Darling ice cream joint I've been coming to for over 20 years. I haven't lived in Aztec for at least a decade but I'm always happy to return when I'm in town. The names of the sundaes are still the same as when I was a kid - turtle, grasshopper, etc. The outside atmosphere has changed a bit over the years but the homemade ice cream and the Vanilla Moose sign remain authentic. Off the top of my head, I can't even think of another place that serves a banana split... always a favorite. When strolling through Aztec give this little ice cream parlor a visit. The ice cream was subpar, it had a plastic taste. Had better ice cream at Baskin Robbins. If you want really yummy ice cream, go to durango at the cream bean. So creamy! We paid 25.00 for 4 scoops of ice cream and a reg size shake. Their prices are not correctly listed on their signs so beware when you go to pay. As always the Vanilla Moose meets or exceeds expectations! We had never tried any of their sundaes and decided to try the Grasshopper and the Fudge Brownie sundaes. Came here and was served melted I've cream because they did not know how to run a credit card. They held my ice cream until they figured it out. the milkshake also sat there for about 10 minutes. Horrible customer service. read more

Best ice cream around, far better than the local Dairy Queen. Hubby says it's better than Aspen Leaf and Cold Stone in Farmington, too. Prices are good for the value and quality. My all time to die for favorite is the Moose Cake sundae, but they do not carry it all season. Tonight I tried a malt for the 1st time and it is excellent, Caramel Banana Nut. Hubby's favorite is the key lime sundae. I wasn't a huge fan of the hot fudge brownie. Quaint local shop, and definitely worth giving your business to. read more
