Day-um, I didn't anticipate this kinda thang in Farmington! I guess I should preface this by noting that apparently we visited on the last weekend they opened at 9am. The line stretched nearly out the door, and five or six cars sat in the parking lot, so the lazy owners that wanted their damn weekend sleep couldn't pretend to avoid the obvious: y'all serve coffee, wake up early. They're now opening at eight. But anyways. Cool space! It's a barn, kinda, with decent coffee, an enormous space to sip, lotsa tables, local arts and crafts everywhere, very tasty baked goods, friendly sleep-deprived staff. Across the board, this was the best way to start the day in Farmington, even if we needed to migrate to the nearby cafe to satiate our appetites. The place is cool with the potential for coolest. Good job guys!

This is a local Favorite location of mine! Not only is it and art studio but they invite you to explore the many studios as they work on projects. The upstairs has a beautiful view and a couple friendly cats. They serve and assortment of fresh coffees, cookies, teas and even lemonades. Perfect for meetings or study work.

A favorite in Farmington, located inside Artifacts Gallery, you will find freshly made baked goods every day and excellent coffee drinks! With the recent upgrades to downtown Main Street, this is a great spot to stop and linger--PLENTY of room to safely distance--or just pop in and grab something to go. If you are lucky enough to find Tara's croissants, it's a red letter day. But be forewarned, they often sell out, so go early if you can!

This old lumber mill space is still the best ever

Ah ok so it's not 302 but the space, THE SPACE!!! Honestly Farmingtonians, you should get coffee here just so you can hang out in the space that I'm going to rant about now. Artifacts is a gallery/store/coffee shop in a repurposed lumber mill. It has high ceilings, an amazing ambiance, art, and lots of different places to sit and do work (I'm talking about that free wi-fi kids) or just bask. There aren't many places to do that in this town, so hit this place up! The baked goods are pretty good. Not as good as before but pretty good. And the coffee well..... I will admit that I have become somewhat of a coffee snob... let's just leave that. The caffeine still works! And it's a local business okay?! F Star-Shmucks and Durango Bros!! Support local! Hang out in a unique space! Buy local art! And so on!

First time here and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere to visit. Decor spot on. Art gallery inside and gifts to purchase. Tasty food and great Latte!

Pastry was very dry! I can buy prepackaged pastry at the grocery store that has more moisture! I ended up throwing it away!

what is there to say about this place?…read more i personally have never eaten anything here EXCEPT their bakery goods which were superb, best in town, hands down. Every morning they seem to have a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, good coffee, big smiles and a beautiful building. I have seen their breakfasts being delivered to tables and can say they look delicious but a big breakfast sends me straight back to bed... When i am in town.. i stop here every single time, always, without fail.

May 2026 My wife and…read moreI were visiting Durango for a few days. She took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go because of a medical condition that prevents me from traveling to high altitudes, and the train climbs to around 10,000 feet. After she left on her adventure, I decided to find some breakfast. While I was walking around town, my aunt called. She and my uncle used to vacation in Ouray every year, so she knows the area well. She recommended Jean-Pierre Bakery, so that's where I headed. I was seated right away and ordered a coffee while I looked over the menu. My waitress was very friendly, and we chatted for a while. She even recommended a few places around town that I should check out. I finally decided on the Croque Monsieur (brioche, béchamel, ham, and Swiss cheese) served with a salad. When my meal arrived, it looked fantastic. The sandwich was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. It was my first time trying a Croque Monsieur, and I really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette paired perfectly with it. After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist ordering a pistachio cream-filled éclair that had caught my eye when I first walked in. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The pastry was very dry, and the bottom was quite hard. It definitely didn't taste freshly made. The pistachio cream had a nice flavor, but there wasn't very much of it. I mentioned my concerns to my server, and she kindly brought me a chocolate éclair to try instead. It also looked wonderful, but it had the same problem. The pastry tasted old, almost like it had been sitting for a couple of days. I would absolutely return for another Croque Monsieur or to try something else from the breakfast or lunch menu because that part of the meal was excellent. As for the pastries, they certainly look beautiful, but based on my experience, I would probably pass on them next time. This would have been a solid 4 star if those eclair had of been good.
