Not the best pizza I've ever had, but certainly decent. I wish the egg on top of my pizza was runny, it seemed a bit overcooked. My friend said she actually enjoyed the pizza here than a lot of the pizza she has had in Italy! The service was a bit on the slower side, but that seems consistent for the area. Here is what we noticed: - When we arrived, it was a little hot, so we opted to sit indoors, not realizing that we would be sitting near the open windows by the outdoor smoking section so be aware. - The menu is quite expansive, with lots of homemade pastas and pizzas. There were a lot of other interesting dishes that we wish we could try, but we just didn't need more than a couple. - We ordered a bottle of white wine and the server brought out the wrong one (a red). Luckily, we noticed it before it was opened and he brought out something else since the one we ordered apparently wasn't available. It ended up being really good! - We ordered a dozen snails, and eventually he served us four of them, indicating that they were all out, but that we wouldn't be charged. That was too bad because they were delicious and we wish they had had more. - We ordered the Quattro Fromaggio Pizza and the Tortellini Scampi for both of us to share. They were both excellent! - Service was OK, but our server got less attentive as the place got more crowded. It took forever for us to get our check and pay at the end even though we asked a couple of times. Bottom line: La Gioconda hit the spot for our first night in Geneva. It's not cheap but we didn't expect otherwise.

I loved the buratta, pesto and tomatoes, the tomatoes were the best I have eaten all summer. My pasta was not home made as I expected. Three pastas on the menu in a place decorated as a Momma's kitchen, I was expecting home made. The gorgonzola sauce hardly tasted like gorgonzola. Apparently the linguine was much better. I will try the pizza on my next visit. Service was very nice, wine was Italian and delicious!

The restaurant was bright and cheery with many families enjoying their surroundings. I was expecting to wait as the restaurant was very busy but within minutes our server took our drink order. The menu for just the pizzas and Calzones were more choices than anyone should have reason to ask for not to mention the pasta and meat choices.
