Made it back 10 years later and still can say that their food and service is still very good. There's a variety of options for everyone. If you have a healthy appetite and want to discover their dishes, I recommend the feast menu. My favorites: hot & sour soup, shrimp Szechuan, black been beef, crispy beef sesame and yam gai salad. If you're in the West Island, definitely pass by!

Despite the smile that you see on the staff faces you can't help noticing that some don't feel right! After I got my order I realized what was it, it's the food! It's really bad and either it went bad! I reckon they need to change their cook or simply close the restaurant and do something else doesn't include serving food. The waiter did his best trying to convince me that this is how the dish taste (Curry Chicken) due to many flavouring yet he failed as I trust my taste buds more than anything else and I know when a dish doesn't right. So he changed it to another chicken dish without asking me or getting my consent!!! I eat my stir-fried cold! rice and some vegetables in silence and tried to sample the replaced dish but wasn't to my taste, so I paid my bill and left the restaurant with the hope that I won't be sick and that my friend will forgive me for my choice of venue.

Very tasty Chinese cuisine in the west island. Their peanut butter dumplings cannot be beaten!

The restaurant was pretty empty at that time, I prefer eating early since I dislike crowds and enjoy a more quiet atmosphere. If you don't have a reservation you can easily find a table before 6PM. We were greeted right away, service was prompt and friendly. Our group tried two types of appetizers, the fried calamari and kentucky style fried chicken. Both were delicious, fresh, left us wanting more. I found the portion was pretty small compared to the price, for $19 the calamari was just enough for 2 people, not meant to share with a whole table unless you only get 1 or 2 bites each. Our main meals were 3 different types of steak, one opted for a large rib eye, a new york strip and filet mignon, and one person had the salmon. We upgraded sides to the cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. In all we were very impressed with the food, the flavor, cook and portions for the main meals were excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection and well seasoned - this was entirely different compared to our last experience at the Lucille's in Dix 30. The servers took time to refill our water and clean the tables in between meals, change our cultery too. I could tell there was a particular attention to us. I think it makes a huge difference when you are basically the only table in the restaurant at that time. This a great place to enjoy quality food if you like seafood or steak in particular - the atmosphere is modern, there's lots of place to sit both indoor or outdoors and the service was top notch. I would come back for a special occasion, I felt very satisfied with the whole experience.

The entrance to the home prepares you for the grand night. You walk through a lovely garden up to the front door. This was a full french dinner that lasted 4 hours. The restaurant brought small courses in between our ordered courses and the were separated by time giving you space to visit with your party and to digest. The small in-between courses included a small scoop of pallet cleansing sorbet, bread, and after desert they brought a second light desert of a choux pastry (cream puff without the cream filling). Food was absolutely exquisite. I started with seared Foie Gras which was prepared perfectly, super tender and rich. I understand the ethical concerns with Foie Gras, but it is hard to find in the US and I wanted to take opportunity to enjoy a little while abroad. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I was seated at a table next to the window where I could have a glimpse of the lake, a nice view. I ordered the special menu for the day as shown in the photo. There were bread and bite size of appetizer on the house. Then the appetizer for the day was rabbit to eat with crackers with sweet tasted onion and a tiny pickle on the side. This was an adventure for me since I had never eaten any rabbit before. Personally, The rabbit tasted like chicken to me. It was smooth and light to eat with crackers like this. Then came the main course, beef shoulder roast with Béarnaise sauce. The beef shoulder was tender and the sauce lightened up the taste of the meat. I also love the mashed sweet yams on the side and the potato was cut in very thin slices. I was so satisfied with the elegant presentation and the delicious taste of the main course. The dessert was a big piece of chocolate in pyramid shape. It went well with the berries and milk on the side. Yet it was a bit too sweet and too much for me to my personal taste after the main course. This was a very nice French cuisine.

I had the Thai chicken wrap which came with a side garden salad. Both were delicious and I was impressed that the side salad wasn't a boring little lettuce and tomato with cucumber salad, it was a mix of spinach and field greens with the most delicious balsamic vinaigrette I have ever had. It was a great lunch that filled me up but wasn't heavy at all . I am looking forward to coming back to try other items.
