This past fall, I had the privilege of being chosen for the Haunted Library/Vampire Muse Call from La Photographie. From the moment I applied to finally picking up my photo book, Stephanie has been a joy to work with. Every step of the process is thoroughly explained upon your initial conversation with Stephanie. She keeps an open and consistent line of communication and provides helpful guides on posing and wardrobe. Stephanie's number one priority is your comfort; both physical and emotional. She (and her wonderful assistant) took time to ask for consent any time they may have needed to touch near an intimate part of my body. It was never taken as a given that the first yes was a blanket yes for the entire session. Additionally, my physical limitations were taken into consideration and Stephanie adapted to how my body was able to pose, checking in on my comfort whenever a position was in question. I've honestly never felt more beautiful than when I saw myself through Stephanie's lens. She captured that dream image I always wished I could be. I am so proud to show my photos off to everyone that comes into my home (mine are on the PG-13 range of spicy). I've done three La Photographie photo shoots over the years, and I can't recommend working with Stephanie enough! I was a little nervous going into my first session, but Stephanie immediately put me at ease with her kind and encouraging demeanor. She also provided guidance throughout the session, helping me figure out how to pose and move to get the best shots, and she was genuinely excited when she knew she captured something special during a session. Also, her use of lighting to capture the mood in her photos is fantastic, and her editing skills are second-to-none. I enjoyed my first session so much (and the finished photos!) that I booked two more sessions. I love having these photos to look back at, especially as a brand new mom who feels a bit removed from her old self at the moment. Like, I'm not showering most days, but dang, I do clean up good! I had been admiring Stephanie's work for years, but had never pursued the opportunity to shoot with her, at least until she posted a "Muse Call" with a theme I had to be a part of: Enchanted Waters. From initial consultation to travel, to shooting and final orders, Stephanie provided expert advice. This is not the first boudoir or pro photo shoot I have done, but it was definitely a standout experience. I feel /okay/ in front of a camera, but I struggle with often believing I am making the same expressions or choosing the same poses. I created with Stephanie July of 2024 and it was such a fun experience! Never having never done boudoir before, I truly didn't know where to start. My photoshoot was part of the Muse Call Enchanted Waters set, and I also chose to shoot in The Forest as well as the Secret Garden. I've been shooting with Stephanie for many, many years at this point, but I wanted to share a bit about why I've continued to seek her work out for over a decade. The first photo below is from my first real shoot with La Photographie, and it was the first time I felt really beautiful in a photo (no exceptions, no "I wish I looked X way, or X feature was less visible). That was over a decade ago, and I've been chasing the feeling ever since. It's worth mentioning that in addition to being an incredibly talented photographer, Stephanie also makes you feel great during your session. I always feel like I look amazing during. And more than that, you learn how to look better in photos through working with her. The last two photos here are very different from each other, but they are all from more recent shoots where I feel like we totally nailed the vibe I wanted in that moment. As a dancer and performer, it can be a real challenge to collect images of your work. I can't be offstage with a camera and onstage at the same time. Stephanie's presence on the front row of my shows means I can relax and focus on my real job, rather than fretting about how my art will be represented in print. I have also had boudoir and glamour sessions with La Photographie and I can say without any doubts, that Stephanie is the best in Nashville (and maybe the country). Other pictures I've had made by other companies look cheesy and contrived. Stephanie has a real gift for making you feel comfortable in your skin so that you get the best possible images that look natural, effortless, and somehow ethereal at the same time. I had an amazing time with La Photographie. The whole experience is something that I recommend for anyone who struggles with body confidence, or is looking to explore another side of themselves. I connected with Stephanie through some mutual acquaintances of ours, and split the shoot between boudoir shots and more comedic poses that I could use with my comedy career. I felt very comfortable pitching shoot ideas and Stephanie took them and ran with them! My photos came back super stylish and sexy, and demonstrated both my humor and hotness. The day spent at the studio was a dream come true. It was like being in a life-size doll house and getting to be a doll; putting on outfits, getting into poses, playing with different roles. I loved every minute of the pampering. Stephanie makes it so easy & effortless. It wasn't long before the playful side of me came out. And then ... THE PHOTOS! It's like nothing you've ever seen of yourself. So beautiful, so humbling and grateful for this body. It's hard to put into words how deeply healing this work is. I chose to use La Photographie for my first boudoir photoshoot. I had always wanted to do one, but I was nervous about it. Stephanie was recommended to me by a friend and now I recommend her to all of my friends.
