I tried very hard to figure out where exactly this meet and greet was, as all the information I was given was that it was on CSU's campus. I sent emails, but heard no replies. I wandered around CSU that day for almost forty-five minutes and found nobody. Also, none of the faculty seemed to know what I was talking about. I then sent multiple emails to the camp and called the cooperate office as well. Nothing. I ended up sending more emails stating that I quit and would not be on the site once the camp started. I also mentioned how unhappy I was the the blatant unprofessionalism that was directed towards me. STILL NO REPLIES. FINALLY after writing a very angry review on their google+ page, I was told that the camp had been cancelled and they were very sorry I wasn't informed. I had to buy a specific outfit for the meet and greet and I wasted time and gas driving around CSU's campus. I could have looked for another Summer job if I had known this would have happened. I ended up nearly going broke over the summer due to grad school fees. I was depending on that job to help pay my fees... and it got taken away from me. No, I was SCAMMED out of it. Like others have said, this entire "camp" is a huge scam. Countless locations have either cancelled last minute or closed the camps after one day. This guy is…read moregoing from state to state (I'm in Fayetteville/Cumberland County, NC) using the local university as an advertising piece for a summer camp. He requires fees up from and during the mandatory meeting the location sometimes change and he blames the university for the "last minute" change. The camp will either start and cancel abruptly shortly after or it never starts at all. He tells you to submit a request for a refund but never refunds the money. If you have been scammed by the aforementioned, please file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and file a police report. This has to stop. I am typically a person who checks everything out before I put money out and this time I did not because he was advertising with the university where I worked and I know there practice when it comes to contracts. They never went into contract with him and had no idea that he was advertising a camp using the schools name and this is what he counts on....people trusting the name of the school. Check EVERYTHING out, I will from now on, no exceptions!!
