The food was delicious. We had coconut shrimp, fish and chips, hummus plate, and 2 shrimp tostadas. Everything tasted fresh, right off the boat and portions were sizable. Price was 30-40% of what you'd pay for US based meals. When we went at 7pm on a Friday night, the place was empty which was worrying so please go and keep this place in business. read more

Great location and excellent outdoor seating. It's dog friendly which is great if you're traveling with your pet. The servers are attentive and the drinks are cold, beautiful food presentation but sometimes the flavor is just a little underwhelming. One of our favorite spots to relax and drink. read more

the worst staff ever. if you can, avoid this place. showed up as a family of 8. we were going to consume their good and beer but because we had our own cooler (with beer & water for the kids) they turned us away & refused us service. we were going to have our cooler by the beach, not their establishment & they still denied service. I guess their business is booming if they didn't want our money! sad thing is, we were frequent returning customers. even pitched in when this place burned to the ground. oh well, we will tell all out family and friends to stay away from la palapa griega read more

Our friends wanted to eat at a beach restaurant, they suggested a place they had heard of, La Palapa Griega here in San Carlos. We arrived and got seated and after about 15 minutes a waiter came by to take our order. We all ordered margaritas chips and salsa while we looked at the menu. The waiter arrived with two margaritas and two beers. We told him we all ordered margaritas. He became argumentative and insisted he brought the correct order and they had no chips and salsa. He grabbed the beers off the table spilling them and returned with the two margaritas. He asked for our order, we asked for a moment to decide. The four of us asked if it was worth staying at this restaurant. It was such a beautiful day and we were right on the water. We said, what the heck it can't get any worse. When he came back we placed our orders, what a disgusting disappointment. The shrimp smelled bad like they had been setting around for a long time. The salads were wilted and mushy with some kind of hot sauce, the meat in the Greek sandwich tasted off and the meat didn't look cooked. The fried calamari arrived fried to a crisp. To top it off the margaritas tasted like lemonade. We think they forgot the tequila. The manager came over to address our complaints, he told us "gringo tourists were always trouble, he never had trouble with the locals." We looked around and there was only one other couple there. We paid our bill NEVER TO RETURN. read more

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The view is awesome, right on the beach. They will serve you on the beach, if you like. The clams and Spaghetti was unbelievable, at least thirty clams. Fried calamari was good, but not as large as the picture shows. The gyros were very tasty, also. Good prices, and great service. Great food! Was personally completely taken back by the fact a Greek restaurant in Mexico could be so great. Right on the beach and the service was great. Pretty packed due to the live music, which we appreciated because there were lots of other kids to play with ours. Danny the manager even checked in half way through our meal to ensure we were happy. This restaurant is placed right next to the beach so it makes for a great atmosphere, plus you can let the kids run off to the beach while you wait for your food. The waiter was nice. We received our food quickly. The live music was nice. Beer is cheap. The price of the food is a little overpriced for what we got though. I would say I was kind of disappointed. The food was all eaten by the end of the night though and it wasn't a bad meal. I wouldn't come back though. read more

We came here on a Sunday evening. We checked the hour before we came. They close at 8pm. We arrived at 6:40pm. The server took our drink order, returned and asked what we wanted, we asked for a little more time to look over menu. He stood right over us waiting. Then says "you need to hurry, the kitchen is closing. We are are waiting on you". The Greek salad, moussaka and stuffed bell pepper(yellow) were all delicious. We rushed eating so they could close. Then had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get the check. Food is 4 stars service 1-2 stars. I will come back but in the day time. Hopefully service is better. read more

My family of six stopped in for dinner. We all ordered fish, prepared different ways: mine with garlic and butter, the boyfriend's with mango salsa, my sister's stuffed with crab and shrimp and wrapped in bacon, and my mom's-Diablo style. They were perfectly prepared and so flavorful, or sabroso, all four plates! I loved the fact that the music was not too loud; we were actually able to hear the waves crashing onto the shore.
