I have been going to LA Nails & Hair for over six years I recently had to switch to a new nail tech, Diana, and she is by far one of the best I've ever had. I get builder gel with gel polish, and she is incredibly meticulous and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. My nails have never looked better. I would absolutely recommend her! The only downside I've experienced is that even when I schedule specifically with her, I've been switched to other techs. I truly book with Diana for a reason and hope that can be honored moving forward. read more

Please be careful when booking online. Despite making a pedicure appointment with Julie a week in advance and receiving many text confirmations and confirming via phone, my appointment was not available with Julie when I showed up. They were able to find a later time with a different technician which I did not want to use. I spoke with the manager who agreed that there many issues with their online appointment protocol. This is the second time i've gone there. Both times I got Linda. The first time she didn't paint the nails to the edges, so they looked two weeks old within three days. Also i got just a color no design or anything that time. The second time is the photos you're seeing. I booked a regular french manicure, a service that they have listed on their site. She tried about twenty times to get me to do gel and i twenty times told her no i don't want gel. What i asked for was a simple french manicure like in the third picture but with blue instead of white as the line, and on one nail on each hand i wanted a little bear. When you boil it down the bear design is the equivalent of 9 circles. I did not think it would be that hard. she didn't even have to do the lines for the nose. Turns out it doesn't matter how easy the bear is, she couldn't do the french manicure. as you can see she didn't clean up my cuticles, they look like a five year old did them, and I sincerely feel i got the equivalent of nothing for this service. The most unprofessional thing i've ever experienced in a nail salon, she tried to get me out of there before her boss could see something was wrong. I've never asked for a discount before at a nail salon because i feel that's embarrassing so usually if i don't like the service i just deal with it, and still tip. But i feel i deserved one and they gave me a five dollar discount. The man who i believe is the manager was very understanding and tried his best to get the issue resolved but i unfortunately got this done the night prior to an event thats was early afternoon the next day so i wouldn't be able to come back in time. I also got a regular french pedicure, I was there for over two hours. I've never had an appointment take this long when it is regular nail polish. Even my acrylic nails with crazy designs dont take that long. okay rant over. just don't ever book with Linda is what i'm saying. read more

The worst manicure I've ever had. Linda was the one who attended me and I asked her for a nail polish and she told me that she had another one instead. The truth is that what interested me most was the remotion of my dry cuticles, which did not happen, nor did I have an exfoliation. I told her but she immediately start to enamel the nails with the color that she decided. I spent more time sitting in the dryer than in the manicure. A waste of time and money. read more

I had a really amazing pedicure done here that I will certainly go back for. Today was the first time I got my acrylics done there and I was not super happy about it.. but I think I chose the wrong nail tech.. I had Cathy, she really layered on the acrylic which makes the paint job look really messy. It also took her an hour and half to do my nails, 2 other customers were in and out in my time. She burned be with the file a couple of time and spilled a lot of her tools. I will go back but select a different tech. read more

I hate to see this business have 3 stars. I love it here! The person that reviewed it to have 1 star was mad she overheard workers talking about customers. Employees of all businesses do it all of the time. To you to me and to every one. She happened to overhear it. That's life! I showed up on time for my appointment and had to wait 40 minutes to start. Arrived at 3:15 and didn't start until almost 4pm. At this point I'm frustrated but whatever, nothing I can do now. Sit and get my nails done and come time to pay, the nail tech Linda rushes to ring me up instead of the front desk person who has been ringing people up (I know this because I had 45 minutes to watch people do this). She charges me $48 when I was told on the phone my service was $40, and even called to confirm this price. I did not get any extra services, a plain and simple fill with pink gel manicure. On top of that, my nails are uneven. Not sure why I got charged more when I had to wait so long for my scheduled appointment. Will never return here again and would advise anyone who values their time and money (since you will be overcharged!) against coming here. read more

