First, the location is super convenient for me (I can walk there), they have ample parking, and not only is it a spa - they also have a really great gift shop curated with unique items from candles to jewelry to stationary and more. As for services, I come here to see Kate (Rebel Skin) who keeps my crazy eye brows from being frightening! So - world, you should thank her for that. I have also had a lovely facial with her - leaving my skin well moisturized and glowing. I know they have a variety of aestheticians there - offering a wide array of services. I must confess, even though I've always had lash envy I never thought I'd be the type to do eyelash extensions. But after years of looking at my hubby's naturally long gorgeous lashes, I finally decided that, fine - you can be naturally leaner than I am with your stupid, high, taken-for-granted metabolism, BUT THE LASH GAME IS MINE, ERIK. Enter my secret weapon - Becky of Roman Lash. Sweet pancake-flipping jesus, why didn't I do this sooner? Not only is getting them done incredibly therapeutic (laying on a comfy massage table with your eyes closed feels borderline meditative) but the end result is nothing short of astonishing the first time around. My first thought when I opened my eyes after the initial appointment was, wow! I can't feel a thing! I expected my lashes to feel... heavy, or goopy, or awkward. Nope. It felt like nothing at all had happened. Until I looked in the mirror and there was a GODDESS looking back at me. Girl, I'm talking eyelashes for daaaaays. Now I'm a little on the gawdy side, taste wise. So I tend to go for the thicker, please-make-me-look-like-a-drag-queen lashes. But she has different lengths and thicknesses, and can customize to your taste. Plus Becky is hands down one of the kindest, sweetest people you will ever meet, and her application is neat, clean and exactly what you'd want from someone coming at your eyeballs with tweezers and glue. Back in high school I used to get them waxed with the cloth strips and they were wicked painful so I started plucking them myself, overplucked it once and screwed up the shape. Took me years to get them back to normal length and now Joniece has restored my trust in someone waxing them and that my brows can be twin sisters not fraternal cousins . She uses her own special wax and some how afterwards I'm not super puffy and it doesn't hurt. She really is a magician and has created a wonderful day spa/waxing studio. Also, I once had a haircut done by Kaitlyn and I can easily say she gave me the best hair washing experience I've ever had to the point I'm considering just booking her on random occasions when I need a deep clean wash. The space is beautifully decorated and I like the lounge area (there's one downstairs and upstairs). You can enjoy coffee, tea, sparkling water and a granola bar while you wait for your appointment. Have never had an issues with the front desk, they've always been polite and kind to me!
