's free and what's available down each row. Good points: The restaurants and Regal theater validates, but only knocks $5. Going to a concert costs $20 to park. Unless you're lucky and get a great spot, you're better off parking in one of the lots on Fig or Chick. The negative stars is getting out after the concert and the garage locked most of the exits. Bottlenecking occurs and it took half hour to leave because there's only 1 exit among all the arteries. read more

I'm well pleased that I got a spot that wasn't a million miles away - or a million floors underground. I don't even know if there are any floors below the main level you drive into, as I found a spot there. And there were lots of spots available (Wednesday evening around 7:00, no games on at Staples). The parking at those lots can be just as high or even more than LA Live, but they don't charge by the hour like they do at the LA Live Parking Garage (where a max ticket will cost you $25). read more

Have you ever gone to staples and had to worry about parking at the expensive lot? Maybe you'll chance it and park down Figueroa a few blocks at one of those uncovered parking lots, which are fine in the middle of the day, but kinda scary to walk back to at night. This parking lot is actually not a bad lot to park at because of its proximity and its reasonable price...if you know what to expect. Parking is $5 for the first two hours. Typically, your Laker game (or heaven forbid Clipper game) lasts about 3+ hours. If you arrive exactly at tip off (at risk of missing out players' intros) you'll pay the same amount as any other lot ($20 to $25). If you arrive to the game later, then you'll be paying less (a nice alternative when you're late) The other thing you could do (though i've yet to try) is that the Regal cinema is the only place that validates parking (up to to 4 hours for $5). If you could, you could buy a movie ticket and ask for validation, and then not see the movie and go to staples. Then when you ever want to go see that movie, you stop by a Regal and say 'I have this unused movie ticket, can I still watch it?'. If you have to go inside to get it validated (eg lose the stub), a movie ticket plus $5 is still cheaper than paying for 3+ hours of parking. Its a clean garage thats well lit with lots of attendants. Makes you feel like you're in a normal downtown. The second to last time I was here, the Grammys were held at the Nokia Live center, so it was fun to see guys in tuxes and gals in evening wear. I didn't really recognize any celebrities but these were people who carried themselves differently from us common folk. Bring your ticket with you and see if the movie deal works out for you if you plan on staying long. If not, $5 for 2 hours right next to staples isn't terrible. read more

The LA Live Parking has the most outrageous, overrated, ridiculous expensive fees in Los Angeles! No one should park here for $30 or $27 depending on east/West side or the event itself. I paid $30 for 3 hours. The sign said $15 is max. Their assistant manager, Jose, lied to me that rates were on tickets! It does NOT state rates whatsoever. They are misinterpreting the parking sign and fees as you come in to enter. No validation either even if you go to the restaurants. Ridiculous! Park elsewhere! No receipt after paying from the attendant either. What? You call that customer service? Zero receipt with my transaction? I called them right after and spoke to Janelle. She said if I had questions to ask for a supervisor on the spot. Well I said then since it's midnight, why tell me to speak to one when you did not have any working? Believe me when I say it pains me to write one star reviews. Let's see--$5 for first two hours and $5 for each additional 30 min. Ended up paying $25 which is max. It takes a good amount of time and experience in playing "Rush Hour" to find a spot. Had to SQUEEZE into a parking spot turning from one lane only, so be prepared for a 10 point turn to enter and leave a parking spot with a full sized sedan on a Friday night. Now imagine for a second you were carrying a family and had an SUV or minivan and tried to park in such a situation. No movie theater validation on the east side where I parked (Georgia st garage is where you should be for that, but no external signs for indication). Park somewhere else. read more

