Cute little place to stop by. Pretty tasty too and I love the authentic feel! Very neat layout and unique dessert options.

    Do they sell Mexican grocerys?

No- it's more of a dessert shop.

This location on west main is the only dairy queen I will go to in San juan county…read more The owners are friendly and aim to have great customer service. They are always working side by side with the staff making orders or cleaning. We got here at 930pm and the drive thru line was long. But the line moved quickly. We ate inside. The chicken strips and fries were cooked to perfection, the gravy was nice and creamy, and the blizzard was delicious. I drive down from Aztec to this location. The family at the time next to us said they drive from Kirtland to this location as well.

I tried to show one employee the picture that automatically downloads onto the app- the picture the customer sees. The employee looked at the picture puzzled, then said, ""uhhhh....", then looked around for a manager to come approve it. Another time, I had to tell them, "Hey, here's the best I can do" as I showed them my phone that displayed the customer's address after the order was verified. Once the order is scanned, or the picture is taken, the app just moves on to the next thing. This is ice cream. Some of these people live like 20 minutes away & want me to leave it at their door in hot, summer weather. And DoorDash is holding delivery drivers to a stringent time schedule, so there's really no time for this. The only way to prove the order has been verified is to have the employee come out from behind the counter to stand over my shoulder and watch. This level of micro-management would make me feel very uncomfortable. I am the one responsible for making sure this order is verified. I need to be looking at my screen, not turning it directly around so that someone standing behind a counter 3 feet away from me can look at what I am responsible for seeing while it's happening. I don't know if they've had customers call to say their order was never delivered...? I don't know if some DoorDasher somewhere else stole the food...? I just know that I would never do that, and I can't imagine another DoorDasher doing that either. When I am there to pick up ice cream, there is no time to say everything I've just said here in this review. I feel that if I tried, I would just be seen as argumentive and problematic, so I say nothing while I quietly go to the section of the app that allows me to let DoorDash know why I haven't left the store yet. I have thought a lot about the most effective way to handle this. Suggesting that the employee come out from behind the counter to watch me verify the order would show proof of verification, but I fear I would be interpreted as a Karen for making said suggestion, and as previously stated, that level of micro-management would make me feel really uncomfortable. I've thought about filming myself verifying the order so I can play back the video, but that process seems a little long and complicated, and as I said, I need to get this ice cream over to someone's house before it melts. My intuition tells me this is due to an underlying mistrust on the part of management at this particulalar Dairy Queen location. I don't know why, but it feels like they just aren't confident in the integrity or comeptence levels of the delivery drivers. Maybe they just don't trust DoorDash...? In any case, I think the best thing for me to do in order to avoid future complications and conflicts would be to simply decline orders from this specific location. Unfortunately, that means my acceptance rate will go down; which will lower my overall score (thankfully only by a very small amount). But if my rating is going down over this, it's only fair that your does as well. Sorry for the miscommunication. Thank you.
