While staying in the area we walked here for dinner one evening... the staff graciously greeted us with a smile and promptly seated us without having a reservation. Our primary server was great, very informative, helpful, and engaging. The menu is interesting, it's mostly all grilled meats and meat-related appetizers. He brought us our some fried polenta as something to nosh on while we decided what we wanted for dinner and those polenta were great!
We started with a nice red wine and a bottle of rosé as well as their sausage appetizer. This sausage is made in-house and then grilled. It was amazing and remarkably not very fatty! We ordered some sides, such as their potatoes and their white beans to accompany our entrées and those were very nicely seasoned and tasty. For our entrées we were slightly disappointed though... we got their beef which is grilled and one of us got it with mushrooms and one of got it with their Chianti sauce. The Chianti sauce was a little too sweet and not as savory as it should have been. The meat was too stringy and chewy and really tough to eat. We did manage to get some good pieces, which were flavorful and actually were filled up from everything else we ate, that it didn't bother us too much.
Overall - Great service and a nice menu... If you do come, perhaps get a different cut of meat or one of those chickens they grill, those look amazing! read more
