I had an early dinner here with a friend of mine Sunday and we loved it!! This place is so good. It's inside of a small Mexican grocery store (bodega/corner store vibes). The owners know how to pack a lot into a small space, haha. The workers here were friendly and very helpful. I was a little confused about ordering and paying and the woman upfront was eager to help. She was super nice. I'm used to paying up front if we don't have a designated server but here you order at the kitchen, grab your drink, enjoy your food and pay before you leave or while you're waiting. I will know for next time :) The food was awesome. I LOVED the birria tacos. My friend and I shared them. The meat was cooked perfectly, cheese was plentiful (the way I like it for sure), and the consumé was flavorful. My friend had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was a little on the boring side but still good. We shared the beef empanada and both enjoyed it. I like that they "dress it up." Nice atmosphere inside the market. Ordering was simple and quick, and the server was very friendly. The food arrived quickly and tasted really good. I ordered the carne asada burrito, which came with beans, rice, and lettuce. The flavors were great, but I would have liked a little more meat. Most of the carne asada seemed to be concentrated in one half of the burrito, leaving the other half with very little. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would come back. read more

I went on a Saturday and it was packed ( rich people of PTC sure love cheap food ). If you are new to this place be prepared to be confused . There is no directions telling you how to order.. you have to go in the back and order from the Cook's. Then you take your slip up to the cashier and pay . Then you stand around the small dirty grocery store packed In line hoping the cook brings your to go food . The food to go was ok . It's just startling how dirty it is in there , floors look like they never been mopped , package was thrown all away over the place, dirty shelf's . I wish I can give 00000000 stars Every time I come to this location (which has only been three times recently), they somehow change the price on me. I always order the same thing, but each visit brings a new surprise charge. This time, after purchasing a burrito to go, they told me I had to pay extra for the side sauce -- something that has never been mentioned before and is not posted anywhere on their signage or menu. It was embarrassing and frustrating to be told this after I had already paid. To make things worse, I've also had issues with the products they sell. Some of the tortillas I've bought here were covered in a white film and had no visible expiration date -- once I got home, I realized they were rotten. I've also noticed that several items on their shelves are expired, so you really have to double-check everything before buying. The only reason I've ever come back is because of their orange sauce, which is really good -- but honestly, it's not worth dealing with the rude service, constant price changes, and questionable product quality. I want to start by saying the food is excellent. Hands down the best Mexican food we've had in this area so far. The chicken is moist and well seasoned, and the tortillas are delicious. We ordered chicken tacos, a chicken burrito, and a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla wasn't made in the same way we've had it in the past, but still really good. It resembles an extra large taco. I gave 4 starts because if you're a fist time customer the ordering/payment process is pretty confusing. The restaurant is connected to a small market, and you pay for your food after you eat. The restaurant itself doesn't offer beverages so we thought we paid for the drinks on the market side, which we did while we waited for our food. When it came to paying for our meal they tried to charge us again for our drinks so we had to explain that they were already paid for. They give you a ticket on the restaurant side, then you pay on the market side. We had to then remind the cashier on the market side that we already paid for them. I would highly recommend just getting your drinks and paying for everything at the end. There were several customers who were as confused as we were. Overall we were happy with our meal, and I'm sure we'll return soon. read more

My new favorite lunch spot. So when you enter the grocery store, the restaurant is to the left. When you look around, you harken back to your recent trip to Mexico, and not in a bad way. The menu is over the kitchen, you grab a small number stand and place your order. Find a seat and your food will be delivered to you. While you wait, grab a drink from the many beverage coolers. I think that they even had beer, but I may have been dreaming. The food was outstanding. We started with chips and guacamole that was very tasty and fresh. There were two squeeze bottles of hot sauce that we enjoyed, green and red. Both packed some heat, with red going that extra mile. Had to call the police on the aggressive manager! Horrible experience. If your are not Mexican BEWARE (other reviewers have noted the same). My family frequents this restaurant often. Unfortunately today the food we received contained spoiled food that smelled rancid. The manager refused to refund us for the food after acknowledging it had a spoiled smell. When my wife attempted to return the food, the manager violently snatched the food away from her and through it in the trash and floor and told her that she would not refund the money. I wanted to try everything so settled for three different tacos, I had chorizo, pollo and pork all on corn tortilla (because flour is for losers). Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. Beautifully executed. At $6 that's an awesome deal. The place is not the most visually appealing but who cares when they serve food like they do. Wow what a hidden gem. I heard a chef say the other day if you want to know if a restaurant is any good, come visit on a Monday so I did. It was fairly full and a very steady stream of customers. This is a great little lunch spot serving authentic food inside of a tienda. I ordered enchiladas de molé, a chicken gordita, puerco en salsa rojo and an horchata. Everything was super delicious & I was absolutely blown away when they brought out homemade tortillas for me! I definitely have left overs to take home too.