My mom, sister, and sister-in-law all go to her too. She is so good and thorough. If you are looking for a new nail tech, go to Tracy! I'm a regular customer at LA Nails & Hair and have been coming here for a year now. Today, I had a nail appointment at 5:30. I got to LA Nails today and was forced to wait 30 minutes later than my scheduled time. While I was waiting, I was asked if I had previously scheduled an appointment six times after I received a phone call AND text confirming the said appointment. At 6, an employee finally approached me and sat me down. She was very kind but the appointment took 30 minutes longer than necessary. At the end of the appointment, I realized that my nails looked TERRIBLE. Each nail is a different size and shape and the nail polish is incredibly clumpy. I would attach a picture but I cannot look at them without feeling INCREDIBLY embarrassed. Normally, I would recommend this nail salon; however, this was a very off putting experience and not worth the time I waited for my appointment. read more

What a disappointment! I called to get an appointment for my daughter and her friends to get Manis and pedis, granted it was short notice, but the girl on the phone was nice at first and said she was going to confirm with someone else...well...she forgot to put me on hold and I heard the whole conversation between her and someone else!!! Let's just say that they weren't very nice...the conversation went: "This lady is calling to get a bunch of 12 year olds for Manis and pedis and doesn't want to spend the whole say here"!!! The other lady responded with "she's nuts!!!" And went on to say more rude things!!! All they had to do was say no we can't accommodate you on such short notice and that would have been the end of it. I'm not one to give many reviews especially poor ones but I feel like my experience here needs to be shared. I have a few opinions... I'd give this nail salon a 1 solely because of how rude the receptionist was and made comments about how difficult it would be for my nails to be completed due to having my children with me. My children are the most important thing to me and with me 98% of the time no matter what I'm doing. My son maybe made a peep or two and she made sure to mention how my kids behaved when checking out "allowing" me to have my nails completed. BUT I'd like to give my nail Technician Andrea 5s because of how she not only did my nails and helped pick my color but was patient with me as I switched my son from arm to arm between feeding him and keeping him calm. She offered to help my daughter with a video as well as giving her a car on the shelf to play with. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because I'd like to come back but not at the expense of snarky comments involving my children. I see why they're looking to hire a receptionist part time. read more

My normal nail tech, whom I love was on vacation so I was assigned Tracy today to do my nails. First she didn't help me pick a color, no big deal though, I pick the color that I think is closest to what I wanted and she takes me to her station. I sit down and right away she asks for my hand. I'm a little confused because I always get a design on one finger on each hand, so I asked her if she wanted to see the design that I wanted. She proceeds to tell me that I'm not scheduled for a design. I don't understand because I'm always scheduled for a design since I started going here 6+ months ago. She then refuses to do a design. The kicker, my best friend who I go with every 3 weeks, had the same thing with her appointment where she wasn't scheduled for a design, but her nail technician did the design she wanted (and her nails were finished before mine were). If this isn't bad enough, while I am getting my pedicure done by another nail technician, I have a chance to get a better look at my nails, which ended up being a blue mood changing color (not the color I wanted when I walked into the establishment today) and my nails aren't even completely painted. You can see so much nail on each sides and at the bottom of the nail near the cuticle. After I was done getting my pedicure and went up front to pay I told the receptionist that I wasn't happy with my nails and that they weren't completely painted and if there was any way I could get a discount because I felt like I shouldn't have to pay full price for my nails when they weren't even completely painted. She asked to look at my nails, which I showed her. She went and talked to her manager and then went to Tracy's station then back to me. She said that Tracy wanted to see me. I went over to her and she looked at my hands. She then told me that she wished I had told her before she was with her client. I proceeded to tell her that I didn't notice it until I was getting my pedicure. She then proceeds to tell me that she doesn't paint close to the cuticle because of getting paint on the skin. I told her that I understand that, but I have never left there after getting my nails done and them not be completely painted. For some reason, she thought that filing the sides would help the matter when all it did was take some more paint off of the sides. I ended up leaving, paying full price for nails that aren't completely painted and super upset. I love La Nails and Hair, but I was not a happy customer today. I will go back when my normal nail technician is there, but I will never let Tracy touch my nails again. read more
