This place is known by tourists and locals alike, and is often recommended for its relatively cheap prices. I wouldn't say the food is beyond stellar though. I came here for a birthday dinner of my friend's mom, and got the Pugliese pizza (simple cheese with onion). The size wasn't too big or too small. I normally cut the crusts off of pizza so when I did that, it was enough! We also got tiramisu to split amongst ourselves, which wasn't too bad. There was a top layer that was very thick and creamy, which was what made the tiramisu delicious in my opinion. read more

The prices here are super affordable, so if you're low on cash this is your place. I started with the bruschetta. I received 4 very large pieces that had absolutely no flavor to the tomatoes. My main course was the spaghetti with pesto and promodoro. The flavor was good but the pasta was over cooked. read more

My wife and I stopped here during our honeymoon in Milan. We sat outside and I must say we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. The food was great and so affordable. I think it was maybe $16 for two decent size pizzas with a drink. Very reasonable priced and it tasted really good as well. The service was quick and the waitress spoke English well and she was very nice. Give this place a try if you're around, lots of good options to choose from! read more

So so experience for dinner. Prices are very reasonable but would have happily paid more for a better experience. The pesto pizza was good once we sopped up all the oil on top with a couple of napkins. Spaghetti carbonara was piping hot and good pasta but more like a creamy cheese sauce than true carbonara and a little bland. Gave us a free appetizer of focaccia with tomatoes and rocket which was tasty. House red wine was not what we expected-a pretty fruity wine with some fizz, served chilled so more like a Lambrusco. Would suggest a bottle for anyone else, which are reasonably priced. Came to €21 including a water and €1 coperto each. Gave the waiter €25 in cash to pay the tab and he asked if he could keep it, so needless to say that was pretty tacky. Noticed a lot of locals doing carry out on the pizza, so that may be the way to go. read more

Very good and cheap spot off the main drag. It's quite cheap and probably better than many of the fairly pricey spots on the canals. When we went there were several local parties going on and the ambiance was very lively. We got a pizza to split along with a seafood and fresh pomodoro pasta and a sausage & pomodoro ragu pasta. Add in a couple of beers and it was a very nice italian meal! Recommended for good solid italian food. If you need the canal view grab some food here before heading to the canals for drinks later in the evening. read more

I come here often as it's close to home, food's ok/good and it's cheap.

We thought it was an excellent meal for the price and what we were craving. Pizza, salad and fruit. Pizza was good, the salad was huge and we got the olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dress it ourselves. We were craving fruit after so much spaghetti throughout the trip so the watermelon hit the spot and was nice and sweet. We also took wine and the price was absolutely reasonable. Yes, there are mosquitos outside so we went inside. All the eateries along the canal have that problem. Thank you Rick Steves (Italy guide book) for recommending this place. read more

Let me begin by saying this restaurant was BY FAR the worst experience I have had in my 17 day trip to Italy. We get there and it smells like a campfire because they are burning incense as mosquito repellent with a burner placed beside every table. That would be fine.. if it worked. I had multiple bites all over my body and my clothes, skin, and hair smell like I sat around a campfire all night. Food was very cheap and I realized why when the food came. Everything we ordered was less than typical Italian cuisine, nothing special. I'd rather pay more for better quality. You have to be very careful when reading the "English" menu. They must have used an automated translator because 2 people in my party ordered the "Scaloppine con vino bianco o limone" which was described in the menu as "scallops in white wine or lemon". Scallops and veal are obviously two totally different foods and can really throw a wrench into your meal if you don't eat meat. I brought this translation error to attention of the wait staff, but they don't understand what "scallops" are, so the misunderstanding is our fault. I asked the waiter to take the veal away because we were not going to eat it, so he took it... and brought it back in a to-go box. Of course they charged us for it, but since the food was so inexpensive I didn't mind paying. Aside from the food, the service was almost non existent. We had to flag down our waiter any time we needed anything. If you want a good, authentic, Italian restaurant, I highly recommend you DO NOT eat at this place. read more

We stumbled in off of our road trip into Milan, not giving any thought to the timing of our arrival. All we knew was we were hungry! The place was empty, and we didn't realize until later that it was because we walked in during siesta. But the gentlemen in the restaurant didn't hesitate to provide us with a perfectly delicious meal. We had a few pizzas, including our favorite, the pesto. We also shared a large salad. Everything was good, and our servers were warm and friendly, and not the least bit impatient with our sub-par Italian or our poor timing. read more
