Food was only okay. Bread was dry and not served with oil or butter or anything. Service was slow and un helpful. Asked for recommendations and was given eyerolls. Ambiance was nice but there are definitly better choices. Skip this one

Risotto alla milanese con ossobuco, molto buono!
    Andrea O.

Sitting outside on the river was very tranquil although many people on a Sunday afternoon. Got lucky and got a great table under an umbrella. Quite busy but worth the wait. Started with a selection of local cheeses and although small for 5 persons all of them great. The eggplant appetizer was good to share and tasty. The salads are quite large and great.

I had really high expectations for this place based on the reviews but was underwhelmed. Had the tagliatelle with ham and zucchini. It was a bit too salty for my taste but the tagliatelle was cooked well. Their wine options are limited if you're ordering by the glass. It was either a white dry wine or prosecco or 2 types of red wine. The bread was also very boring in my opinion. Very cute atmosphere and views of the canal though. Would be great for date night.

This restaurant was right on the water where we easily got a table outside for 2 with no reservations. The food was good, not anything extraordinary and as mentioned before pricey. The menu was very small and the wait staff was nice but didn't check in much. Aside from the food, this outdoor seating was filled with swarming mosquitoes. We were not sitting for more than 2 minutes when we got at least 10 bug bites each. If we didn't begin ordering, I would have gotten up right there but instead I was forced to pay 10 Euro for bug spray from a guy selling it on the side of the road.

Good sized ozzo buco, plates could be shared. The mussels were good, not spicy at all.

A lovely location along the canal. Only disappointing thing is the street hawkers will not leave you alone. I started with bacon and black bread. It was actually Lardo. Not horrible but too rich for my taste and the texture eventually did me in. My main course was tagliatelle with mushrooms. The portion was very generous and I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the Porta Genova area.

Go here to get a classic italian pasta while also having a great view of Navigli in a casual atmosphere(in the warmer months). I recommend to sit outside if its warm, but if not the inside of Luca e Andrea is also very cute. The menu is on the smaller and simpler side and the ingredients are fresh.

Osso Buco with Risotto. I guess the main dish to get in Milan and it is definitely worth it!

Limited review. Loved the area and the one dish I got at this restaurant. I ordered the osso buco and risotto which was delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and the risotto was creamy and flavorful. The restaurant seems to be a little off from the main tourist areas in the Nivigli district which is well worth the visit. Nice to get a bite near the river.

    That veal....... :')

First meal in Italy ;) so of course very sentimental and all I remember is DELICIOUS. Even despite waiting with starving tummies for over one hour after getting our bottle of rosso.....all I can remember is how much I enjoyed that food. I had the veal and potatoes. Some kind of amazing lemony sauce. Soft soft juicy meat. Oh my goodness. That's all. I loved it!

A beautiful little place along the Navigli Grande Canal. I was one of the only three tables that were occupied, however this did not deter from the quality of the food. I had a simple spaghettoni with traditional red sauce and it was incredible! I also recommend the house Sangiovese red wine... yum, yum, yum!

Good spot if you're hungry and don't want to fight the market crowds. The focaccia was great!

It's located in a stand alone building about a 10 minute drive from the Duomo. It seemed at least 1/2 if not more of the customers on a Saturday evening were locals rather than tourists. A definite positive in my book. We tried the stuffed octopus, grilled scallops, Captain's Risotto, bavette with shrimp and tomato, grilled monkfish, and grilled prawns with garlic and chili oil. The stuffed octopus was just ok. The grilled scallops were amazing. The bavette pasta dish was perfectly al dente and had a great flavor. The grilled prawns were superb, however there were only 5 prawns for 40 euros which seems rather ambitious . The monkfish was delicious as well. I really enjoyed the chicory salad for 5 euros. My only gripe here were the numerous flys that were buzzing around the table throughout the entire meal. It was of course late July in the middle of the summer, but I really would expect more from the restaurant. Maybe bug lights, fans, misters or something. Really too many flys for a place of this caliber. The service was prompt and attentive. Food: 4.0 - 4.5 stars Service: 4.25 stars Ambiance: 3.5-4.0 stars Would I come back? Yes, but maybe in the winter instead. Pro Tip: a few items in the menu are marked for a minimum of 2 people. I overheard the waiter next to us offering another customer the ability to order any of the items for just 1 person.

Had a wonderful meal with capesante (scallops) appetizer, seafood primo, and a large Rombo (similar to a Halibut but a bit different) with wine and and interesting desert... for sixe people it came to 388 euro, so say 65 euro per person. The location is cool, a stand alone white building at the end of the canal (hence "al porto")
