    Mussels, Ravoli, & Steak

VOh my goodness this restaurant exceeded my expectations! If you come here you must order the mussels it was absolutely delicious. It's a huge portion of mussels with butter garlic and bread. I loved it. My father had the ravioli and he enjoyed it. My brother ordered the steak and he loved it. Portion was the perfect amount. The service was very good too.

Relaxed spot with indoor and outdoor seating. There are no heating lamps but the lights outside are really pretty. There's a flower wall on the restaurant too that'll look nice during the daytime. The waiters speak limited English but it's still good for tourists and locals. We tried the oxtail, carbonara pizza, diavola pizza, and spaghetti bolognese. My mom absolutely loved the bolognese. The pizza was decent, and the oxtail was a good change from the typical pizza/pasta. They forgot to bring out the bread for the oxtail, but that was fine. Credit cards accepted.

Very good spot after a long day of exploring the Vatican. We tried a pizza, the roasted artichoke, and a charcuterie plate. The portions were standard but, in my opinion, were a little pricey. This is a great place to have a Peroni and relax after a long walk.

We stopped here for drinks & dessert. The service was okay. While the waiter was nice, he did not place one of the dessert orders for our table. We didn't say anything because we were ready to leave by the time he came to check on us. The Panna Cotta I had was really good especially the berry sauce. So far it's the best out of three I've had so far! 4 stars for the dessert.

After putting in a lot of steps at the Vatican, it was time to take a pizza break here. We took a table outside and split a pizza over some aperol spritz, which was very refreshing. 10€ Pizza Capricciosa - cheese, champignon mushrooms, tomato, egg, artichokes, olives, ham, salame: The crust was very crunchy and almost a little too hard. What confused me about the pizza was the distribution of ingredients. All the champignon mushrooms were piled up on one side. The olives were putted, but still whole. There were about five olives all clumped together. The one artichoke heart sat by one half of a hard-boiled egg and were not well integrated with the other ingredients. All the toppings appeared segregated as if they didn't belong on the same pizza. The pizza was not bad and this is a decent place to make a pit stop, but I probably would not return since there is so much good food to try in Rome.

Ufff where to start :) super good spaghetti and wine. We went with my family on a way back to our apartment from Vatican. Food is super good as well as beer and wine. My kiddo ate whole pizza and said that it's the best pizza that he ever had. Not to fancy, very casual. Be prepared especially US ppl that service is not too fast. Hahah Italians take their time but they are super nice and polite. Highly recommend for casual lunch.

Mediocre food and service. Close proximity to the Vatican which makes it convenient. My life and daughter enjoyed their spaghetti Bolognese but I thought it was very bland

The food was good but not great. I can barely remember what I ate. It was slightly overpriced so wouldn't recommend it.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

This shop is more of a countertop order from their limited menu but the menu is executed so well you'll be tempted to order multiple bowls. There are a few stools and table out front to enjoy your food hot. Both times I've been on separate visits within two years, has only shown me how consistent their food and quality is. You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish. They had one dish topped with pancetta and I just about wanted to lick my bowl clean. Everyone in the group was raving how delicious it was. Egg will forever be on my must-have when visiting Rome.
