Found this place here on yelp. It has a great atmosphere and location. We chose to eat inside because it was still kind of warm outside. The interior location was very nice and you get to watch the bartender as he mixes drinks. We ordered the margarita pizza. My daughter said, " this crust is really good". We also ordered the Osso Buco because of other recommendations here on yelp. It was so delicious. The risotto was creamy and yummy and the lamb was falling off the bone. So good! My son ordered the carbonara. It was so creamy and the bacon inside is so delicious. The bruschetta .... Ahhhh!!!! That was to die for. The toast was so crunchy and the tomatoes tasted so good. The restaurant is located along one side of the waterfront adjacent to the canal so it's a great place to eat food while people-watching. We ordered the pesto pasta and the sliced beef with vegetables. Both dishes were presented beautifully and tasted even better! Really homey restaurant along the water serving traditional dishes of Milan! We had to try the risotto, ossobuco, and the cotoletta, which are three classic dishes you must try in Milan. The cotoletta (veal cutlet) was super thin and seasoned really well. It's also a massive portion so definitely worth the price! The ossobuco was very tender and flavorful. It went really well with the savory saffron risotto. I liked that the risotto was very al dente. Overall the portions here are huge -- we definitely ordered too much! The tiramisu was quite rich and dense, with a generous amount of cocoa powder dusted on top and a strong coffee flavor. Definitely on the decadent side of desserts. The space inside is cozy and there were lots of locals dining in. Service is fast & friendly, and they accept card. Really glad we tried this spot out during our stay in Milan! read more

Oggi ero in vena di un classico milanese (sono sempre in vena in realtà...) ed ero sui navigli sul presto. Tutti i ristoranti aprono verso le 12:15, ma questo era aperto già verso le 11:45 o anche prima, visto che c'erano già persone che mangiavano quando sono arrivato. Benissimo, non avevo voglia di aspettare mezz'ora. Mi siedo fuori e ordino il risotto alla milanese con l'ossobuco. Attendo il giusto, visto che il risotto è fatto al momento, e ricevo un bel piatto abbondante con due ossobuchi. Good spot if you're hungry and don't want to fight the market crowds. The focaccia was great!

Sitting outside on the river was very tranquil although many people on a Sunday afternoon. Got lucky and got a great table under an umbrella. Quite busy but worth the wait. Started with a selection of local cheeses and although small for 5 persons all of them great. The eggplant appetizer was good to share and tasty. The salads are quite large and great. read more

This place was just ok for me. The risotto was super cheesey and a little too al dente for my taste. This was our most expensive meal in Milan and was not nearly as satisfying as some of the other places that we ate at. I would not return to eat here if I came back. read more

I had really high expectations for this place based on the reviews but was underwhelmed. Had the tagliatelle with ham and zucchini. It was a bit too salty for my taste but the tagliatelle was cooked well. Their wine options are limited if you're ordering by the glass. It was either a white dry wine or prosecco or 2 types of red wine. The bread was also very boring in my opinion. Very cute atmosphere and views of the canal though. This restaurant was right on the water where we easily got a table outside for 2 with no reservations. The food was good, not anything extraordinary and as mentioned before pricey. The menu was very small and the wait staff was nice but didn't check in much. Aside from the food, this outdoor seating was filled with swarming mosquitoes. We were not sitting for more than 2 minutes when we got at least 10 bug bites each. If we didn't begin ordering, I would have gotten up right there but instead I was forced to pay 10 Euro for bug spray from a guy selling it on the side of the road. read more

A lovely location along the canal. Only disappointing thing is the street hawkers will not leave you alone. I started with bacon and black bread. It was actually Lardo. Not horrible but too rich for my taste and the texture eventually did me in. My main course was tagliatelle with mushrooms. The portion was very generous and I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the Porta Genova area. read more

Go here to get a classic italian pasta while also having a great view of Navigli in a casual atmosphere(in the warmer months). I recommend to sit outside if its warm, but if not the inside of Luca e Andrea is also very cute. The menu is on the smaller and simpler side and the ingredients are fresh. read more

Limited review. Loved the area and the one dish I got at this restaurant. I ordered the osso buco and risotto which was delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and the risotto was creamy and flavorful. The restaurant seems to be a little off from the main tourist areas in the Nivigli district which is well worth the visit. We found this restaurant to be very run of the mill. Adequate if you're hungry. It was mentioned that this is a seafood restaurant but the only seafood option was mussels, which looked fine. A beautiful little place along the Navigli Grande Canal. I was one of the only three tables that were occupied, however this did not deter from the quality of the food. This is a fantastic restaurant in Milan that happens to be the best place to experiment with Milanese cuisine. The risotto is outstanding. Cotaletto is fantastic. And the standard pasta dishes are better than anything we've had anyplace else in Italy. For Americans just learning about actual Italian food, this is a great and forgiving place to eat. And that's a direct tribute to the staff, each is wonderful. read more

Had the good fortune to stay very close by this little gem. Reasonably priced (coming from Australia, everything here seems to be) and a great all round experience. Quick with the meals and very friendly and as a bonus, most of the staff speak good English. In the mornings when I came in with my toddler daughter, they made sure to take my order quickly and serve me without fuss. Friendly without being bothersome, great food every time. I'll remember them fondly. A happy accident that I was happy to repeat several times during my week in Milan. read more