Do not park here if you can avoid it! Had a 3.5 hour dinner at Flemmings and got my ticket validated. Paid $20 on my way out. Ridiculous. If you think you can finish your meal within 2 hours, then it would be okay to park here but if you're looking to hang out try to look for parking on the street. It's seldom that I ever go for the one star, but in this instance I really don't know why anyone would have any kind words to say about L.A. Live's parking garage. Let's lay it out there, the rates are just too damn much for what you're experiencing. There's nothing here that you can really get in and out quickly enough to not have to pay through the nose in rates. Even with validation it's just not worth the price of coming here. I'll go one step further and point out that the stigma that parking in L.A. in general, let alone a place where a sports game, concert and so much more events are happening at the same time just screams "DO NOT COME HERE" and is probably why the mecca of downtown social gatherings is generally a vast wasteland. It's all due to the fact that parking here sucks. Though I will suggest that if you are even thinking of going to anything at L.A. Live, it'll most likely be during the hours that parking meters in the 1-2 blocks away range will be off and you're better off hoofing it the 2 blocks in there opposed to having to deal with strange validation hoops to jump through and what not. But yeah, $5 for parking with movie validation still seems too high - especially considering the price of movie admission these days. Yes, I did just have a "back in my day...." moment. read more

Yeah no doubt it's expensive. If you can go to 888 S Figueroa, their prices are cheaper by far, except you have to walk a couple blocks. However we turned in here by mistake and there was no way to get out. Luckily we landed on a $15 flat fee day and we ended up staying for a number of hours. So I guess it worked out. We had pre paid parking after asking where to park and being directed to a parking spot. They told us we needed to pay $30. Also stated no manager will talk to us. They refused to let us leave until we paid. I need management or someone to respond to us being taken advantage of. $60 for park is unacceptable and been taken advantage of management needs to be aware and need to compensate for the lose and trauma we had to go through. I parked here because I had advance notice that the restaurant I was eating at -- Rock N Fish -- validated parking. Caveat: Not many of the restaurants/bars in LA Live validate; in fact, Rock N Fish is one of the few that does. However -- despite validation, and the reassurance that even though I exceeded my 2 hour limit, $5 is all I would pay -- I attempt to leave the structure and find that I owe $15. My Validation ticket is for $5 off of my parking total. That's a cruel joke considering that they charge $5 for every 30 minutes. Does New York City even have the gall to charge those rates? There's a lot to park for $5 for the whole night just across the street from the entrance to this garage. Don't support this extortion racket. read more

My car was keyed and scratched last night! I called security and they told me that the parking garage was not responsible for deaths or scratches on my car if I parked my car there! I paid $28 dollars to park. Across from that parking lot was another parking structure. They were asking for $40 dollars to park there. Parking attendants are kinda bitchy. I drove in and told her I needed to turn out (cuz once I turned into the wrong entrance) and she rolled her eyes at me and just pointed to turn right. Seriously?!?! Other than that, parking is fine. If I could give this parking garage 0 Stars I would! Today I spent around $100 at LA Live between eating dinner at Rock N Fish, drinking at Yardhouse and seeing a movie. All was good, until my parking bill was $20! Here is the situation: I went to dinner and got a $5, 2 hour validation from Rock n Fish. I had a nice meal and decided to go have a beer or 2 at yardhouse before heading into my movie. I went to the movie theater and got a 4 hour validation. I stayed a total of 5 hours between eating and seeing a movie. I put both my validations into the machine and I still owed $20!!! There is nothing worst than spending you hard earned money on entertainment, I should be raped with a $20 parking fee. That would have paid for 2 more rounds of drinks at yardhouse or even a meal at rock n fish. There are plenty of $5 cash lots right across the street. They may even be closer and more convenient to LA Live. Never again will I EVER park in the LA Live parking garage again! I will take my money elsewhere! I am even thinking about writing mean nasty letters to the establishments located in LA Live. Who knows, if enough people complain they may move their business elsewhere. read more

It can get EXPENSIVE and hot! I went in after 9:00PM on a Thursday night the minimum was $5 to park (for up to 2 hours) and the maximum was $10 (for 2.5 hours or more). I've been there during the day and paid $25 which sucks. If you don't mind walking, I recommend parking in nearby lots. read more
