Now this is probably because I ate by myself but the service was horrid. Granted I went on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed. After I got my food my waiter just never came back. I had to pay at the bar which is really embarrassing but im sure its just an isolated incident. Now let's talk about the food. ITS SO DAMN GOOD. I haven't even tried their famous tacos yet. I got the I heart special. Which is steak shrimp and chicken laid on top a bed of rice with onions and green bell peppers. They then drizzle their queso dip on top of it to complete the dish. The greatest part about this meal is the price and the serving size. What you're looking at is only $10. not to mention it was really good Mexican food. I would say the highlight here is the shrimp. Now, this restaurant is absolutely hopping every night just about. On weekends, it's full of large crowds of happy people, amazing food, and a staff that's truly up to the challenge. I've never had an order mixed up here, and never had a rude waiter or waitress. I've been here perhaps more times than I can count over the years, and the taste never changes. It also, incidentally remains one of the only restaurants in town that my mother can consistently eat at with all her stomach issues. It's clean, it's delicious, and friendly. Looking at the place, it is pretty humbe. But that is okay. In fact, I often find that the best Mexican food does not come from a high-end place dripping with ambiance and atmosphere, but rather the best Mexican, at least I have found, comes from these mom-and-pop establishments like this.
